Day 241 [OPEN] - Wakeup call
Who: Ibuki Mioda and whoever!
Open: Open forever
When: Day 241, very early in the morning
Where: Around the Monument.
What: Ibuki Mioda arrives at the Bastion... loudly.
Format: Log, but willing to switch to other formats!
Warnings: Scary ghost! 2 spooky!
It was just only becoming daylight at the Bastion when a new arrival would show: A young lady with wild hair. There was nothing particularly extraodinary about her, unless one was to notice the "horns" on her head; but that was only her hair styled to resemble such a feature.
She looked a bit confused and travel-worn; but a one hour walk was really nothing to her. Ibuki was far from exhausted.
And now that she arrived at what appeared to be civilization, where should she go? The apparent center of the village seemed like a good start.
"Yoohoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo?!" she shouted once she reached the Monument, apparently having no regard for people who may still be sleeping, "Hellooooooooooooooooooooo?! Is anybody here?!"
If nobody came out to answer, she'd have to start invading buildings...
[Edit: Now that she's been given the lowdown on the situation, ... you can still feel free to come across her being loud. Ibuki wants to meet new people!]
[Edit of nostalgic regret: This was before I had Ibuki use -chan and made up weird nicknames instead...]

Ibuki should probably pick up her guitar from the kitchen, first!

[He said with a start, moving back towards the kitchen and stretching his arms out. The air was definitely starting to get warmer, so much so that the jogging suit he was in was starting to feel uncomfortable. He wasn't working out anymore, so without thinking, he removed it and slung it over his shoulder.
Belying the look his saggy hoodie gave his body, beneath was a figure seemingly cut from stone. Muscles that bulged against his skin without him even having to flex, rippling against the white sleeveless shirt he was wearing, all but threatening to tear through the fabric. On his left shoulder, three long, jagged scars ran across it and down his chest, presumably to the left pectoral.
If Ibuki hadn't believed he looked like a boxer before, he definitely looked the part now...despite the cheerful, boyish smile on his face.]
It hasn't been this hot as of late...I think we're heading into the fall season now, probably in the middle of it considering it's usually pretty windy around. I hope so, I really enjoy the fall.
no subject
[That could be referring to Ippo's muscles or his scars...]
Hm... Ibuki doesn't mind most weather! There's always something different in each season that you can't do in the others!
no subject
[Partly because it impaired his training, partly because he never really did anything winterly in terms of activity...and mostly for a personal reason. A painful memory tucked away in the back of his head, one he didn't like thinking about.]
Fall though, it's always so festive. Maybe I can convince people to set up a festival...
[He said thoughtfully, tapping a finger to his chin.]
no subject
[Of course, Ibuki has an easy idea for what she could do for the festival-]
Ibuki could always put on a performance! Maybe you and who Ibuki finds for bass could be ready by then!
no subject
[He said, already liking the idea of it. They had enough people around who knew how to cook, it wasn't like festival food was that hard to make anyways. Cheap, greasy, and delicious; a rare treat that time only made even more of a treat.]
I'll ask around, see who's interested. After all this energy nonsense, I think we could do with something fun.
no subject
Ibuki will scout out the bass player.
[Sure, Ippo had a lot of promise as the drummer, but that didn't mean he knew what sort of people would be suited for bass]
[Also, this was one of the few things that Ibuki felt she had to take charge of]
no subject
[He smiled and scratched the back of his head sheepishly, as he'd done a lot since meeting Ibuki. She had that effect on him it seemed. As well as making him fall head over heels.]
no subject
AH!
Of course! The more people at the festival, the better!
I wonder if we'll have festival games, too!
... Ibuki suddenly has a craving for dango.
no subject
[That, ladies and gentleman, is the subtle power of festival foods. They're quick to eat, fill you up only enough to make you want more, and set a tiny place in the back of your mind along with all the other good memories festivals bring. There it waits, until that time of year again or until someone brings it up, then the cravings are back and with terrible force.
A good marketing strategy if he'd ever thought about one.]
We'll definitely have to have a stand for that!
no subject
[Well, they've arrived at the kitchen now, so she's picking up her guitar and amp.]
no subject
Then I'll talk to Rin, I'm sure she'll know how to make a few. Sorry about that little detour though, let's get a move on shall we?
no subject
[At least Ibuki wasn't pressing on the subject of dango anymore as they went outside]
Do they have high tech massage chairs?
[... no, she doesn't actually need or want one. It just randomly popped into her head]
no subject
[Both were good options, he thought. If tenseness was an issue, either or would fix that in a jiffy.]
no subject
It feels like forever since Ibuki has been to an onsen! Ibuki has to visit it later!
no subject
[He said with a nod as they strode up to a large building, looking oddly like an apartment one might see normally on the side of a city road. Inside the halls had those same, thin hallways and that same, inexplicable musty smell that somehow managed to be nostalgic and comforting.]
Well...this is home, at least for some of us. Others have made their own homes, but I like it here, it's got its own kind of comfort to it.
no subject
Hm... which rooms can Ibuki pick from?
no subject
[It wasn't too off to imagine that in these times, the last thing people were worrying about were vacancies in the apartment building. If they had a waiting list, Ippo'd never heard about it, or got any complaints about his choice in a room.]
no subject
So!
To the top floor!
[And with that, she starts rushing up the stairs]
no subject
It does have a pretty good view up here, my room is this one right here.
[He said, rapping a knuckle against the first door.]
no subject
[... there was an obvious a lack of logic in that line of thought, but that's Ibuki for you]
no subject
This is what the rooms look like, mostly, though you can put whatever you want in them. They're good for sleeping, not much else, but then again that's what you use a room for, right?
no subject
Is that a championship belt?! That's pretty impressive, Ippo!
[And that was actual praise, even if she decided to follow that up with-]
Ibuki has yet to win any belts herself!
no subject
[He asked curiously as he walked into his room proper, putting a hand on the case and smiling fondly. Then something caught his attention out of the corner of his eye, a flickering coming from his window. He walked towards it and looked out, his gaze catching the Hospital as one of its own windows flashed as if someone were rapidly turning the light to that room on and off. The longer he stared, the more he could swear he saw shapes and figures moving around...but then it stopped, causing him to quirk an eyebrow.]
Hey...I think something's up at the Hospital. Did we forget to turn the lights off?
no subject
[She follows over to the window, looking towards the hospital as well]
Ibuki was too busy racing you to worry about turning off lights!
...
Does the Bastion have ghosts?
[SHE'S SEEN A DRAGON so that's not really said in jest]
