[So the past few days in the Bastion have been very hectic and a little more than emotionally stressful for everyone. About two days have come and gone since the last very large batch of arrivals have come in to the Bastion, and thankfully since then it's been relatively quiet. It's a good time to compress, meet some new people and maybe have some good food at the distillery courtesy of Rin.]

[The feeling of his strength being drawn away makes the dragon panic more, and its head snaps around to look at the other dragon even as its body falls. There's no true intelligence behind its eyes, just bestial rage and divine fury.]

[Even as it's squashed beneath the other's bulk, it hisses and screeches, clawing at the ground to try to get away. The crushing weight makes Ryu panic even more, but he can't move... he can't move...]

[Slowly, the dragon's movement stills. Ryu can't feed it enough energy anymore, and the form simply disappears, back into hybrid form and then simply to his own appearance.]

[There's no words, just a cry of pain as he collapses to the ground, body motionless except for very shallow breathing.]

I'm a little burnt from whatever that was - the feeling of losing everything? Ah-

[ Well then.

The knight is extra glad that violence didn't happened. Duke would have felt terrible. ]

.... Should I try healing him?

[As the other dragon's form changes beneath him, Paarthurnax carefully moves off. When he's certain that Ryu is quiet, he nods to Duke.]

Greh, it seems he would need it. It was not a pleasant Thu'um I used on him.

[He doesn't respond, though he at least doesn't seem hurt. If anything, he just looks tired. His sword rests next to him, though he has a hand on it.]

[ There's a seal of light - looks a bit like lots and lots of math - under the knight for a moment. ]

Cure!

[ A nice little glowing ball of goldish light that drains itself into Ryu. It won't do anything for his magic-loss, but it will patch up whatever damage he took from the energy drain. Maybe just feel like he has it back. ]

As rude as it sounds, better than having him go after anyone who isn't quite as fast?

[Paarthurnax nudges his snout against Ryu's body.]

He would regret it with how much he wishes for peace.

[He stirs slightly, opening his eyes a little. Once he realizes what's going on, he covers his face with his hands.]
