What: People in the Bastion are falling sick, and Zahi knows where a cure can be found. Unfortunately, it won't be easy to get to.

[On Day 201, after several people have fallen ill, another meeting is called. This time, however, it is not Nathaniel who has called for everyone. It's Zahi.]

Okay, I know everyone's been worried about the people in the hospital, and it looks like our fears weren't unfounded: some of the people who went on that last trip, they caught something.

I've been watching the symptoms, and I think I know what this is. A long time ago, back before Zayna was born, there was a terrible illness that claimed the lives of many Ura. Everyone who fell sick here, they had the same symptoms as those who caught the disease before.

On the plus side, this means that it can be cured. I know of a clinic, way out in the Terminals, where there should be some medicine stocked. Not only can we cure the sick, but we can give another kind of medicine to those who aren't sick yet, so they won't catch it at all.

The downside is that it's gonna take a while to get there. It'll be at least two days there, and possibly more to track down exactly where the clinic is, and then the same amount of time back. We're looking at a four-day minimum, which means we won't be much help to those who are sick right now. They'll either be dead or getting better by the time we get back.

Then there's the fact that it's really dangerous out there. Zayna and I were out on the Terminals before we came here, and let's just say that there's a reason we went looking for somewhere safer to stay.

If you'd rather stay here, I can understand that. The Bastion is an amazing place, and I wouldn't be surprised if someone here managed to save everyone. But I'm not a fan of putting all my eggs in one basket, so I figured it's worth a shot to go and try to get some of the medicine.

Day 201 Onward

[If anyone needs Colin, he is spending most of his time running around the hospital. When he's NOT running round the hospital, he's outside, getting a flame bath before he goes about whatever business he needs to do outside of the Hospital.]

[If anyone needs him, feel free to grab him. He's used to that during this scenario.]

Day 202

[How do you feel about scrawny, distressed red-heads grabbing you in the middle of the hospital, Colin? Hikaru's just accepted that his twin is down with the plague, and that news doesn't sit so well with him. Not a trace of safety gear can be found on him, but aside from the fear and traces of tears around his reddened eyes he's in perfect condition.]

You--do you know anything that's going on? Where are the guys with the cure?

[This is him being polite, even though his strained voice and rough grip give him away as being close to snapping. Please have some answers, dude.]

[Colin isn't happy about it in the slightest, but he's not really been able to enforce a more thorough quarantine, has he? Fortunately, Hikaru's caught him running between rooms and business, so he's not terribly interrupted at the moment.]

Hikaru, right?

Very little is going on. We're treating everyone. Seimei is not going to be happy that you're here.

Fortunately, the expedition team is making good time. They're not back yet, but they should be back in the next day or so.

[Yes, Colin will lie if he has to.]

[The quarantine sucked, anyway. He and Kaoru didn't even come inside during it, but one of them still wound up infected. Hikaru will be more than happy to outline how much of a complete failure that quarantine was to anyone who will listen.]

Who gives a crap if he'll be happy? He's got other reasons to be pissed off. [If he can even stay lucid long enough to realize them... Fuck, this situation is messed up.

It might be his unwillingness to relinquish control of his twin's fate to just anyone, but Hikaru's not really willing to accept 'within the next day or so'.]

What if they get into trouble? There are enough of us here, couldn't we try making something to help?

Only if you want to kill Seimei and Kaoru.

[Colin's expression is sympathetic, as sympathetic as one can be in an environmental suit anyway.]

We've got a virologist researching here, but that's not as easy as it sounds.

She might have cheated. Just maybe. ]

[Colin gives her a grin from behind his helmet.]

You bring this for me?

I can get food, but sometimes you want to get things and I don't know what they are.

[ She cheats. ]

Oh, it's okay. Nobody here will know everything I want. I'm complicated that way. Thank you, Anna.

There are probably people who could use your help more than me, but I appreciate it just the same.

[He smiles at her from behind his helmet. Too bad she probably can't see it.]

You are helping the sick - and I can give you things. No one else leaves the hospital. And I don't want to go in, in case I get someone sick.

[He's quite grateful for her presence, it's definitely helping.]

Are you holding up okay through all of this?

... Its a little lonely. [ Because AZ is in the hospital, and N is out helping Jay. ]

But it's better to be a little lonely than to try seeing people and let the plague get out.

I can only imagine. Is there anything that I can do to help you while I work on helping everyone else? You're being very helpful, I'd like to see your needs met.

You should focus on the sick people. And the ones directly taking care of them.. [ Because she saw what could happen. It doesn't look like things were heading down that way, but she doesn't want something to go wrong because someone decided to focus on her instead of sick people.

But she thinks for a little bit. ]

A little wagon could make it so I can carry more.

[ And put Mikoto in it. He's getting too big for her to hold long, but he's not very fast on his own... which is why he's stopping by her feet now. ]

[Colin nods, and he looks at her thoughtfully.]

I can make a wagon pretty easily. Might take me a little over an hour or so.

[He nods to himself.]

Yeah, that's easily done. I can make you a wagon in no time flat.
