[So the past few days in the Bastion have been very hectic and a little more than emotionally stressful for everyone. About two days have come and gone since the last very large batch of arrivals have come in to the Bastion, and thankfully since then it's been relatively quiet. It's a good time to compress, meet some new people and maybe have some good food at the distillery courtesy of Rin.]

[Ryu watches the little fox, and can't help but grin like a doof. He heads over and jumps up to try to catch the butterfly too.]

Hey!

[Oh it's a game now! Who can catch it first? Zoroark lets out a rumbling, playful noise as he tries to go after it again.]

[amnesiadragon]

[He chases after it too, but it flutters just too high for his reach.]

[unwrittenformula]

Zou...

[Zoroark dropped back down in a crouch after it fluttered just out of his reach as well, watching it as it moved to a new area of the Bastion. He seemed sad it was going, but he didn't follow it either.]

Aw.

... Hi! I'm Ryu. What's your name?

[He reaches out a hand towards the other creature.]

[Zoroark couldn't speak aloud, even in an illusion form that was human, but he did recognize the gesture from other humans that he'd seen an encountered.

He took the hand in his large paw, giving it a shake with a toothy fox grin. If Ryu could understand him at all, though, he'd easily learned that he was simply called the same as his Pokemon type: Zoroark.]

[He doesn't understand him in terms of words, but from the lack of verbal response he can get that he doesn't have a personal name. But that's okay.]

Are you new here?

[unwrittenformula]

[That's alright. N will talk for him later, when he's not busy in the hospital with Hilda.

The question gets a nod, and he holds up two fingers on his paw.]

Two days? I haven't been here that long either. Are you doing okay so far?

[unwrittenformula]

[Zoroark started to nod, but hesitated, and pointed back at the hospital. He couldn't really SAY he had a friend there, but that's what he was indicating.]

You don't look hurt - oh!

[Maybe it was someone he knew? That would make sense.]

Oh. Will they be okay?

[unwrittenformula]

[Zoroark nodded, pointing to his arm and making a breaking motion after that.

She would heal, of course, but Hilda wasn't exactly going anywhere for a while.]

Oh... will they still be able to fight?

[Survival is important... :<]

[unwrittenformula]

[Zoroark shook his head at that, then pointed at himself before putting his paws up in fists.

Really, Hilda had her own team to fight for her, but she was also important to N. So of course that meant if he needed to he would fight for Hilda, too.]

Well, it's good that your friend has people to protect them.

[The foxthing is smart enough to talk, so it's a person. This is how things work.]

[Zoroark nods with a big puppy-dog grin. If he had a tail it would be wagging.

At that moment a voice called out, coming from the hospital doors.]

Zoroark!

[amnesiadragon]

[Ryu looks over at the voice, confused.]

Hello?

[unwrittenformula]

[Zoroark went bounding over to the tall man with fluffy green hair, crouching next to him as N immediately started petting him. Zoroark seemed to be chatting excitedly with N, earning a series of nods and a couple of quiet questions before he finally acknowledged Ryu.]

Hello.

[amnesiadragon]

You must be a friend of his. How are you doing?

[unwrittenformula]

I am.

[Zoroark rose to his full height, happily nuzzling in to N's fluffy hair as he continued to pet the fox's head.]

Better than we were. Mending as well as we can be.

[A whine escaped Zoroark at that, and once more he seemed to be speaking to N.

What about Hilda?]

She's resting, Zoroark. We can see her later.

Is your friend who's in the hospital doing okay? They broke their arm, right?

[unwrittenformula]

[Hilda!]

Yes, Hilda. She's recovering.

[amnesiadragon]

That's good. I'm Ryu. What's your name?

[unwrittenformula]

N. And this is Zoroark.

[Zoroark let out a rumbling noise, lowering his head in a proper greeting.

That was as close to a 'nice to meet you' that Ryu was going to get from either of them.]

It's good to meet both of you. You're new here, right?
