What: Aoi has big plans and a small amount of time and she needs everyone's help to make this party happen!

[As soon as the travel party set out towards the Bastion, Aoi decided what needed to be done. It didn't have to be anything too extravagant, especially since she'd be focusing on making it happen as soon as possible without any pre-planning, but a welcome party for the group of Ura who had come to stay with them was absolutely necessary.

She stayed up late last night putting together something like a plan: scribbling lists of what they'd need, what to do—a tall order, certainly, given all the Bastion's residents, but she wanted the party thrown as soon as possible. If she waited too long, it wouldn't be a welcome party anymore!

With enough help, though, she could get it done in a day.

And that's why Aoi's scurrying up and down the Bastion today. If she hasn't disappeared to go work on her own contributions, she's darting in and out of the public buildings, jogging across the open fields, and heading right in the direction of absolutely anyone she sees—except, of course, their newest residents; she's got a good enough head on her shoulders to be friendly when she passes by any members of the new group of Ura instead of actively avoiding them, but they can't know about the party. A surprise is the only way to go!

So she'll be reaching out to all of the Bastion's other residents—seriously, all of them, even those she doesn't know so well. A group effort is the only thing that's going to make this happen, after all!]

Hey! Hey, you! I need your help! [She'll run over to anyone she spots anywhere, glance around furtively to make sure none of the new Ura can listen in on her top secret party plans, lower her voice, and lean in.]

I wanna throw a party.

(( ooc: Partylog will be a separate post made later! Timing-wise, Aoi will be recruiting assistance throughout the day so that decorations and food and such are prepared, just not put out, and either having people stay up late or wake up early to help put things out during the night so the party's ready the following morning, but we'll probably handwave the actual set-up unless anyone is particularly inclined to threading it out. Tags and partylog might be delayed depending on how bad the blizzard I am smack-dab in the middle of messes with the power. ))

I don't know how to decorate or make party... things... either...

Decorating's not so hard! It's just a matter of making things look nice! Like, I sent...um, the one alien who doesn't talk to get some flowers earlier, and Zuko's getting lanterns—it's really simple stuff!

[amnesiadragon]

I guess. What should I get, then?

[amphibian]

Well...something pretty! We've got flowers and lanterns and streamers already—what do you think'd look nice?

[amnesiadragon]

Uhh...

[He thinks hard about it, and... nope.]

Uh.... I don't... I don't... know...

[He's only been to a party here, so...]

[amphibian]

Ehehe, weeeell...do you wanna help me get the furniture together, then? I should probably make sure all the tables and chairs and stuff are together so I'm not running around and making a ton of noise late at night getting them to set up. So we'll need tablecloths and dishes, too... You should help pick stuff that matches and looks good!

[amnesiadragon]

Oh! I can do that! Carrying heavy things isn't a problem!

[amphibian]

All right! For now, would you mind moving 'em to the lost and found so they're together? And tonight we'll move everything out so it's ready for tomorrow morning...

Oh! And it's a secret! It's gonna be a big surprise for tomorrow!

[amnesiadragon]

Okay! But... what will I say if someone says something about the furniture moving?

[amphibian]

Tell 'em you're, um...redecorating? Okay, well, it's actually not a secret from everybody. Just the Ura that came back with us yesterday. It's gonna be a welcome party!

[amnesiadragon]

Ohhhh. Okay! ... How do you think they're getting along here?

[amphibian]

Well...I mean, it's not easy being so far away from home anyway, is it? But that's why I wanna do this! 'cause I'm really not sure, and I want them to feel...y'know, welcome!

[amnesiadragon]

Yeah.

[He's quiet for a few moments before he speaks again.]

I think I've been here longer than I was awake at home.

[amphibian]

...Oh. [Not the direction she was expecting this conversation to go, but if Ryu's going to open up to her like that all of a sudden, he's probably been thinking about that a lot.] Well—how's that feel?

[amnesiadragon]

... I don't know. It's... weird.

[He scratches the back of his head, thinking.]

I mean... I like this place, but I liked there, too.

[amphibian]

Mhm.

...I miss my apartment, and my family. But I wasn't at home when everything happened. And...I'm glad to be away from the place I was before I ended up here. It's way better here than it was there, but it would've been way better to go back home, too.

...It's weird. I gotcha.

[amnesiadragon]

[... He reaches out to give her a hug. Hugs make things better, right?]

[amphibian]

[She starts at the contact, but doesn't waste any time in wrapping her arms around him, too.]

It's fine. I'm gonna be okay. I...I think we all are!

[amnesiadragon]

Yeah. We'll all keep each other safe, right?

[amphibian]

For sure! [She squeezes him tight. It's so good to feel safe again.] Safe and entertained, too, if this party turns out as good as it oughta!

[amnesiadragon]

Yeah. I'll do what I can to help!

[amphibian]

Yay! [She pulls away so he can see her grin, and she punches her fist into her opposite palm, determined.] Gimme a heads-up when you've got everything together, 'kay? And we can haul it all out late tonight!

[amnesiadragon]

I will! I'll see you later!

[He mimics her motion, though he hits his fingers rather than his palm and shakes his hand off. That. Did not go as plan.]
