The party is nearly over. Last drinks anyone? [Day 146]

Who: Everyone
Open: Open
When: Day 146
Where: All over the Bastion
What: Day 4 of the festival
Format: Any
Warnings: None

Yet another torch arrives in the wee morning hours, this one decorated with chains.

Today, the eldest of the Bastion and the youngest of the Bastion are gifted with another charm for their bracelets.

As for games, it seems to be strategy games all over the place! Games much like Earthly counterparts, such as Go, Shogi, Mahjong, Chess (even a 3D chess-like game, should you be so brave as to try it), Checkers, Risk (et al). Winners of these games will get a few more shards to add to their respective collections.

And there will also be a massive tower in the center of the Bastion, designed much like a climbing wall. Get to the top and retrieve the pendant in the set amount of time, and you'll earn another charm towards your bracelet!

As an extra to the ladies of the Bastion, there will be two special things exclusively for them - first off, Pyth will only be usable by ladies. Anyone who identifies as male will simply not receive a reaction from Ptyh should they step in to the pit. AND there will also be a special tug of war game for ladies only, using a chain. Acobi is the God of Abandon, and as such women will be free to do whatever they want today, regardless of their upbringing or beliefs. Go nuts, girls! The girls who win the tug of war will also get another charm, as well as two shards per person on the team that wins.

Evening will bring the next torch, this one adorned with a tower, and a massive feast of much healthier food and drink than what's been offered up until. Even if you eat and drink a great deal, you'll find yourself lacking any hangovers or stomach aches the following morning.

The soft music that's been playing every day of the festival will suddenly quit at around "5pm", and the remainder of the night will be filled with live music played by the NPCs, and even a few PCs should they choose to join in. The music will be in the gazebo with seats set up all around it like an outdoor performance stage, but with enough room up front for spontaneous dancing.

The night ends with this joyful celebration to close out the festival.

[SPORTS SPORTS SPORTS SPORTS SPORTS SPORTS SPORTS

Aren't you girls excited?! Because Aoi's excited! Though she's running back and forth across the area, she keeps stopping at one end of the chain to stretch—only to run off again towards any ladies who aren't getting their butts over to the tug-of-war so that she can drag them over herself.

[Ippo had been doing his own thing, generally wandering around the festivities when he spotted his new friend running back and forth near a chain. His curiosity won over and he approached, holding up a hand in greeting; might as well find out what all the energy was for.]

Hey there, what's got you so energetic?
amphibian: (would you look at yourself)

[personal profile] amphibian 2014-01-09 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
The tug of war, of course! [She gestured towards the chain, though the movement might've been better described as flailing.] I've gotta go find all the girls so everyone gets to participate and we can start!
windgod: (Bashful)

[personal profile] windgod 2014-01-09 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, well that sounds like fun. Is this just an event for the girls?

[Admittedly this whole situation was fun...considering this was the end of the world; he knew this wouldn't last forever, but he'd been enjoying it for what it was.]

Well I'm sure you'll do fine...I don't think I'd be very good in a Tug of War honestly.
amphibian: (a breath of wind could blow you away)

[personal profile] amphibian 2014-01-09 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
Yep! No boys allowed! [Aoi giggled; it sounded like some sort of secret tug-of-war clubhouse, put that way.]

You think so? [Taking a moment to be a huge ham, Aoi flexed and laughed again.] I bet you'd do a great job! It's all about teamwork!

[personal profile] windgod 2014-01-09 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
That's true, but I'm not all that strong...maybe a little bit, but compared to Night and Rin...

[Ippo was, as usual, wearing his incredibly baggy clothing; so all Aoi would see when he returned her flex was a small outline of the muscle beneath...though considering the bagginess of his shirt, it was kind of impressive to see anything at all poking through the fabric.]
amphibian: (you're gonna have to learn to like)

[personal profile] amphibian 2014-01-12 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
Hey, c'mon! Don't put yourself down! Umm— [She needed a moment to match faces to names; Night, Rin, Night, Rin...] I don't think either of them are regular humans, anyway, so you can't use them as a comparison. It's not allowed! [Consider the law laid down.]
windgod: (Actually...)

[personal profile] windgod 2014-01-12 07:24 am (UTC)(link)
Well...even compared to the people in my Gym, I wasn't all that impressive. Now Takamura-san...

[His eyes glazed over for a moment, lost in the memories of times gone by and of all the friends who had seen him to his most shining moment of victory.]

Takamura-san was amazing. He was strong enough to lift cars over his head...he was fast enough to outpace motorcycles...coordinated enough to snatch the buttons off of someone's shirt without hitting them...he was truly strong. If...I wanted to be like anyone, Takamura-san is definitely the person I'd most like to be like.

[Why is she being dragged by some overly energetic teenager?]

Just what is the big rush here?
amphibian: (for little girls)

[personal profile] amphibian 2014-01-10 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
The tug of war, of course! [This should be obvious, come on!!!] It's gonna be lots of fun, but only if everyone does their best together!
dontyoujustwish: (yuh-huh)

[personal profile] dontyoujustwish 2014-01-10 04:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Right. I can appreciate the women-only aspect, but it'd be more fun to defeat the men.

Or if we got money out of it.
amphibian: (staring hypnotized into a deep green sea)

[personal profile] amphibian 2014-01-11 05:33 am (UTC)(link)
Hehe, well, it might be fun to one-up the boys. But isn't the spirit of competition and, heehee, sportswomanship enough?! C'mon!

...I think the winning team gets shards anyway, though.
dontyoujustwish: (how interesting)

[personal profile] dontyoujustwish 2014-01-11 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
How many shards?

[The spirit of competition and sportswomanship are evidently not things she cares too much about.]
amphibian: (roll roll roll up your denim)

[personal profile] amphibian 2014-01-12 05:52 am (UTC)(link)
I dunno. Some? Does it reeeeally matter that much? [But those are the most important things!!!]
dontyoujustwish: (talking)

[personal profile] dontyoujustwish 2014-01-12 09:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, it does. It's the only currency we have, and yet it's difficult to come by unless you can be some sort of phallic-symbol-wielding brute.

[Rin would be more excited... if she wasn't still slightly hungover. She's getting a bit partied out, actually. Not that she isn't having fun, it's just more partying than most Japanese teenagers her age usually do.

Which is to say most don't do any at all and it's not like she ever participated in her school festivals back home until recently.

So as Aoi is tugging her, the half-demon is whining, tail slumped to the ground and being dragged behind her.]

Whyyyyy are you draggin' me... ?
