[A lack of rot demons will do that.]
And I think the feeling of losing control is because you're losing control of your emotions, not your powers.

[She finished wrapping one hand, stopping there with her own hands still holding his. She refused to look up at him, though, her ears even slightly down in a clear sign of her own upset and even a little shame for what she'd done.
She drew quiet then, lips pulled tight until her voice came out again, even quieter than it had been.]
We... went through a lotta crazy shit in Kyoto... but we never lost anyone...

[Like everyone died, when the world ended.]
But you can't let that weigh on you. It'll eat you up. Remembering the past is okay, but you gotta keep moving forward too.
[Then he manages a small, yet genuine, smile.]
At least you don't have to walk forward alone, right?

[Because every loss some how felt like a personal failure. Like she didn't do enough, even though there was nothing that could have been done at all.
A fang worked at her lower lip, not hard enough to draw blood. He was right, and she knew it, but convincing herself of that was the hardest part of it all.
Her eyes finally moved up, looking at him through a mess of blue-black fringe in order to see that small smile. She nodded quietly.]

That is really cute.
For a moment Bon is stuck there, looking a touch surprised, and maybe with a tinge of pink on his cheeks. But that pink darkens a little more as he looks away quickly.]
Anyway, let's finish this real quick.
[He's still got one hand left that needs to be bandaged, remember?]
no subject
she is the kawaiiest, bon]O-oh. Right. Yeah...
[Oops accidental dokis. But he's right, there's another hand to bandage, and she's just going to quietly focus on that.]

... there. How's that?

This'll work, thanks.
[It still stings but Bon can live with that.]

[A breath in, and she straightened up fully, reaching over to... flick Bon in the forehead.]
You shouldn't be so reckless either.
no subject
[He reaches up to hold his forehead, moreso out of reflex than anything.]
You're one to lecture me about that!
no subject
[And she just... smiles at him. Cutely. Tail waving behind her like a playful cat.]
