Day 241 [OPEN] - Wakeup call
Who: Ibuki Mioda and whoever!
Open: Open forever
When: Day 241, very early in the morning
Where: Around the Monument.
What: Ibuki Mioda arrives at the Bastion... loudly.
Format: Log, but willing to switch to other formats!
Warnings: Scary ghost! 2 spooky!
It was just only becoming daylight at the Bastion when a new arrival would show: A young lady with wild hair. There was nothing particularly extraodinary about her, unless one was to notice the "horns" on her head; but that was only her hair styled to resemble such a feature.
She looked a bit confused and travel-worn; but a one hour walk was really nothing to her. Ibuki was far from exhausted.
And now that she arrived at what appeared to be civilization, where should she go? The apparent center of the village seemed like a good start.
"Yoohoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo?!" she shouted once she reached the Monument, apparently having no regard for people who may still be sleeping, "Hellooooooooooooooooooooo?! Is anybody here?!"
If nobody came out to answer, she'd have to start invading buildings...
[Edit: Now that she's been given the lowdown on the situation, ... you can still feel free to come across her being loud. Ibuki wants to meet new people!]
[Edit of nostalgic regret: This was before I had Ibuki use -chan and made up weird nicknames instead...]

[Well, of course Ibuki was going to run over to him]
H-hey! Ippo!
Y... you... are you okay?!
no subject
Long, slender bruises made by fingers far too long to be human wrapped easily around the circumference of his neck; the bruises themselves were deep and held a horrid myriad of colors, as if someone had pinched his neck between multiple vices of fiendish design.
Eventually though, he did get words out, sputtering at first, but quickly it became clear what he was trying to say.]
I'm...so...sorry I...*cough*...got you...into that mess...
[He rasped hoarsely, having trouble between his injured throat and lack of breath completing full sentences. Ibuki was safe though...shaken, but safe. That's what mattered.]
no subject
[She was about to ask again if he's okay but yeah, he didn't look okay]
Ibuki can't just bring you back into the hospital...
no subject
But he was alive, and he shook his head as much as he could with the pain in his neck.]
We need...to find Colin...he'll know what to do...
[He said, his throat still hurting too much not to break up his words, but he forced his legs forward. Hopefully nothing was in the Onsen too, because gods above only knew he would need a nice, long soak before this was all said and done.]
no subject
[Okay yeah, no, she's going to pick you up princess style again]
Just tell Ibuki where to go.
no subject
COLIN!
[Though it was cut off shortly after the N, replaced by sputtering coughs once more. Neck injuries sucked.]

What in the name of bad code happened to YOU Ippo?!
[Colin moves to support him with Ibuki, running a quick scan to check his injuries.]
no subject
Almost.]
Something...in the hospital.
[He wheezed painfully, his mind focused on getting the message across. Whatever was in there was dangerous, to everyone. It might not have killed him, but it had made that danger very present.]
We need...to tell everyone...
no subject
... Does this kind of thing happen a lot around here?
[Wherever Colin directs Ibuki to bring Ippo, she'll go along with]
no subject
[He sounds particularly offended by that, looking in the direction of the hospital before he grabs Ippo up in his arms effortlessly. He may be only 5'6", but he's handling Ippo like he were no heavier than a toy. He nods his head into the shop, indicating Ibuki should follow as he carries Ippo in.]
What makes you say it's a ghost, miss....?
[Sorry, Ibuki, he didn't catch your name.]
1/2 breaking posting order since it makes sense to-
...
2/2
[Ibuki, did you really have to shout...]

no subject
Anything to add to that, boy hostage?
[Sorry, Ippo, but you remind him of Robin, banged up as you are right now.]
If it's genuine, I'm going to get Yukio, Rin, and Duke. But if it's something alive, we're likely going to need more than exorcists to deal with this...

[He grimaced a smile up at Colin, something about his friend seeming to give him a measure of peace. Maybe it was the way he simply took charge of situations, that unwavering confidence; not that it could fix the state he was in, but he felt a little less like hell.]
Whatever it was...it was strong...I couldn't touch it...but it picked me up and choked me like...I was some kind of doll. It smelt...it felt like death.
[It was a feeling he'd gotten right down to his core when the thing had picked him up and was studying him. Not that he was going to die, but that it, whatever "it" was, was made of death in its purest, most violent form. It wasn't an experience he'd be forgetting anytime soon.]

Ibuki thinks it was... claiming the place. It wrote a message that just said 'mine'.

[Colin lays Ippo down on a couch in a corner of the workshop. It's old and beaten up, but it's still pretty soft. Clearly, Colin's dragged this here from somewhere out on the skyway.]
Well, the little punk can claim whatever he want, but since he's not playing nice, we'll have to take its toys away. Ibuki, there's a sink over there, can you grab a cup of water for Ippo? I'm going to get him some painkillers... Then I'm going to go and get Yukio. See if I can't find Rin or Duke, too...
no subject
[As she talks, she'll get a cup of water for Ippo and bring it to him.]
Does Ibuki need to water you?
[by water, she means help him drink...]
no subject
[He let out a small sigh and took hold of the glass, his hand shaking but holding it firmly. The liquid felt amazing as the cold sensation slipped down his aching throat. Hopefully those painkillers would help get him better set to actually do something other than lie down and groan.]
no subject
[He gives Ippo a stern look as he fishes out a jar from a shelf. He's procured Rosethorn's painkillers since she disappeared, and he intends to take good care of them.]
Now, Ippo? You took a beating. If you get up before you're supposed to, I will handcuff you to a bed. And tell Anya to watch you.
I hope you appreciate what that will involve.
[He brings back the painkillers and nods to Ippo, giving him a dose of them.]
no subject
[Ibuki had apparently met Anya earlier...]
no subject
[He grunted, taking the pills and using what was left of the water to down them. The effects weren't immediate, but he could feel a slow rolling of relief begin to spread out from his stomach; to say the least, he was relieved.]
If someone...can help me to my room...that'd be great. I think...I'll tag out for now...
[He wanted to help, he really did, but he was a mess. What good would a shaky, unbalanced kid be against something like that? Not much he figured, best to rest up and let those who could do something do it without being hampered. He wasn't even going to respond to Ibuki's comment, but a tinge of red could be seen on his face at the mention of contraceptives.]
no subject
[Colin looks at Ippo in concern, and looks to Ibuki.]
Personally, I think he should rest here for a little while. He looks like he got in a fight with a hangman's noose.
But if he can walk back to his place, could you give him an escort? I need to go see a man about a ghost.

[Ippo struck her as the type to overextend himself by now, so she was more inclined to trust Colin's opinion on the matter]
