Day 201 [event post]
Who: Zahi and everyone who wants to go hunt down the cure
Open: Open
When: 201- onwards
Where: the monument, and then out on the Skyway
What: People in the Bastion are falling sick, and Zahi knows where a cure can be found. Unfortunately, it won't be easy to get to.
Format: action
Warnings: none
[On Day 201, after several people have fallen ill, another meeting is called. This time, however, it is not Nathaniel who has called for everyone. It's Zahi.]
Okay, I know everyone's been worried about the people in the hospital, and it looks like our fears weren't unfounded: some of the people who went on that last trip, they caught something.
I've been watching the symptoms, and I think I know what this is. A long time ago, back before Zayna was born, there was a terrible illness that claimed the lives of many Ura. Everyone who fell sick here, they had the same symptoms as those who caught the disease before.
On the plus side, this means that it can be cured. I know of a clinic, way out in the Terminals, where there should be some medicine stocked. Not only can we cure the sick, but we can give another kind of medicine to those who aren't sick yet, so they won't catch it at all.
The downside is that it's gonna take a while to get there. It'll be at least two days there, and possibly more to track down exactly where the clinic is, and then the same amount of time back. We're looking at a four-day minimum, which means we won't be much help to those who are sick right now. They'll either be dead or getting better by the time we get back.
Then there's the fact that it's really dangerous out there. Zayna and I were out on the Terminals before we came here, and let's just say that there's a reason we went looking for somewhere safer to stay.
If you'd rather stay here, I can understand that. The Bastion is an amazing place, and I wouldn't be surprised if someone here managed to save everyone. But I'm not a fan of putting all my eggs in one basket, so I figured it's worth a shot to go and try to get some of the medicine.
What do you guys think?

<I'm in. You're probably going to need some kind of scout anyway, and if it comes down to fighting I've got some options for wading in. And if the worst happens, you can hand some of the medicine over and I can fly it back here.>

Think you could do that for us?

[Zuko doesn't understand why there's even a question. If this is their best chance for a cure, they need to form their group and go, not stand around discussing it.]

With as much danger is out there, we need some semblance of a plan. I understand that time is of the essence here but we won't help anyone by getting ourselves killed.

There's also that flying boat. I don't plan on coming along to make it go any faster than normal, but you can go straight with it, instead of following twists and turns of the skyway.

That's perfect, anything to speed up the trip is just what they need.]
Yeah, taking that there and back will definitely be a good idea. Does anyone know how to pilot those things? Because I gotta admit, I have no idea.

Surely we have ... equipment here, dearest? We could at least culture the infectious organism, provided this is not a spirit-sickness.
I just need some space and glassware and ... ah. I suppose you're not advanced enough for microbiology, are you? I'll need nutrient agar ...
no subject
There's plenty of space at the hospital for that, though Colin might insist that you stay in the quarantine if you go there.

Day 202
Roxas now lies curled up under a blanket, coughing and trying to understand how he can feel so cold when he's been told his temperature is high. His own illness isn't the foremost worry in his mind, though, and anyone coming into the room might be greeted with a hopeful if groggy question:]
Xion?
[The Samurai lingers in the room, keeping watch over its master. It won't leave, but may be persuaded to run errands if they benefit Roxas.]

Day 202
She didn't want to eat, talk, think. Sleep was almost impossible, though, her dreams far to vivid and disturbing in her feverish haze to be even remotely restful.
So she just laid there, curled in to a cat-like ball with her tail wrapped around her torso beneath a pile of blankets, her messy black hair and a very slight show of her pointed ears the only sign that anyone or anything was even beneath that mass of covers.]

Day 203
He eventually forces himself up on his elbows in an effort to extricate himself from the blankets and, once free, grabs an armful of clothing without actually paying attention to what he's taking. There are only two thoughts running through his mind, those thoughts alone propelling him forward - must go to Seimei. Must keep Hikaru safe. He's heard enough about this sickness to know he needs to try to keep Hikaru well away from it. Well away from him.
Even though he really, really wants to curl up in bed with all the blankets he owns. He can't concentrate on that thought too much, it is entirely too appealing.]
[He makes it to the hospital eventually, stifling coughs into his bundle and jeez, those stairs almost killed him. He slumps against the door and just starts banging. Someone had better let him in. The pounding is only going to get more and more frantic the longer he is ignored.]

Day 201 onward
[So, at really all hours of the day and night, one can find him hard at work scrubbing down the hospital like he's trying to completely and utterly eradicate the idea of bacteria. His sleeves are rolled up, and there's a small Cubone that's learned that it can attach itself to his skirts and come along for the ride.]
[Occasionally, a small Rattle-tail or two can be found trailing after him as well. The majority of the small flock, however, can be found in his room.]
[Feel free to bug him away from his self imposed duties. Maybe you can even ask him if he has any idea where some random objects have disappeared to- seems like it's become easier to misplace things or have them get lose apparently.]

day 202
She was taking a small break now, though, having been on her feet for the past few hours. She found a place to sit down and let out a breath.
This whole thing was heartbreaking. As much care as she and others had tried to give to the ones infected, there just didn't seem to be much improvement overall. She was more than worried. It was hard to be around all of this and keep an optimistic attitude, but she was really trying. ]

Day 202: at the Terminals
But before they can do that, they have to get to a certain clinic. A certain underground clinic, since most Ura homes and buildings are underground. Zahi is leading the way, but it can be difficult to see just where to go. The fact that everything is labeled in Ura certainly doesn't help.]
Okay, anyone who can fly, it'd be really helpful if you could be our eyes in the sky right now. I know this place like the back of my hand, but if someone's moved in since I left, there could be trouble.
The clinic itself is over that way, it's got a bright red door with a white symbol on it. While we travel, keep your eyes out for monsters.
[Oddly enough, this part of the terminals doesn't look as barren as the rest. Someone has clearly been through here in the last few days. That could be a sign of trouble.
So, do you investigate and try to find signs of life, or head right for the clinic?]
