[So. They Bastion has a hospital now.

Seeing as how several people got pretty hurt, it might be a good idea to use it.

Or you can mingle and talk to people, if you want. Now is a time for resting and relaxing after a difficult day.]

[Wandering along the empty corridors of the new hospital Night looks like someone that probably needed to be in a hospital bed on first glance. Her clothes were ripped and covered in soot and small dried clumps of goo, most of which was stuck in her hair.

But her outer state doesn't seem to be her first priority right now. No, that would be exploring this new building.]

They had managed to arrive at the Bastion with little incident, and in comparison to his previous excursion; Ippo had nothing but a few nicks and scrapes to his name. He was happy that they got the core and that they now had a full fledged hospital...but at what cost? Watching Bon help Rin and the others escort Sonic to the hospital...suddenly Ippo felt an odd sense of isolation in the pit of his chest as he meandered off to go sit down with his back to a tree.

I know injuries in a fight are inevitable...but if I had just been stronger...maybe...

He mumbled to himself as he clenched his teeth and he stared down at his fist, his insecurities rising to the surface once more. Again, he'd been unable to protect his friends despite his best efforts; and all he could think was how he wished he was the one in that hospital instead of Sonic...

Dammit...

[Since Ippo is outside, the NPC named Mireille will approach him.]

You helped with retrieving the core, didn't you?

Ippo hadn't exactly been expecting anyone to show up out here with the focus being on the injured, so he was jostled out of his negative thoughts by a soft voice; his face turning upwards quickly to figure out who addressing him. While he hadn't been formally introduced to her, he had seen her around enough to recognize the woman's face even if he didn't know her name; but her question quickly brought back his frown...he didn't feel like he had been very useful in all honesty.

I did my best to help...but I think the others put in a lot more than I was able to...

If anyone wants a kickstart to their healing, I still have magic left today.

[ Duke would have taken care of that on the boat, but... Moving vehicles didn't seem to be good for the knight's concentration. ]

[Bon does have some injuries on his hands, but.]

Heal Sonic, he needs it the most.

[Bon might be trying to bury himself in work so he can be busy and not let all of his worries take over his thoughts.]

Fortunately for you both...

[ The knight is going to catch a hold of Bon's upper shoulder. ]

I have a spell that's meant for infirmaries, or as many as I can cram into a circle with a ten foot diameter.

[Except that Rin isn't really injured so much as completely freaked out, mentally broken and in a terrible emotional state. One worse than she's ever been in before. She didn't even know she could break this damn hard but apparently she can, and she has.

As soon as she's got a moment alone, and no one is fussing over her or keeping a close eye on her, she'll try to slip away and out of the hospital.

Either a) catch her before she gets all the way out or b) find her later in the Onsen, fully clothed and sitting on the rocks.]

[Guess who followed her to the onsen? This little kitty now rubbing up against Rin's leg and purring lightly.]

[Normally that would have been a comfort, but Rin doesn't feel she deserves comfort right now.

She won't swat at Night or shoo her away, just curl up her knees tighter to her chest and mutter thickly]

G'away, Night...

Later in the onsen...

[Hi Auntie Rin-chan.

You don't have to talk to Tama-chan, okay? But Tama-chan and her mama are worried about you, so Tama-chan followed you here. Tama-chan's here now. So she'll quietly rest her head in your lap.]

[But Auntie Rin-chan did a bad thing and she doesn't thing she deserves to have anyone worry about her, even Tama-chans.]

[Hello Rin. Looks like a wolf tailed you to the Onsen and decided that next to you is a perfect place to sit. Guess who noticed you were feeling down?]

[Wait how did a wolf get in to the Bastion?

When she finally notices him, she lets out a startled gasp, moving back on the slick rocks.]

[Bon is going to go for catching her before she leaves.]

Okumura, wait.

[He's not actually grabbing her right now, because his hands are carrying a few other things, but he'll try to stop her with his voice.]

[Had it been anyone else, she would have kept going.

Her steps slow, and she turns, hands working at the edge of her shirt.]

... a... are your hands okay... ?

[once everyone who needs medical attention are safely being taken care of, Kaoru leaves the room and tries to find himself a quiet place to just... be, for a little while, sliding down a wall to sit on the ground, Tama-chan coming to sit with him. He knows there is blood on his clothes and he really should change out of them, but he's tired and a little shaky and will just sit here until he feels better. His hands rest on Tama-chan, and his eyes are closed.]

[ He had avoided all the others aside from using his magic to assist Duke in healing enough to stem blood-flow and stabilize more precarious situations. He spoke to no one, said nothing and did little more than ride back in silence, watching Kaoru with and unreadable expression.

When they arrived at the Bastion, he followed the red-head as they got everyone that needed it to the hospital, departing briefly only to return in time to see Kaoru slide down the wall. It had taken a moment to find him, but Seimei had a good nose.

Sighing softly he approached to stand over the boy, clearing his throat and holding out a small bundle. ]

I hope it was not too terribly forward, but I went to your home and retrieved clothing for you to take to the onsen. It is bad luck to wear old blood.

[ Kroenen wanders the hospital and grounds with silent approval, not showing any of his internal excitement as he marches with hands clasped tight behind his back. He did make certain to check on everyone before allowing them to escape the hospital.

Sonic was of particular interest, and Kroenen was especially fascinated to explore the many luxuries offered by a proper facility. Nevertheless, once he discovered the purposes of items and places, he spent his time sorting injuries and saw to the hedgehog first per triage.

It was more than a little frustrating to find Stein so scarce for so long when he could have used assistance, but Kroenen wasn't one to fail in the face of over-working. Besides, he had a hospital. Well...it wasn't his alone, specifically....but he wasn't about to let someone less qualified handle anything. He was a doctor, after all.

And naturally, seeing that the self-proclaimed "fastest thing alive" was back on his feet and trying to make people believe he could defy physics would be a nice pip in his collar.

Once everyone was bandaged, splinted, treated and given appropriate antibiotics, Kroenen set to deeply scrutinizing and cataloging everything available in the building. A particualrly observant person, who knew Kroenen well, might note the slight quiver in his gloved hands as he handled things. Yes, he was excited. Very, very excited. ]

[Once his hands are taken care of, Bon is going to go around checking on people and making sure they're okay. It was hard to keep track of everyone during the excitement of the fight, and he's sure everyone is either physically or emotionally exhausted. Unlike the last two times they got Cores, nobody seems really happy this time.

Well, except for Kroenen. But Kronen is strange anyway, so.

He's going up to anyone he can and talking to them.]

I'm doing alright.

[this hadn't been the first time Sonic had been injured, and it hadn't been the first time he'd lost his speed. But that didn't keep it from hitting any less hard, especially in the circumstances they were now in.

Even the fact that they'd told him he'd heel really quickly didn't seem to help much. What did when everything you knew was in doubt, and when you believed your greatest enemy might have been responsible? So, Sonic just sat in his hospital bed, his leg appropriately held up, just staring up at the wall]

[Some hours later, long enough for Rin to be calmed down after talking to a few people, there's a knock at his door. She's not completely okay (who would be after something like that?) but well enough that she wants to at least poke her head in and see how Sonic is doing.]

[ Taisan, given a bit of recreational leave while Seimei and Kaoru circle-jerked, finished their laundry and wandered the Bastion, eventually going to peek in on the Boss. Instead, he got distracted watching Alucard and Rin.

Eventually the shikigami went back to wandering; he explored the new hospital and annoyed the German for a bit with questions, but as time passed he found himself heading back towards the onsen. Humming to himself, he managed to catch the half-demon as she was about to lurch off somewhere else. ]

Man kiddo, you look like shit. I'm probably in a position to say something really cheery and optimistic, but you look totally not interested in hollow words of encouragement. So I'll just say it straight.

You look like shit.

Third time's usually a charm but I've got no idea if that means you actually turn into crap or not so I'll restrain myself.

[ He hops up off one foot, hands clasped behind his back as he floats, turns upside-down and hovers nose to nose with the girl. ]

Wanna do a Spiderman kiss? Its totally hot and tends to cheer girls right up.

[Ever seen a wild animal just stare at you with dead, uncaring eyes with all the life of something that's just utterly given up living, Taisan? Because that's what Rin is doing right now. There's no energy in her at all, no spark in those vivid blue eyes. Just a dull stare at the shikigami, complete with dark circles and red-splotched cheeks.

She pushes him away once he's nose to nose with her, but there's not even the usual strength in her shove as she tries to continue on her way.]

I have a boyfriend, Taisan...
