[In his head Bon is saying "it's not even that far, what the hell is this kid's problem?"

But he doesn't say that out loud, because he's nice like that. Even if his face shows his annoyance.]

You haven't been here before either, but you still managed to get here.

Ragnarok wanted to stay out there, but I said we should go here because there aren't monsters here. So we came here.

[When Crona's less nervous, the words will make more sense. But right now there's too much to worry about to need to lay out words properly. Right now the words just come out like Crona thinks them.]

[Chrona's thoughts are very confusing to Bon, and it doesn't help that he has no idea who Ragnarok is.

He's assuming Ragnarok is a person, at least, though he can't see anyone else here but Chrona.]

Who's Ragnarok?

[Crona waits for the familiar feeling, the stinging burn of blood forcing itself through skin. But Ragnarok isn't in the mood for that right now. He wants to watch Crona try to explain.

So Crona tries to explain.]

... my blood is black, you know?

[You're an idiot.

Crona glances backward, a shift of gaze over one shoulder, and the next words aren't aimed at Suguro.] Shut up. You explain.

[No way, moron..]

[Whyyyyy is Chrona so weird and creepy? It's making it hard for Bon to keep talking, he's thinking about dumping Chrona off on one of the other people here and running away.

But then weird shit happens and Bon starts wondering if maybe Ragnarok isn't human at all, but a demon.]

...no? I've never heard of black blood before.

[He's ignoring the self-talking on Chrona's part because questioning this guy's (girl's?) sanity probably won't help, especially not if they're being bothered by a demon.]

Other people don't have it. Just me. And the Kishin but he's dead. So he doesn't have it any more.

[Those dark eyes drift back to fix on Bon's face.]

I can show you, if you think I don't have it. I'm not a liar.

No, no, I believe you.

[He doesn't really have any reason not to at this point.]

I've just never heard of it before, so I don't know what it is.

[...wait, why is he trying to reassure someone who is clearly off-kilter?]

I bet your blood is red.

[And then a flinch, looking back over one thin shoulder.]

No, you can't find out.

[He might be tensing up a bit at that. He's starting to think there will be a fight.]

If this 'black blood' does anything special, why not show me?

[He's trying to figure out how a demon could have gotten into the Bastion. All the other monsters seemed to stay far away, one slipping in doesn't seem possible. Unless maybe possessing a human would let them in?]

You said you didn't want to see it, now you do want to see it. You can't make up your mind. People who can't make up their mind aren't strong, you know?

I didn't say I didn't want to see it, I just said that I believed you.

[He's grumpy now, he doesn't like being indirectly called weak.]

I said I can show you. You said no. That means you didn't want to see it. Now you do.

Next time someone asks you something, you can just say "pass". That means you don't have to answer.

[Okay he's scowling at Chrona now. He's tried to be patient, but he's got a short temper and he can't put up with the condescending attitude anymore.]

If you've got a problem with it, then you can figure this crap out for yourself!

[Oh look, he's walking away now.]

[Bon can walk off, but he's gained a pink-haired shadow.]

[NO GO AWAY

When he notices Chrona following him, he'll turn around to yell at him.]

What do you want?!

[Crona flinches, stepping away, terrified and wide-eyed. It's like the kid thinks Bon's yelling is going to be accompanied by a physical attack.]

I'm sorry! I'm sorry!

[Fortunately Bon won't hit anyone who he isn't on good terms with, so it's just yelling for now. But he's mad and doesn't notice the flinching or the stepping away.]

I don't care if you're sorry! You can't go acting all high and mighty like that!

[Crona whimpers, curling up slightly, still afraid.]

I'm sorry. [Enough apologies, and maybe this person won't stay angry.]

Bon, who're you yellin' at... ?

[Rin doesn't see the person that's getting this verbal assault, Crona dwarfed behind Bon to the point of near invisibility from the half-demon's point of view. He's been fairly non-confrontational since arriving (probably for a variety of reasons, least of all being that he's still dealing with her being a female version of his male friend) so hearing his raised voice is cause enough for concern.]

[Bon was about to yell at Chrona some more, but when he hears Rin's voice he immediately whirls around and sees Rin standing there. Somehow that makes all the anger rush out of him in a second.

But as quickly as he calms down, he gets irritated again, and he frowns as he looks down at the ground and shoves his hands in his pockets.]

It's nothin'.

[Somehow he feels more mad at himself for losing his temper so quickly. Chrona had been abrasive, but the kid must have been traumatized by the world ending and such. Bon really needed to keep a cool head, his temper was not helpful at all here.

Speaking of Chrona, Bon realizes a second later that he's between Rin and Chrona, so he steps to the side so Rin can see who it is.]

Just some new...guy.

[Whoops pronoun trouble!]

[Crona doesn't look like a person who would draw Bon's ire. The pink-haired teen is still cowering, and the sight of a second stranger brings that stutter back, sound catching in Crona's throat, tripping over the first word in the statement.]

I-I-I-I'm sorry.

... oh.

[That explains--

... well. Absolutely nothing. Because 'new guy' doesn't exactly detail why Bon was getting so angry, and Crona looks like they couldn't hurt a fly.

Hell they might have been more afraid of the fly.

Rin looks to Crona, then to Bon, tail giving a twitch behind her back and low to the ground.]

You sure nothing's wrong? You were bein' pretty loud.

Everything's fine.

[That irritation is sneaking back in. He doesn't want to explain why he got mad in the first place. Nobody would understand anyway.]

Just- You've been here longer, you explain this stuff to him.

[Crona's gaze flicks between Rin and Bon, then finally settles on the girl.

...]

You have a tail.

Eh--?!

[What?! You found him, don't push your responsibility off on--

wait tail what

Or right people here can see her tail for some reason.

Rin sputters a bit and shoves her tail behind her back, trying to stuff it up her shirt.]

I... ignore that!
