Day 241 [OPEN] - Wakeup call

Open: Open forever
When: Day 241, very early in the morning
Where: Around the Monument.
What: Ibuki Mioda arrives at the Bastion... loudly.
Format: Log, but willing to switch to other formats!
Warnings: Scary ghost! 2 spooky!

It was just only becoming daylight at the Bastion when a new arrival would show: A young lady with wild hair. There was nothing particularly extraodinary about her, unless one was to notice the "horns" on her head; but that was only her hair styled to resemble such a feature.

She looked a bit confused and travel-worn; but a one hour walk was really nothing to her. Ibuki was far from exhausted.

And now that she arrived at what appeared to be civilization, where should she go? The apparent center of the village seemed like a good start.

"Yoohoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo?!" she shouted once she reached the Monument, apparently having no regard for people who may still be sleeping, "Hellooooooooooooooooooooo?! Is anybody here?!"

If nobody came out to answer, she'd have to start invading buildings...

[Edit: Now that she's been given the lowdown on the situation, ... you can still feel free to come across her being loud. Ibuki wants to meet new people!]

[Edit of nostalgic regret: This was before I had Ibuki use -chan and made up weird nicknames instead...]

Absolutely. If it did, we'd have fallen out of the sky already.

[Considering how Colin tended to be in his workshop at all hours doing whatever it was he did in there, it was a fair statement.]

[And with that, Ibuki quickly plugs in her guitar to her amplifier, plugs the amplifier into a wall socket, cranks up the volume on the amp...]

[And then proceeds to assault ears with a ten second death metal guitar riff]

[Was Ippo ready for that? No, not even a little bit. The sound might have been too good because it practically blew him back off his chair; or at least that's how it looked. In reality he had just jumped back so hard that he'd fallen over backwards and cracked his head on the counter before hitting the floor. Good job Ippo. He was just gonna lie there on the floor. Not really moving. Or doing much of anything.]

[... wait, Ippo's not moving... she'll turn off her guitar, put it down, and lean over him]

... Ippopo?

[Eyup...that was one Ippopo that absolutely was not moving at all. Just kinda...lying there. He was breathing, but he was definitely not awake at the moment; one heck of a performance you just give there Ibuki.]

[She'll start shaking him]

Ippo!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't GO INTO THE LIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!

[A little overdramatic, but hey, that's Ibuki...]

[The shaking was enough to get Ippo up and out of his stupor, his eyes wild as he looked around, his hands tensing for just a second before he realized where he was and who he was with.]

Oh...Ibuki? What happened...

[He seemed dazed, but no worse for the wear.]

And why does the back of my head feel so sticky...

[Okay, scratch that.]

Ibuki didn't mean to defeat you that horribly!

[If Mikan was here, she could get a better idea of just how bad the injury is but... it was just blood and matted hair as far as the musician was concerned, she couldn't tell!]

[Well...if she were to push some of that messy hair out of the way, and she probably did, there was a nice gash on the back of his head...could probably fit a pinkie in there up to the nail. Not that Ippo looked concerned as he got to his feet, even if his stance was shaky.]

Guess I wasn't ready for that blow.

[He said with a laugh, reaching back to touch the wound and his smile turning to a small grimace.]

I guess this is as good a time as any to show you the hospital, huh?

[scary_music]

Just tell Ibuki which way to go!

BUT WHATEVER YOU DO-

DON'T LOOK INTO THE ABYSS!!!!!!

[And with that... she picks up Ippo in the princess carry position again and runs out of the building]

[He doesn't want the abyss to stare back at him, but he's more worried about the fact that he'd just been picked up off his feet and was now being dashed across the Bastion as if he were as light as a feather. Wow Ibuki, wow.]

Woah! I...Ibuki! I mean...it's over there, not too far away.

[He said, pointing towards the large building to the left, not that he was worried about that.]

I...can walk though, I'm not dying I promise.

IBUKI IS NOT TAKING ANY CHANCES!!!!!

[And into the hospital they go]

[The hospital itself was...as you might expect, outfitted exactly like a hospital. The air smelled sterile, everything looked sanitary, and it was abandoned at the moment, giving a certain stillness to the building. By the time Ibuki managed to get Ippo into a room and set up on a table, she'd get to notice one of the hospitals more unique aspects. The wound on his head was already two inches smaller than before, as if it hadn't been quite so bad...and it was getting even smaller each second that passed.]

See? The hospital...it's special somehow, it makes the healing process go by a lot faster than normal...give me another 10 minutes and I should be right as rain!

I appreciate it!

[He definitely sounded it at the very least. It was always nice to know someone had his back; gods only knew he needed someone to every now and again whenever he got one of his reckless ideas going.]

I just hope it doesn't become a regular thing is all...best to keep as much of myself together as I can.

Between the fall from the shelves and that one just a minute ago, it looks like it will happen a lot!

[Granted, Ippo will probably be more prepared when Ibuki gets her guitar ready next time...]

Then I'd best get used to being in the air around you more.

[It was said in jest, but he couldn't deny that Ibuki had a strange way of keeping him on his feet. Good thing his skull was thick enough to handle the worst of it.]

Hm... Ippopo could always learn how to fly!

Or if you started wearing a large, padded suit... and then you'd look like a giant marshmellow!

[That got a chuckle out of him, the thought of himself in a marshmallow costume was a little too funny not to.]

I'd run the risk of getting eaten if I looked like a Marshmellow. Enough people have bad enough sweet tooths that they might take a shot at it.

We wouldn't want to accidentally trick people into acts of cannibalism!

Then, we'll put a sign on you that says, "No eating, this is Ippo!"

Funny as that would be, I think the safest option is to just be more careful.

[And trust him, walking around in a giant marshmallow suit would be funny.]

Imagine trying to walk out on the Skyway with one of those...that'd be a nightmare.
