What: Not everyone is going to go search for the Core. Some people have to stay behind and tend to the daily things in the Bastion, after all.

[Regardless of the Bastion's current state, there are still things that need to be done from day to day. Some one has to attend to those things, and not everyone can just up and leave. Some people might not even want to leave, and there are even a select few that just can't.

So for those of you staying behind, make sure you're not strangers to your fellow survivors!]

Ah--... they met at the river, apparently. Zoroark does like to wander around the Bastion on his own.

[glancing at Tama-chan, looking a little stung]

…was this back when you were sneaking Seimei fish behind my back? [for N's benefit, even though there is no way he hasn't heard -] She was sneaking Seimei fish behind my back.

[To which N looked at Zoroark who gave a nod of confirmation.]

[Tama-chan carefully edges through the mob and leans her head against Kaoru's leg, blinking up at him. She's sorry. Tama-chan's sorry.]

[fake-reluctantly patting her] …I hope she didn't try to rope you in as an accomplice with that face of hers.

[N raised an eyebrow at Zorork, but the fox clearly shook his head in response.]

No. Why was she sneaking fish to some one anyway?

One of Seimei's main weaknesses is his stomach. Something he shares in common with this one here…

I reckon she knew that and was trying to buy favours out of him. Or at least have him defend her when I found out she was fishing.

[Another look to Zoroark.]

I'm surprised you weren't in on that.

[Why would I ask for favors from some one I don't even know?]

I suppose that's a good point. Still, just because you let her get away with that doesn't mean you should do the same with the young ones.

[having got her forgiveness pats, Tama-chan starts nudging at the little ones gently - Hi babies! - while Kaoru shakes his head]

[Hi new friend! You are not Pokemon but you are welcome here!]

I would say that I'm not. But I'm also a very picky eater.

[individuates]

[Friends, yes! Goodness but you are tiny, aren't you?]

So is Seimei. But that means he caves all the more quickly when presented with something he likes.

Tama-chan is too smart for her own good.

[They're babies! Well, relatively. Most of them have been hatched at least with in the past 30 days, but yes. Babies.]

You shouldn't underestimate intelligence just because you can't verbally understand something.

[individuates]

I know. I mean, I learned that from Seimei. But I don't have the skills he has, and she still surprises me a lot.

I suppose it would be different with creatures that aren't Pokemon. Pokemon are capable of forming a relationship with their trainers that rarely needs the use of verbal communication.

[individuates]

She's good at picking up off me. I wish I could understand her better. [watching her rolling around contentedly beneath a small dogpile of pokemon]

Unfortunately I can't help you there. My ability to hear Pokemon was something I was born with, and doesn't translate well with the other creatures in this place.

Well, there's something to be said for doing things the old fashioned way, I guess. But it's me learning to follow her, rather than the other way around.

…it helps that she's quite expressive.

[case in point - she's belly-up on the floor again, legs waving around idly as several of the babies play on her]

Pretty sure she's having fun.

[N lets out a rare laugh at that, crouching down to add to the playing and pets.]

They enjoy her company.

[shakes his head slightly, reaching out to tug her tail before stroking some of the shyer pokemon lightly]

And she theirs, I'm pretty sure.

If you're looking to let her have some playmates I wouldn't mind her visiting the daycare...

[Kaoru chuckles lightly as that tail starts thumping on the ground a little bit as she twists a little to look at N. She would love that! Oh yes, please!]

[Awww. She's so cute. Even N is smiling. Congrats, Kaoru. You got on his good side super easy.]

I'm sure they'll enjoy it as well.

[There is an excited round of cries from the various Pokemon. Yes, yes they will!]

Hear that, Tama-chan? You're a 'nee-chan now!

[That gets a curious look from N. It's not a phrase he's familiar with.]
