[Day 229] Well some one has to stay behind [Open]
Who: Everyone who didn't go on the trip
Open: Open
When: Day 229
Where: The Bastion
What: Not everyone is going to go search for the Core. Some people have to stay behind and tend to the daily things in the Bastion, after all.
Format: Any
Warnings: n/a
[Regardless of the Bastion's current state, there are still things that need to be done from day to day. Some one has to attend to those things, and not everyone can just up and leave. Some people might not even want to leave, and there are even a select few that just can't.
So for those of you staying behind, make sure you're not strangers to your fellow survivors!]

Pokemon Daycare
With the teams gone out to the Skyway and Hilda among them, N had even more work to do at the Daycare without her there, so no one was going to see him wandering about the Bastion.
Should anyone decide to bother him then, chances were better when looking in the yard of the Daycare. Even when he wasn't working he was spending time outside with all of the Pokemon, talking and playing with them and distracting himself from any concerns about Hilda being gone.]

[She flops down on N's feet, pawing at him gently.]
Babies make me sleepy! Is it quiet time, Papa N?
no subject
N offers her a gentle pet behind her ears.]
Everyone is going down for a nap. You've worked hard today, go ahead and rest.
no subject
Okay. Are you going to nap too? You worked hard, too!
no subject
I want to, but I'm worried about keeping an eye on them, too...
no subject
[Nope, not letting this one go.]
no subject
[Which is something that he's simply come to accept about himself.]

Kaoru follows at a slightly slower pace, carefully shutting the gate behind him to prevent any potential escapes, and offering N a smile as he turned and started closer]
…I'm glad everyone seems safe and well. After what happened...

N gives a wave from where he's sitting beneath the shade of one of the berry trees, Woobat on his shoulder.]
Paar was very helpful in getting the young ones out. They were shaken but otherwise unharmed.
no subject
That's good. I know Tama-chan worried about you guys, too.
no subject
And Kaoru is likely going to get tackled. Hello friend!]
It was startling, that's for sure. I'm glad I was mostly awake at the time it happened.
no subject
Did Miss Hilda go with the others? I didn't get a chance to see them go…
[Tama chan rubs her chin against N's leg. Pets? Oh yes-yes please pets!]
no subject
She did. It was a fairly large group that went, and she has her team with her.
[And he was worried about her, of course, but there was little he could do about that. He knew keeping her in the Bastion indefinitely was only going to upset her.]

When's Mama gonna be back, Papa?
no subject
Hopefully before nightfall. They didn't plan on being gone any longer than a day.
no subject
Why couldn't I go with Mama and the others?
[ Because you're still very young, Zorua. ]

It's at that moment that N arrives on the scene, letting out a chuckle at Zoura's predicament.]
I think you lost this battle, Zoura.
[Daddyyyyyy!]
