Day 241 [OPEN] - Wakeup call
Who: Ibuki Mioda and whoever!
Open: Open forever
When: Day 241, very early in the morning
Where: Around the Monument.
What: Ibuki Mioda arrives at the Bastion... loudly.
Format: Log, but willing to switch to other formats!
Warnings: Scary ghost! 2 spooky!
It was just only becoming daylight at the Bastion when a new arrival would show: A young lady with wild hair. There was nothing particularly extraodinary about her, unless one was to notice the "horns" on her head; but that was only her hair styled to resemble such a feature.
She looked a bit confused and travel-worn; but a one hour walk was really nothing to her. Ibuki was far from exhausted.
And now that she arrived at what appeared to be civilization, where should she go? The apparent center of the village seemed like a good start.
"Yoohoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo?!" she shouted once she reached the Monument, apparently having no regard for people who may still be sleeping, "Hellooooooooooooooooooooo?! Is anybody here?!"
If nobody came out to answer, she'd have to start invading buildings...
[Edit: Now that she's been given the lowdown on the situation, ... you can still feel free to come across her being loud. Ibuki wants to meet new people!]
[Edit of nostalgic regret: This was before I had Ibuki use -chan and made up weird nicknames instead...]

[She puts a hand to her chin...]
Hmm... I think drums would fit you pretty well!
no subject
[Well...he did have a lot of rhythm training with boxing, so it didn't seem like it would be that far of a stretch.]
Would you be able to teach me?
no subject
But be warned, it will be a harsh training regime!
[Probably not nearly as harsh as Ippo's boxing training, though...]
no subject
[There was a faint, greenish glow in his eyes as he clenched his fist, looking deadly serious. If he was going to do this, he was going to throw himself into it 100 percent, there wasn't any reason to do it otherwise.]

To start, my kouhai, you-
...
... [Wait a second...]

[He said, putting a hand on his chin and thinking carefully about this.]
I suppose we could go borrow a pot and some wooden spoons from the kitchen in the meantime?
no subject
Those don't quite give off the right feel, though...
[she crosses her arms in thought-wait no, she's still carrying her guitar, that makes it hard to do without putting it down]
We can save that for later! There's no rush until we can do it properly!
no subject
[Maybe not the best series of words in that order, but at least he seemed enthusiastic?]
no subject
[Ibuki's just... playing along with it, because why not?...]
no subject
[He has noooooo idea the context other people could be taking this, but he means it all the same.]
no subject
So bold, Ippo!
1/2
Huh?
[Wait a second...he thought about his words and hers, thinking about them specifically in the order they'd been said. Then it hit him.]
no subject
[Have very furious blushing and handwaving from the embarrassed boxer. GJ Ippo, GJ.]
no subject
Come on, Ippo, let's get some tea!
[And sudden subject change...]
[Though, Ibuki didn't even know if they had tea here...]
no subject
[Just...let him lead the way here, maybe if he's in front he could hide all that embarrassment he's got going on right now. Maybe. Probably not.]
no subject
Hm... I just realized, I don't know much about what you do, Ippopo!
Except that you're a really nice person, a good chef, and accepted a position as my kouhai.
no subject
I...don't really do much other than exercise and help gather shards and cores here, but before coming to the Bastion I was a professional boxer.
no subject
I knew a gymnast that liked to fight a lot. She probably would've wanted to fight you!
[Well, it still hurt a little to think about the friends that she lost... but she wasn't going to let it drag her down anymore!]
Hm... maybe I could come up with a song about boxing...
no subject
[This gymnast person and Takamura would have gotten along swimmingly he was sure.]
That would be pretty fun I think!
[He could almost imagine the high energy and fast movement of the music already if it was going to be about boxing.]
no subject
Oh! The shards you were using. Where can Ibuki get those?
[She doesn't want to have to sponge off people forever...]
no subject
[He paused mid-sentence. Carefully thought about his words and then spoke. This was something more dangerous that just tossing info around, when the Skyway was concerned, caution needed to be right behind it.]
You get shards out on the Skyway, where you were before you got here. You can find them lying around, but it's not at all safe out there; if you go out, promise you'll come find me or someone else, you shouldn't ever be out there alone.
[Says the person who was out there for three weeks by himself, but that was neither here or there.]
Sound fair?
no subject
Yeah. Ibuki's not much of a fighter, so if you say it's bad out there, I'll make sure I'm with somebody who can handle it.
no subject
[His shoulders and stance seemed to relax almost immediately, as if his body itself had let out a sigh of relief. He wasn't about to lose any more friends to that damned place.]
no subject
[Ippo, why are you making yourself such an easy target that Ibuki can't resist?]
