Yet another torch arrives in the wee morning hours, this one decorated with chains.

Today, the eldest of the Bastion and the youngest of the Bastion are gifted with another charm for their bracelets.

As for games, it seems to be strategy games all over the place! Games much like Earthly counterparts, such as Go, Shogi, Mahjong, Chess (even a 3D chess-like game, should you be so brave as to try it), Checkers, Risk (et al). Winners of these games will get a few more shards to add to their respective collections.

And there will also be a massive tower in the center of the Bastion, designed much like a climbing wall. Get to the top and retrieve the pendant in the set amount of time, and you'll earn another charm towards your bracelet!

As an extra to the ladies of the Bastion, there will be two special things exclusively for them - first off, Pyth will only be usable by ladies. Anyone who identifies as male will simply not receive a reaction from Ptyh should they step in to the pit. AND there will also be a special tug of war game for ladies only, using a chain. Acobi is the God of Abandon, and as such women will be free to do whatever they want today, regardless of their upbringing or beliefs. Go nuts, girls! The girls who win the tug of war will also get another charm, as well as two shards per person on the team that wins.

Evening will bring the next torch, this one adorned with a tower, and a massive feast of much healthier food and drink than what's been offered up until. Even if you eat and drink a great deal, you'll find yourself lacking any hangovers or stomach aches the following morning.

The soft music that's been playing every day of the festival will suddenly quit at around "5pm", and the remainder of the night will be filled with live music played by the NPCs, and even a few PCs should they choose to join in. The music will be in the gazebo with seats set up all around it like an outdoor performance stage, but with enough room up front for spontaneous dancing.

The night ends with this joyful celebration to close out the festival.

Charms for Young and Old Surviors

[You can hand wave the interaction, but Serena will be going around giving more charms, specifically to the relatively young (15 and below) and the older members of the Bastion (35 and up). How she knows your age is a mystery~! But she won't answer you if you ask.

Just a knowing smile as she goes to find the next person.]

[ Maybe surprisingly, Duke fits into that second group.

The look on the knights face as the woman deflects questions of how she knows is one of 'really-' but fine, one charm for the knight. ]

"I see we're both old now." Rosethorn protested the charm at first but leans heavily toward amusement on the matter right now. Duke can probably hear it in her voice. There's no sense getting offended, and even if they aren't her gods, turning down their tokens and favors seems rude.

There have been a few days she's felt very old, but today isn't one of them.

"I'm more confused where the idea came from." Duke shrugs, a bit of a smile forming. "I'd been the object of 'no way are you that old' for a while, to be recognized as older is a bit of a surprise."

"It's true, I wouldn't have guessed that you're my age." Rosethorn shrugs as well. "I suppose we shouldn't underestimate the gods here, even if they aren't ours. Have you been enjoying the festival?"

"Its very different from the celebrations at home." Although the knight pauses. "Granted, usually things are celebrations about winning a war, and I have to sit and look like a good knight."

Rosethorn nods. "Different from my home too, in a lot of ways, but temple dedicates get used to religious holidays." A grimace of sympathy is her immediate response to the latter part of Duke's statement. "It doesn't sound like much of a celebration for you. I never liked being the center of attention." She was very appreciative of the fact that her birthday was conveniently timed to be lost in the temple festivities.

"I'm ... not familiar with anything religious. There's nothing that really.. doesn't have other explanations." An awkward smile from Duke at that. The knight had a conversation about that recently. "The Commandant and the Council usually took the show, but apparently as one of the few who survived and stuck around, I get to be made a hero for the day, with the other captain."

[It might be hard to spot, but Paarthurnax also has a Jevel Charm. The bracelet is just attached to his horn, much like his shard.]

Drem. And how old are you, then?

[It's just a talking point, really. Paar doesn't seem like he's much surprised that Duke has one. Of course, he also comes from a world with elves, so...]

Around 38. Its a bit hard to keep track here, with... no seasons and all.

[ The knight is on the 39 side of 38 anyway. ]

Do I dare ask how far greater your lifespan is than ours?

[ Duke's asking an age, although with a bit of a smirk. He's going to beat almost everyone here, just a very vague feeling. ]

It is difficult to say. Dov do not truly know death. I have the... advantage over my kin to have not been forced into a brief death, thanks to choices of my own, so one may say I have been 'alive' the longest. [A rumble as he thinks.] Vir pogaan eruvos has nii kosaan ruzun tol sus kein...

Thousands of years, although the exact number, I could not say.

... So you are something that doesn't die unless someone takes a sword to you?

[ A wry smile. ]

So do we add more charms because you're way beyond the rest of us?

I do not die until my very sil- my soul- is taken from me. The souls of my kind do not have a realm where they may go, no Sovengarde or Daedric realm. They wait within the body, wait until a strong enough Thu'um may bring them back. My brother could do as such.

[Paarthurnax has never tried such a thing. It would be a lie to say he hadn't been tempted in his life. Isolation is a wretched thing. Still... He had known what bringing back his kin would do to the world.]

I would not know. The priestess seemed to believe that only one would be needed.

... Complicated, then. I'm only familiar with killing things dying like that.

[That earns a low chuckle.]

We are a complicated race. One could down us and take care to separate the pieces, which would keep us trapped in such a state... I knew of one who suffered such a thing.

[He pauses, clearly remembering something as he shakes his head and gives a low sigh.]

But that did not happen for him for many years. He forgot his own name before being permitted any reprieve in such a state.

[Just like with his shard charm, Paarthurnax has had someone tie his bracelet upon his good horn. It had been a bit of a trick for Serena to attach Jevel's charm but he'll be wandering about the festival with it there and giving a slight shake of his head now and then to make the charms click against one another.]

[This one certainly doesn't look it, but she's well past the 35 requirement. By more than a millenium.

Although, Anya appears a little insulted that someone apparently thinks she looks it.]

That's not the point. It's not as though everyone knows that about me, so there should be no reason for total strangers to go assuming I'm old.
