Day 241 [OPEN] - Wakeup call
Who: Ibuki Mioda and whoever!
Open: Open forever
When: Day 241, very early in the morning
Where: Around the Monument.
What: Ibuki Mioda arrives at the Bastion... loudly.
Format: Log, but willing to switch to other formats!
Warnings: Scary ghost! 2 spooky!
It was just only becoming daylight at the Bastion when a new arrival would show: A young lady with wild hair. There was nothing particularly extraodinary about her, unless one was to notice the "horns" on her head; but that was only her hair styled to resemble such a feature.
She looked a bit confused and travel-worn; but a one hour walk was really nothing to her. Ibuki was far from exhausted.
And now that she arrived at what appeared to be civilization, where should she go? The apparent center of the village seemed like a good start.
"Yoohoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo?!" she shouted once she reached the Monument, apparently having no regard for people who may still be sleeping, "Hellooooooooooooooooooooo?! Is anybody here?!"
If nobody came out to answer, she'd have to start invading buildings...
[Edit: Now that she's been given the lowdown on the situation, ... you can still feel free to come across her being loud. Ibuki wants to meet new people!]
[Edit of nostalgic regret: This was before I had Ibuki use -chan and made up weird nicknames instead...]

Once he got back to it though, the door seemed to give some heavy resistance when he pulled on it, though his strength allowed him to wrench it open. Strange, considering how easily it had opened before, he might have thought someone was on the other side holding it closed if he hadn't peered inside and saw no one in sight. As he stepped in, he felt as if he'd stepped into a current of static electricity, causing his hair to stand up on end; where the air had been calm and sterile before, it was now charged, full of tension, almost alive and squirming as he looked around.
As he breathed, his breath came out in visible mists despite not feeling any drop in temperature, causing him to quirk a brow as he stepped further inside as he called out.]
Hello? Is anyone around?

This feels like a situation straight out of a horror flick.

I think we should move. There's a back door, we need to get to it.
1/2
Ibuki had that feeling! She should've listened to it!
no subject
[... well, when Ippo starts moving, she'll follow, because he knows the hospital layout and she's not going to run off without him BECAUSE THAT IS A DEFINITE DEATH FLAG]

[His voice was cool, confident with just a hint of authority. His stomach on the other hand was doing somersaults.
What was happening? Why was it happening? Two among a thousand questions flying through his brain at impossibly fast speeds as he kept close to Ibuki and moved through the hallways. All around them, noises began; innocuous at first, a scratching here, a clicking there...then the rattling began. As if every gurney in the building had decided at once to begin dancing, the hallways filled with the sound of clattering metal and horrid, low whispers too obscured by the noise to hear.
Reaching a point in the hospital where windows lined the the hall, Ippo thought to just punch one out and replace it later, but no sooner did he throw open the curtains did his heart drop like a dead weight into his stomach.
It was a brick wall. Each one placed neatly above and beside each other, obstructing their exit to the outside like some cartoon prank. Ippo drew in a breath and took a step back, for once in his life letting a curse slip between his lips as he looked at his friend.]
Keep going, stopping anymore is a bad idea.
no subject
That's fine with Ibuki, BUT SHE'S FOLLOWING YOU SINCE YOU KNOW THE HOSPITAL BETTER!!
[So, yeah, just... plz find a way out, Ippo...]

[Ippo gave a nod and began moving again. The back door shouldn't have been too far away from them, if they were near the windowed area. True to words, they rounded a corner and there in all it's brilliant glory stood the door, held ajar and letting wondrous rays of golden light in.
Then the screaming started.
It began like a low rumble, shaking the building itself to its core and built up to a high pitched screech, causing Ippo to clasp his hands tightly against his ears. The walls around the room began to twist, writhe, and contort as if they had become wriggling walls of flesh; a comparison that became more apt as letters began to be carved into them, an invisible knife carving them and drawing fresh blood as a single word was written.
Mine
The word began to be repeatedly carved around the walls, each gouge drawing more blood as the electric lights began to dim strangely. Ippo looked up to see the florescent lights begin to bubble from the inside, as if someone had filled them with liquid and with horrid pops, they burst, filling the air with a thick, metallic smell. It was too dark to confirm, but he was sure it was blood as well.
Then everything stopped. The screaming, the carvings in the walls, the rattling metal, everything abruptly snapped back to reality as if nothing had happened. The lights and walls were fine, the sound of rustling wind came from outside the door...and a presence could be strongly felt down the hall they'd come.
Ippo unclasped his ears slowly and looked down the hallway, sweat beading down his face.
A clear, tangible, floating mass of black shadow stood...or hovered at the end of the hallway and Ippo couldn't help but feel as if it were watching him with violent intent. He crossed his arm across Ibuki, putting himself between her and whatever in the seven hells this thing was, his eyes flashing dangerously. He knew whatever this was could do all that again, Ibuki needed to get out right now.]
Go for the door Ibuki, now!
[He yelled, his voice brooking no argument. She could make it there in less than 3 seconds, she could do it while he kept the thing distracted.]

As Ibuki crossed the threshold outside, the doors slammed shut behind her, locking her firmly out despite any attempts at getting it open. Whatever that thing was...Ippo was stuck with it.]
no subject
[No Ippo was supposed to be behind her!]
Ippo?!
[She'll try to jerk the doors open]
IPPO!!!
[... was this place going to end up even worse than that island...?!]

He tried to grasp where should have been an arm, to squeeze and use his might to wrench it from his neck, but his arms met air and the life continued to be squeezed from him as he flailed helplessly. The...thing, seemed to draw him closer; studying him intently from what he could feel; the longer it studied him, the more emotions began to swirl in his head.
Anger, pain, fear, sadness, hate. All of them flying around his mind, vanishing as if suddenly snuffed from existence, and then reigniting instantaneously. It was maddening to say the least.]
"This...is...Mine"
[A voice rasped, long and low in his head, like the sound of dry fingernails raking across a chalkboard. And then, with a single movement, Ippo flew.
Of the double doors leading in to the back of the hospital, Ibuki would see the one she wasn't in front of crash open as Ippo's body bashed it open and was sent sailing off onto the grass 5 feet away, landing with a dull thud and a horrible wheeze, followed by desperate gasps of air. Just as unceremoniously as the door had been opened, it slammed shut with enough force to rattle the hinges, leaving Ippo to cough and wheeze as he tried to get the breath the thing had stolen back into his lungs.]
no subject
[Well, of course Ibuki was going to run over to him]
H-hey! Ippo!
Y... you... are you okay?!
no subject
Long, slender bruises made by fingers far too long to be human wrapped easily around the circumference of his neck; the bruises themselves were deep and held a horrid myriad of colors, as if someone had pinched his neck between multiple vices of fiendish design.
Eventually though, he did get words out, sputtering at first, but quickly it became clear what he was trying to say.]
I'm...so...sorry I...*cough*...got you...into that mess...
[He rasped hoarsely, having trouble between his injured throat and lack of breath completing full sentences. Ibuki was safe though...shaken, but safe. That's what mattered.]
no subject
[She was about to ask again if he's okay but yeah, he didn't look okay]
Ibuki can't just bring you back into the hospital...
no subject
But he was alive, and he shook his head as much as he could with the pain in his neck.]
We need...to find Colin...he'll know what to do...
[He said, his throat still hurting too much not to break up his words, but he forced his legs forward. Hopefully nothing was in the Onsen too, because gods above only knew he would need a nice, long soak before this was all said and done.]
no subject
[Okay yeah, no, she's going to pick you up princess style again]
Just tell Ibuki where to go.
no subject
COLIN!
[Though it was cut off shortly after the N, replaced by sputtering coughs once more. Neck injuries sucked.]
no subject
no subject
What in the name of bad code happened to YOU Ippo?!
[Colin moves to support him with Ibuki, running a quick scan to check his injuries.]
no subject
Almost.]
Something...in the hospital.
[He wheezed painfully, his mind focused on getting the message across. Whatever was in there was dangerous, to everyone. It might not have killed him, but it had made that danger very present.]
We need...to tell everyone...
no subject
... Does this kind of thing happen a lot around here?
[Wherever Colin directs Ibuki to bring Ippo, she'll go along with]
no subject
[He sounds particularly offended by that, looking in the direction of the hospital before he grabs Ippo up in his arms effortlessly. He may be only 5'6", but he's handling Ippo like he were no heavier than a toy. He nods his head into the shop, indicating Ibuki should follow as he carries Ippo in.]
What makes you say it's a ghost, miss....?
[Sorry, Ibuki, he didn't catch your name.]
1/2 breaking posting order since it makes sense to-
...
2/2
[Ibuki, did you really have to shout...]
