Entry tags:
lap seven // day 270 (open)
Who: Aoi and every resident of the Bastion she can get her hands on.
Open: HELL YEAH
When: Throughout day 270
Where: WHEREVER YOU ARE; she's hunting people down!
What: Aoi has big plans and a small amount of time and she needs everyone's help to make this party happen!
Format: Action tags preferred, but I'll match!
Warnings: N/A
[As soon as the travel party set out towards the Bastion, Aoi decided what needed to be done. It didn't have to be anything too extravagant, especially since she'd be focusing on making it happen as soon as possible without any pre-planning, but a welcome party for the group of Ura who had come to stay with them was absolutely necessary.
She stayed up late last night putting together something like a plan: scribbling lists of what they'd need, what to do—a tall order, certainly, given all the Bastion's residents, but she wanted the party thrown as soon as possible. If she waited too long, it wouldn't be a welcome party anymore!
With enough help, though, she could get it done in a day.
And that's why Aoi's scurrying up and down the Bastion today. If she hasn't disappeared to go work on her own contributions, she's darting in and out of the public buildings, jogging across the open fields, and heading right in the direction of absolutely anyone she sees—except, of course, their newest residents; she's got a good enough head on her shoulders to be friendly when she passes by any members of the new group of Ura instead of actively avoiding them, but they can't know about the party. A surprise is the only way to go!
So she'll be reaching out to all of the Bastion's other residents—seriously, all of them, even those she doesn't know so well. A group effort is the only thing that's going to make this happen, after all!]
Hey! Hey, you! I need your help! [She'll run over to anyone she spots anywhere, glance around furtively to make sure none of the new Ura can listen in on her top secret party plans, lower her voice, and lean in.]
I wanna throw a party.
(( ooc: Partylog will be a separate post made later! Timing-wise, Aoi will be recruiting assistance throughout the day so that decorations and food and such are prepared, just not put out, and either having people stay up late or wake up early to help put things out during the night so the party's ready the following morning, but we'll probably handwave the actual set-up unless anyone is particularly inclined to threading it out. Tags and partylog might be delayed depending on how bad the blizzard I am smack-dab in the middle of messes with the power. ))

floatstroll around the Bastion.][The Helmsman gives a pause once he's approached, actually willing to pay Aoi some mind instead of the usual dismissive bullshit he pulls on most other residents of the Bastion. However, at her suggestion, he makes a face. More for his own benefit than hers, psi crackles out in the form of Alternian words.]
[Probably something like 'what the fuck', judging by his expression.]

Are those letters? [Give this easily-distracted dumbass a second to squint at that. A new idea's occurring to her now, but the party one is time-sensitive so this one'll have to wait!]
Anyway! Anyway, I wanna throw a party! I wanna throw a welcome party for the Ura who came back with us and surprise 'em tomorrow morning, but I need help setting it up!

Yeah! Aoi-chan, let's do it!
Let's throw the party to end all parties!
Ibuki will totally rock the party music!
[... not even asking why, she just wants the party]
And, and, we can play embarrassing party games, too!!

[Ibuki's enthusiasm only serves to fuel hers, of course.]
Right! Gotta have party games! ...Maybe nothing too embarrassing, though. I want a welcome party for the group of Ura who came back with us and I want 'em to be comfortable, y'know?

[ Aoi, Aoi. What are you doing, Naegi's pretty sure it's late at night or something. Seriously, he's even getting ready to make himself dinner and then be a vegetable for the night.
... but if this party was that important that it couldn't wait until the next day...? ]

Though he does pause as he looks at her curiously, tilting his head and leaning in as his voice drops to a whisper. ]

Ibuki-chan was gonna put on a concert in the gazebo. I'unno if she came to talk to you about like, special effects and stuff yet, but she said she was gonna. The party's gonna be tomorrow, though! So there's probably not a time to do anything toooooo complicated...

[Rin had been... "missing" for a short time, though really the extent of her being gone was closer to self-imposed seclusion in the apartment. But whatever had happened to cause that had obviously been worked out because she was back in the kitchen as normal when Aoi approached, a bit of flour smudged on her cheek, long hair messily pulled away from her face, and apron on.
As well as an incredulous expression directed at the person who had just burst in to the kitchen like a stampede was chasing her.]
