Day 241 [OPEN] - Wakeup call
Who: Ibuki Mioda and whoever!
Open: Open forever
When: Day 241, very early in the morning
Where: Around the Monument.
What: Ibuki Mioda arrives at the Bastion... loudly.
Format: Log, but willing to switch to other formats!
Warnings: Scary ghost! 2 spooky!
It was just only becoming daylight at the Bastion when a new arrival would show: A young lady with wild hair. There was nothing particularly extraodinary about her, unless one was to notice the "horns" on her head; but that was only her hair styled to resemble such a feature.
She looked a bit confused and travel-worn; but a one hour walk was really nothing to her. Ibuki was far from exhausted.
And now that she arrived at what appeared to be civilization, where should she go? The apparent center of the village seemed like a good start.
"Yoohoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo?!" she shouted once she reached the Monument, apparently having no regard for people who may still be sleeping, "Hellooooooooooooooooooooo?! Is anybody here?!"
If nobody came out to answer, she'd have to start invading buildings...
[Edit: Now that she's been given the lowdown on the situation, ... you can still feel free to come across her being loud. Ibuki wants to meet new people!]
[Edit of nostalgic regret: This was before I had Ibuki use -chan and made up weird nicknames instead...]

...
[And as Ippo falls... he'll find himself being princess carried by Ibuki instead of meeting the ground violently]
And then, expected gender roles were reversed!
no subject
Thank you Ibuki-sempai, that could have been bad...but I found the tea!
[He said with a laugh, holding up the box with a smile. Your free to put him down at any time though. Just sayin.]
no subject
Good job, Ippo!
... Ibuki somehow gets the feeling you fall a lot.
no subject
[He said sheepishly as he was set down, setting the box on the table now that he could.]
Boxers weren't designed to be in the air for any great amount of time after all.
no subject
[Wait no, in the sort of world they're in now-]
That was a terrible idea, Ibuki won't speak of it ever again!
no subject
It's all in good fun, don't worry about it. Do you do any sports yourself? Or is it just strictly music for you?
no subject
I've done some sports now and then whenever I feel like it. Ibuki doesn't really stick with one very long, though!
[She's a very whimsical person when it comes to a lot of things outside of music.]
no subject
[It would definitely make it a less lonely experience, that was for sure.]
no subject
If Ibuki can get a bass guitarist, she'll bring them along for it, too!
no subject
[Hoo boy, that sure was some red all around his face and he did look moderately bashful about it. Way to go Ibuki.]
no subject
[She lets out a small laugh]
Ibuki wasn't even trying to embarrass you that time.
no subject
I can have fun too.
[He said with a knowing smile as he turned back to the pot and put in the leaves to let them steep. He felt good at the moment, it was a rare feeling and he decided to indulge it; who knew when he'd get to again after all.]
no subject
[Ibuki gives Ippo a critical look, though definitely not a disapproving one. She's trying to figure out if Ippo was playing her from the start or not...]
Ibuki will have to be careful around you, Ippo!
[Said in good humor, of course]
no subject
[He said with a laugh. Sure he could play a part, but when it came to lying...well, that he couldn't do for the life of him. He preferred to be as direct with people as he could, made things easier for everyone.]
If you count how many times you've got me already, there's not even a contest.
no subject
Do you think we should keep a running tally?
no subject
[The smell of tea began to fill the room...almost done, but not quite. Just needed a few more minutes was all.]
no subject
[Then why'd you even bring up keeping a tally to begin with, Ibuki?]
no subject
[His tone was light, not questioning, but definitely curious. Everyone had their own ways of occupying time here, it couldn't hurt to hear if Ibuki had any fresh ideas to put on the table.]
no subject
And having fun in general!
no subject
I think we could all do with more fun, honestly.
[Fun was...subjective here, almost limited to individuals, but that had begun to change with effort on everyone's part. It was a change for the better, if you asked him.]
no subject
[She accepts the cup, trying to decide how to finish the line she started]
Anyway, Ibuki's not one for just sitting around being bored, however that saying finishes!
no subject
[There was always someone that needed help, items to be gathered, things to be cleaned, shards to be rounded up, cores to be found. An honest living, really.]
Especially now...we're starting to run lower on power every day and if we don't act fast...well...let's just say we'll be roughing it out on the skyway until we figure out something else we can do.
[The worry was there in his voice, crisp and evident as if there were a neon sign lit above his head. He was hopeful they'd find something but...there was always that chance looming overhead.]
Not that I think that'll happen though, not at all! We've got too many people here to give up.
[He added quickly in addendum. He didn't want to worry Ibuki, but he definitely felt comfortable in talking to her...she struck him as a good listener and she'd already proven to be a good friend. He just hoped that didn't stress her out more than she probably was.}
no subject
[She takes a sip of her tea as she takes in what Ippo tells her... low power, that meant-]
Ibuki should probably wait before she plugs in her new guitar, huh?
[She glanced back at where she'd put it down... at the very least, it had actually been very recent since she'd put on a show, so she wasn't that desperate to get playing if she had to wait]
[Still, if things ended up so bad that she didn't get to play her music ever again...]
no subject
[If they played things smart, and so far they had been, then keeping things in check wouldn't be too difficult. Hopefully no one would go intentionally trying to make the Bastion fall out of the sky, but they definitely had to stay vigilant.]
We got some huge shards on our last outing which have things running stably, but until we get another core, it's just putting more coins in a meter, so to speak.
