[So hey. There's this girl. She's been in this place for a while, helped out with a lot of things, and today she got to help do something awesome! Cores are important to the Bastion after all, so that's a good thing.

Except she kind of... lit herself on fire and a lot of people saw it.

Anyone want to talk to her about that?

In all seriousness, Rin can be found after all that hubbub taking a break near the apartments, outside because she really doesn't want to be in her room right now. She's nursing a bit of a wound on her thigh from sliding on her legs under the bird earlier, but whatever road rash she got from doing so is starting to fade finally. Her sword is lying next to her in the grass, and she's just on her back, watching the odd sky above the Bastion quietly.

Mostly because her ears are still kind of ringing from what Crona did.

Ringing ears won't stop her from holding a conversation, though, if anyone cares to bother her, and she's in a decent mood given their accomplishments.]

[ Hey, Rin, hey. Shiro plods over to Rin's side. He's still wearing his heavy winter coat and oddly bunny-shaped hat; his manacles still clink loudly as he walks and somehow navigates his feet in such a way that he doesn't step on the chain extending between the wrist links. The loud footfalls of his steps can easily be attributed to his heavy-duty winter boots, which he appears to continue to wear despite the overall genial weather of the Bastion. ]

Hi, uh. Rin? [ He sounds slightly confused, in that perpetual wonder he seems to have, and waves, all sparkly eyes and toothy grin. ] Whatcha doing?

[ He's staring at that road rash, not comprehending its existence. ]

[The heavier footfalls actually alert her to his presence easier than others, since her ears are still ringing pretty badly. She sits up when she hears him approaching, rolling her shoulders and neck a little.]

Just takin' a break.

Why? [ Then he points at her injury. ] That?

Huh? ... oh. Right. Yeah, kinda.

[Rin points at her right ear]

This, too. That attack Crona did really hurt my ears.

[ He has to think about it for a little bit before he places just what Rin is talking about. ]

Oh yeah. That was loud. I mean, what was that anyway, gosh? It was really big and GOWAAAAAHHHH.

[ He best attempt at mimicking the sound is rather unrecognizable. ]

How did it hurt your ears? They look normal.

[Rin laughs at little at the noise, shaking her head.]

On the inside. My ears are really sensitive.

[ Shiro plods over to Rin's side, squinting up at her ears. ]

Inside? Can I see?

I'unno how much you're gonna be able to see in there.

[But she leans down anyway]

[ Shiro gets right up in there, scrambling to practically climb up Rin's side in order to get closer to her ear. Gosh, why is he so short? ]

Wow, it's dark in there. Why's it so dark in your ears? Is that why they're sensitive?

[ What is logic. ]

Ehehe-- that tickles... !

[Breathing in her ear ohgod]

No, that's not why.

[ Careful, you might make him confuse 'tickle' with 'hurt'. ]

Shiro tickles?

You were breathin' in my ear. It felt funny.

[ And thus, Shiro learned that breathing in people's ears feels funny. He exhales in a silent GOWAAAAAHHHH, just to see Rin's reaction. ]

[Okay that was loud AND it tickled and Rin is just going to kind of flail around and put a hand over her ear because Shiro sthap]

[ Shiro laughs, because obviously this is hilarious. ]

Hahaha, wow, it worked! Me, me!

[ He pulls his hat off because the ear flaps afford his ears too much protection. ]

I wanna try!

[Okay, he's got her laughing. That's actually pretty good.]

You sure you want me to do that? It feels weird.

Yeah! Shiro wants to know tickles!

[ He points at his ears as if Rin doesn't know where they are. ]

[she ain't gonna yell like he did, but there's a little puff of air at his ear]

[ Shiro literally rolls over onto his side laughing, because that is obviously the correct response. ]

Hahahaha, wow, that's 'tickles'! 'Tickles' is fun!

[Rin snorts in a very unladylike manner, letting out a laugh after.]

Yeah, I guess it is.

[ Shiro doesn't get up all the way, but he does sit up a bit to face Rin better. ]

Does your ear still hurt now that it tickles?

It's gettin' better.
