[Day 229] Well some one has to stay behind [Open]
Who: Everyone who didn't go on the trip
Open: Open
When: Day 229
Where: The Bastion
What: Not everyone is going to go search for the Core. Some people have to stay behind and tend to the daily things in the Bastion, after all.
Format: Any
Warnings: n/a
[Regardless of the Bastion's current state, there are still things that need to be done from day to day. Some one has to attend to those things, and not everyone can just up and leave. Some people might not even want to leave, and there are even a select few that just can't.
So for those of you staying behind, make sure you're not strangers to your fellow survivors!]

Kitchen - Onsen - Near the monument
[Naturally not everyone is going to go on the trip, and while Rin was one of the "heavy hitters" of the Bastion she knew she wasn't the only one anymore. That meant that she doesn't always have to go on the big missions, especially when she's still somewhat in recovery mode from the plague scare. She's better, and has been for a while, but her energy level still leaves her wanting on busier days.
So she's keeping herself occupied, watching over Yukio's Oshawott along with her own Tepig while tending to the kitchen as per usual, making plenty of food for the residents and for the groups when they return.
She's not worried.
Not at all.
That's why she keeps staring out the window and completely ignoring that Kintaro and Oshawott have gotten in to no less than three bins of various powdered goods in the pantry.]
b. Onsen
[Welp. Two young Pokemon sure do know how to make messes.
Once the kitchen is cleaned, it's off to the onsen with the three of them to wash up for the evening.
Should anyone poke in they'll find a very happy Oshawott swimming about the hot water, a somewhat tired Rin soaking peacefully, and a Tepig looking dubious on the rocks.]
c. Near the Monument
[Later, with wet hair twisted up in a messy bun, Rin sat cross-legged at near the monument. Kintaro was asleep in her lap while Oshawott was busy chasing a bug or something.
She stared at the device that had been their power source for so long, the thing that was failing because they had grown complacent in their life on that rock in the sky. Because "other things" kept getting in the way of hunting for Cores.
A sigh left her noisily, hand scritching at the space between Kintaro's pointed ears.]
I hope they come home soon...
Onsen
no subject
Rin sees Tama-chan easily, but Tepig, of course, is too young to be versed in the idea of listening to one's surroundings. He's currently pawing at the water with a single hoof wearily, completely unaware.
And Rin isn't going to say a thing.
Neither is Oshawott.]

Pokemon Daycare
With the teams gone out to the Skyway and Hilda among them, N had even more work to do at the Daycare without her there, so no one was going to see him wandering about the Bastion.
Should anyone decide to bother him then, chances were better when looking in the yard of the Daycare. Even when he wasn't working he was spending time outside with all of the Pokemon, talking and playing with them and distracting himself from any concerns about Hilda being gone.]

[She flops down on N's feet, pawing at him gently.]
Babies make me sleepy! Is it quiet time, Papa N?

N offers her a gentle pet behind her ears.]
Everyone is going down for a nap. You've worked hard today, go ahead and rest.

Kaoru follows at a slightly slower pace, carefully shutting the gate behind him to prevent any potential escapes, and offering N a smile as he turned and started closer]
…I'm glad everyone seems safe and well. After what happened...

N gives a wave from where he's sitting beneath the shade of one of the berry trees, Woobat on his shoulder.]
Paar was very helpful in getting the young ones out. They were shaken but otherwise unharmed.

Hopefully before nightfall. They didn't plan on being gone any longer than a day.

dragonfields
That's her excuse for laying in the Dragonfields now, staring up at the sky with a pout on her face. Ordinarily she'd be more than okay with just laying down in her own bed and passing out, but today seemed like a different kind of day.
No, instead of passing out in her own bed, she was gonna go pass out in the Dragonfields.
In fact, she might be getting sleepy right about now.
Do come bother her. ]

[Were you expecting a person, Takane?
Because you're not getting a person. You're getting a slightly concerned Pokemon who has followed you from the apartment hovering over your face.]

Anywhere. Everywhere.
And, given that he is with time and nervous energy to burn, it also makes him a good deal more productive.
This may not be the best business model and heck, you may not need extra clothes but Kaoru needs to clean out his workroom a little. If you've been in the Bastion for a while he probably has something he's made specifically to your size and style but if you haven't…
...T-shirt?]
/SLAMS IN TO THIS SUPER LATE
[Haruka does not understand why he's being given a T-shirt.]

[if that sounds like desperation in his voice, it kind of is.]
I didn't need to make so many - or really any at all - but I did, and now I need people to take them off my hands.
And if it isn't your style I can probably rework it into something that is, but I would still consider it a personal favour if you were to help me out a little bit.

pretty much anywhere, really
In between staying with Kohaku as well as taking care of their apartment, he's taking it upon himself to wander around the Bastion, looking for those that stayed behind to check on them. Make sure they were still surviving, more or less.
So don't mind him if he approaches you or flags you down, panting a bit before he speaks up. ]
Hey... I wanted to ask, how're you holding up? Is there anything you need right now...
tsuns at
Still, she couldn't bring herself to be totally mean to him, so she just shoved her hands in her pockets and looked away. ]
Nothing.
[ It was a grumble, and it was very clear that Takane wasn't all right. She was never completely all right. Well, okay, never was a strong word, she had some moments where she was happier than others, but ... between still reeling with the idea that her entire world is gone and still suffering from whatever narcoleptic disease she had, and still pining after her roommate and unable to actually form the words needed to tell him how she really felt about him, her life wasn't exactly sunshine and rainbows.
And neither was anyone else's in this place. She knew that. ]

By the entrance to the Skyway
[Instead, as of late, he's taken up guard near the Skyway with his large form drawn up and positively still. So still that, with the earthy color of his scales, he could perhaps be mistaken for a statue of some sort. It's the slight flicker of his eyes and the sound of deep slow breaths which show that he's very much alive.]
[You're more than free to bother him, of course- anyone who's been in the Bastion long enough knows that he's always open to discussion.]
Outside the distillery
[Yes, that call is being directed at you.]
[Zulf has a table set up outside of the distillery, along with a lot of papers and ink.]
I need some help with something... Do you have a moment to spare?

she does stop when he calls out to her though and she eyes him wearily, weighing her options; be a rude asshole and ignore him or be a rude asshole and help him out.
