[Regardless of the Bastion's current state, there are still things that need to be done from day to day. Some one has to attend to those things, and not everyone can just up and leave. Some people might not even want to leave, and there are even a select few that just can't.

So for those of you staying behind, make sure you're not strangers to your fellow survivors!]

Mhmm... just givin' Tama-chan some attention. It's been a while since I've done that.

I'm pretty sure she has your back too, you know. She's missed you a bit, though, what with one thing and the other.

Heh. I bet. She's gettin' so big, too.

And still as much of a baby as ever. It's cute though. Occasionally she tries to pull off threatening, but generally she reverts to a loveable lump soon after.

She's about as treatenin' as a coal tar on a bad day.

…you know I'm not actually sure what you just said to me, but I'm assuming you agree.

[Tama-chan starts emitting a series of noises quite similar in sound and pitch to cat growls. But unlike cat growls, these are clearly shows of content, rather than discontentment]

And whatever it is you're doing, she seems to like it.

Rubbin' her belly. She's really lovin' it.

Yeah, she's a sucker for a good belly rub. Is she doing the feet wavy thing?

...you know, whenever people tell me that anklegators are the stuff of legends and scary stories, I can't help but laugh.

Well there was that big wild one that tried to eat me... but you wouldn't do that to me, would you Tama-chan?

Oh, Seimei mentioned her. Apparently that's her biological mama. Assuming she is the same one, of course...

He was there when it happened, so yeah, probably. Apparently things just like chewin' on me! It happened with Hobgoblins back home all the time.

Tama-chan just chews on everything.

[a soft grumble and a lift of the head as the Anklegator is pulled out of her bliss. Thanks, Mama. Thanks for the betrayal :/]

We are trying to get her to stop. But at least the house is still in one piece!

I think that's an animal thing. I knew cats who liked chewing on things a lot, too.

Maybe put stuff on things she chews on a lot? Like somethin' spicy or a flavor she doesn't like.
