[So hey. There's this girl. She's been in this place for a while, helped out with a lot of things, and today she got to help do something awesome! Cores are important to the Bastion after all, so that's a good thing.

Except she kind of... lit herself on fire and a lot of people saw it.

Anyone want to talk to her about that?

In all seriousness, Rin can be found after all that hubbub taking a break near the apartments, outside because she really doesn't want to be in her room right now. She's nursing a bit of a wound on her thigh from sliding on her legs under the bird earlier, but whatever road rash she got from doing so is starting to fade finally. Her sword is lying next to her in the grass, and she's just on her back, watching the odd sky above the Bastion quietly.

Mostly because her ears are still kind of ringing from what Crona did.

Ringing ears won't stop her from holding a conversation, though, if anyone cares to bother her, and she's in a decent mood given their accomplishments.]

[ Hey, here's a knight, although Duke isn't clanking too much right now. ]

I can take care of that, if you'd rather not wait.

[ Just going to point at those scrapes. ]

[ Rin did catch herself on fire, which had been a little impressive, but she also had an adorable tail so maybe it was all part of the package. Besides, given that Marie had turned her hand into a giant hammer and beat a horse-sized bird in the head, she had no room to think anything anyone else did was off.

She crouches down by the girl when she comes close, her whole demeanor very warm. ]

Hey there, Rin. Mind if I join you?

[Alucard is not normally the type to initiate conversation; even less so when his ears have still not entirely recovered from the pink-haired one's attack. This time, however, is different; this time he has a reason to speak to the first person he has ever encountered that is like himself...

He quietly takes a seat next to her. For a few moments he stares out at nothing, contemplating what to say, how to begin.]

...I have never seen flames quite so blue as those you produced today.

[Certainly a more tactful thing to say than to directly ask what composed of the non-human half of her blood; a demon of some sort if he were to hazard a guess.]

[Everything went a lot better than expected. There's one less giant monster to worry about, and they managed to get the Core without anyone getting seriously hurt. They were very disorganized in their attempt, though, which had almost gotten them seriously hurt.

It's only good that they were fast, and that Alucard didn't get hurt from his fall.

But Bon remembers that Rin's ears are sensitive, and that attack hurt even his own regular ears. He figures Rin has to be hurting from that screeching attack. So he'll go talk to her about that, rather than how she can light herself on fire. He's seen that before, after all.]

[And then there's this guy coming over to check on his buddy.

Yeah, Maka's a little miffed still about being told to run rather than help his allies fight, but there's only so much pouting you can do before realizing that you would basically be a sitting duck and it was for the best. After all, the Core got back to Bastion, and now things will be better. That and his mind is still spinning from the use of his Soul Perception. He still can't quite figure out what was nagging at him so much in it.

Better as far as they can be when most of your loved ones may or may not be dead and the only ones that are here think that you're supposed to be a girl anyway.

He sits down on her other side, not peeking into her field of vision but looking down at her nonetheless.]

[Pretty quickly after the fight was over, Crona realized that maybe sonic attacks weren't the best thing in this situation. After all, they hurt the people fighting beside Crona as well as the actual opponent.

Crona should apologize, and so the meister's going to make an attempt. Which actually means just standing at the corner of the nearest wall, and leaning cautiously around it to stare at Rin.]

[ Hey, Rin, hey. Shiro plods over to Rin's side. He's still wearing his heavy winter coat and oddly bunny-shaped hat; his manacles still clink loudly as he walks and somehow navigates his feet in such a way that he doesn't step on the chain extending between the wrist links. The loud footfalls of his steps can easily be attributed to his heavy-duty winter boots, which he appears to continue to wear despite the overall genial weather of the Bastion. ]

Hi, uh. Rin? [ He sounds slightly confused, in that perpetual wonder he seems to have, and waves, all sparkly eyes and toothy grin. ] Whatcha doing?

[ He's staring at that road rash, not comprehending its existence. ]
