What: oh look everyone made it back alive, and they brought goodies!
Format: action
Warnings: none
[Once everyone returns, tired (and a little singed, in some cases) but successful, Nathaniel will bring everyone to the monument. But before shoving all of those nifty cores and shards into the monument, he'll take a moment to show off one of the things that was found.
Nathaniel holds up a very large shard, one that's easily the size of a football, but definitely not anywhere near core-sized.]
See these? These are basically unrefined shards. Shards don't come out of the ground in the form you're used to seeing them, they're usually much bigger and have to be carved down to the right size. Usually a shard like this would be made into several smaller shards, for conformity's sake.
Fortunately, we can use things like this. A shard like this isn't going to be enough to repair the Bastion any like a core would, but it'll definitely give it a boost of power. So if you find any of these, be sure to bring 'em back.
[There's also the business of papers to attend to, but first: glorious power to the Bastion. The groups found more than enough to make sure the Bastion has full power for at least two more months, if not longer.
