[So. They Bastion has a hospital now.

Seeing as how several people got pretty hurt, it might be a good idea to use it.

Or you can mingle and talk to people, if you want. Now is a time for resting and relaxing after a difficult day.]

Ah...

[She goes to find a place to sit, carefully pulling her hair out of its sad, sad ponytail and attempts to run her fingers through it.]

I was serious about the training, you know.

[Rin vanishes just long enough from the apartment go to her own and retrieve the scissors that she had gotten during Bon's mishap. Of course she returns to hear that, and she stops just shy of the doorway, fidgeting with the kit in her hands.]

I know.

[Night watches her hesitate, hands stilling in between locks of hair.]

It would be a mutual benefit. I wouldn't mind having a sparring partner.

[hellpyre]

... I'd be a pretty lousy one right now.

[She doesn't say it aloud, but it's in her eyes - a silent wish to have her confidence back, to have that inner strength she showed in Kyoto and that attitude that carried her through so much of her life.

She doesn't know where the hell it went, but it sure is missing now, and it's becoming more and more apparent she doesn't know how to handle herself anymore. Not in a world where so much is lost and everyone is suffering.]

Lousy's still good to me. Besides, you'll only improve with practice so what's the harm?

[She smiles, an action hopefully to disengage Rin's obvious hesitation towards the idea of unsheathing her sword again.]

You'll be fine. I believe in you.

[She wants to believe that, badly, but her stomach is just twisting at the thought of it.

Still, she nods, slowly.]

[She doesn't say anymore on the matter, understanding her anxiety.]

Well... I guess I better get this over with, huh? [Tugging at her hair.]

Oh. Yeah, I guess so.

[Don't worry, Night. Your hair is in... mostly safe hands.]

I don't think you're gonna have to lose all of it.

Ughh... [Visibly shudders and squeezes her eyes shut like this will be actually painful for her.

Drama queen.]

Shh. Stop squirmin'. It'll be over faster the less you move.

I'm not! [yes she is.

but she'll keep still for rin. it wouldn't be wise to move so much during such a delicate procedure.]
