Entry tags:
lap seven // day 270 (open)
Who: Aoi and every resident of the Bastion she can get her hands on.
Open: HELL YEAH
When: Throughout day 270
Where: WHEREVER YOU ARE; she's hunting people down!
What: Aoi has big plans and a small amount of time and she needs everyone's help to make this party happen!
Format: Action tags preferred, but I'll match!
Warnings: N/A
[As soon as the travel party set out towards the Bastion, Aoi decided what needed to be done. It didn't have to be anything too extravagant, especially since she'd be focusing on making it happen as soon as possible without any pre-planning, but a welcome party for the group of Ura who had come to stay with them was absolutely necessary.
She stayed up late last night putting together something like a plan: scribbling lists of what they'd need, what to do—a tall order, certainly, given all the Bastion's residents, but she wanted the party thrown as soon as possible. If she waited too long, it wouldn't be a welcome party anymore!
With enough help, though, she could get it done in a day.
And that's why Aoi's scurrying up and down the Bastion today. If she hasn't disappeared to go work on her own contributions, she's darting in and out of the public buildings, jogging across the open fields, and heading right in the direction of absolutely anyone she sees—except, of course, their newest residents; she's got a good enough head on her shoulders to be friendly when she passes by any members of the new group of Ura instead of actively avoiding them, but they can't know about the party. A surprise is the only way to go!
So she'll be reaching out to all of the Bastion's other residents—seriously, all of them, even those she doesn't know so well. A group effort is the only thing that's going to make this happen, after all!]
Hey! Hey, you! I need your help! [She'll run over to anyone she spots anywhere, glance around furtively to make sure none of the new Ura can listen in on her top secret party plans, lower her voice, and lean in.]
I wanna throw a party.
(( ooc: Partylog will be a separate post made later! Timing-wise, Aoi will be recruiting assistance throughout the day so that decorations and food and such are prepared, just not put out, and either having people stay up late or wake up early to help put things out during the night so the party's ready the following morning, but we'll probably handwave the actual set-up unless anyone is particularly inclined to threading it out. Tags and partylog might be delayed depending on how bad the blizzard I am smack-dab in the middle of messes with the power. ))

[ Shing blinks in surprise, but then grins as he nods and approaches her.
Though he does pause as he looks at her curiously, tilting his head and leaning in as his voice drops to a whisper. ]
... what's the party for, if you don't mind me asking?

Wait... why are we being so quiet about this, then? I'm assuming this is supposed to be a surprise of some sort?
[ It would explain why they're both being all hush-hush about this. ]

[ He nods, glancing at Asahina and waiting for her to move so he can follow. ]
What exactly do you need help with? I'd be more than happy to help where I can.

I mean, I can cut vegetables or something if that's needed, but! What else do you need?

[ Shing pauses, crossing his arms as he "hmmmm"s in thought. ]
This is kinda harder than I thought...

Well, that and I don't know if the Ura would be interested in that...
[ Shing crosses his arms, closing his eyes in thought. ]
... oh, what about a tug of war setup? That could be just as good...
no subject
Heeey, that's great! That'd be way fun for everybody! And we could make the teams random to make new people work together... Ooh, at the festival we did capture the flag with everybody against Paarthurnax—I wonder...
[oh no]

[ Oh, if only he knew what kind of music that Ibuki was good at... ]
... wonder what? Now I'm curious...

[ Aoi, no... that's totally a terrible idea... ]
That'd be kind of cool, actually! We should definitely try it!
[ SHING, NO...! ]

[DON'T ENCOURAGE HER]

[ Too late, Shing totally thinks this is an awesome idea... ]

[ And Shing salutes Aoi, nodding in emphasis. ]
This is supposed to be the best welcome party ever, right? I'm not about to let you down!

[ Shing stares at Asahina's hand in complete confusion, though, staring at her with a tilt of his head. ]
... what is that?
