The party is nearly over. Last drinks anyone? [Day 146]
Who: Everyone
Open: Open
When: Day 146
Where: All over the Bastion
What: Day 4 of the festival
Format: Any
Warnings: None
Yet another torch arrives in the wee morning hours, this one decorated with chains.
Today, the eldest of the Bastion and the youngest of the Bastion are gifted with another charm for their bracelets.
As for games, it seems to be strategy games all over the place! Games much like Earthly counterparts, such as Go, Shogi, Mahjong, Chess (even a 3D chess-like game, should you be so brave as to try it), Checkers, Risk (et al). Winners of these games will get a few more shards to add to their respective collections.
And there will also be a massive tower in the center of the Bastion, designed much like a climbing wall. Get to the top and retrieve the pendant in the set amount of time, and you'll earn another charm towards your bracelet!
As an extra to the ladies of the Bastion, there will be two special things exclusively for them - first off, Pyth will only be usable by ladies. Anyone who identifies as male will simply not receive a reaction from Ptyh should they step in to the pit. AND there will also be a special tug of war game for ladies only, using a chain. Acobi is the God of Abandon, and as such women will be free to do whatever they want today, regardless of their upbringing or beliefs. Go nuts, girls! The girls who win the tug of war will also get another charm, as well as two shards per person on the team that wins.
Evening will bring the next torch, this one adorned with a tower, and a massive feast of much healthier food and drink than what's been offered up until. Even if you eat and drink a great deal, you'll find yourself lacking any hangovers or stomach aches the following morning.
The soft music that's been playing every day of the festival will suddenly quit at around "5pm", and the remainder of the night will be filled with live music played by the NPCs, and even a few PCs should they choose to join in. The music will be in the gazebo with seats set up all around it like an outdoor performance stage, but with enough room up front for spontaneous dancing.
The night ends with this joyful celebration to close out the festival.

She'll be singing and playing throughout the night, looking consistently delighted. Eventually, being so cheerful is going to give her the nerve to hop off the gazebo and dance right into the audience, sometimes as she plays—don't look too interested or she's liable to drag you out of your seat and get you to dance with her.]

[Her music had always been such a calming thing, back when everything first happened, when they all still didn't know so much. It had sometimes nearly been enough to help him forget, just for a short while, how terrible everything was. The same still happens now, and he listens with a soft smile on his face. It's a bit of a surprise when she comes into the crowd... and a distinct 'deer in headlights' expression comes over his face when he realizes it's him she's making her way towards.]
[Time to try and evade... and probably fail.]

Please don't make me sing.

Too late! [Her voice is the same as it might be if she were going "whoopsie daisy!" Grinning, she glances back towards the other players, then turns back to Zulf.] Pick something.

[That doesn't stop his expression from looking any more exasperated and pleading.]
I don't know any songs. [Well, that's a lie, but-] The only one I know isn't appropriate for something like a festival!

[NNnnnn. Zulf looks as though he's halfway ready to make a run to the edge of the Bastion. This isn't what he wanted to do at all. His shoulders just stay slumped.]
Zia... it really isn't appropriate. [But fine. He takes in a deep breath and straightens himself up, eyes closing. The words don't take very much thought to recall at all. They've been with him since childhood, after all. He starts out humming, just to get the tune right, before he starts to sing properly.]
I set my sail
Fly the wind it will take me
Back to my home, sweet home...
Lie on my back
Clouds are making way for me
I'm coming home, sweet home.

[And then there's Zia, just dancing by with great cheer, he's missed this!]
You seem to be having a good time!
no subject
You don't seem like you're having enough of one! [With a giggle, she holds out her hand.]
no subject
I've got a reputation to keep as the weird one, don't you know?
[He's not the least bit worried about that statement. More importantly, he's actually a fairly decent dancer in his own right! By the time Zia gets them moving, he's following her steps with ease.]
no subject
It stopping startles her a bit, too, but only as long as it takes for Zia to start playing with the other people up in the gazebo. Smiling, she slides her way over to watch from some distance. She would contribute... if she knew more than just church hymns by heart.]
