Day 121 : [Partially closed and open]
Who: New arrivals + Old survivors
Open: (Part 1) Closed / (Part 2) Open
When: Day 121
Where: The Scrap Yard
What: Something new has appeared on the Skyway, and a lot of somethings have crash landed there. A handful of transports that were taking the experiments from Vatheon to the mainland have suddenly been spat out in to the Scrap Yard and no longer work. Confused and an eventual mad dash for the safety of the Bastion ensue.
Format: Any
Warnings: Probably violence and maybe injury
[There was a place, another world where people from many, many, many other worlds had been pulled to against their will. Unwilling experiments for a group of scientists and forced to live years in a bubble beneath the sea, they were told not that long ago that their time as experiments was coming to an end. Naturally those experiments fought back, and at the end of it all they won their freedom. Some choose to stay on the Vatheon mainland and live out the rest of their lives with people they had come to meet and love. Others decided to return to their homes to resume the lives they had lost. Either choice, they had to return to the mainland first, before anything else could be done.
But something went wrong with some of the ones being taken there. All at once their transports would simply... stop. And and bright flash of white light preceded... something like a very violent shudder of the entire world that would knock those unfortunate souls unconscious.
When they woke, they would find they were no longer in the sea that surrounded the land and the once-occupied bubble. They were still in their transports, if not a little tossed around and banged up considering the machines had been tossed rather haphazardly on top of a pile of... well... scrap. Metal, parts, some alien some not, some old some not so much. Just. Scrap.
Scrap and several large devices holding confused, possibly injured people on top of it.
The doors will open if pushed, but the front consoles that ran the things won't turn on at all.
This is your new world, transplants.
Good luck.]

Part 1 : Closed to new arrivals
Needs help!
[ Anna didn't like that shudder.
And when she woke up, she didn't like the lack of Mikoto even more.
And the lights wouldn't turn on in this thing. That was wrong.
Anna looked about, and finds she's alone but for the case of clothing that Mikoto had let her have back once they were inside. And the door.... The door was out of reach.
Frowning, Anna took a shoe, and knocked on the wall with the heel. ]

She is very disappointed to be in a scrap heap, by the way. This is not where she thought she would end up.]
Figures. Of course their crap wouldn't work, they lied to us all the other times, they might as well lie about this too.
[She does notice that there are surprisingly few pods, though. Maybe everyone else got dumped somewhere else?
She also notices a small child having trouble with her door, and she stops being grumpy so she can hurry over and help her out.]
Are you alright?
no subject
Once the other girl helps her with the door, she puts her shoe back on and finds her bag. She pauses for a moment, and checks her pockets. Oh. One of her marbles chipped, no wonder that side was a little more achey than the rest. ]
... Did the coral do something stupid?
[ That has to be it. ]

Saix still hadn't figured out quite how to empathize with other people, but this didn't make him completely oblivious. Besides, when it came to his dog, he paid a bit more attention. It hadn't been hard to catch how the golden retriever had been excited just a second before, only to suddenly switch to his tail between his legs and pressing close against Saix. He had knelt down besides the dog to see if it was anything physical, when...
Well. There was a lot of light, and then a lot of darkness, leaving Saix to just cling to the two closest things on hand.
That was then.
In the now, it's the sudden burst of pain in his skull that wakes Saix up. He jolts forward with a hiss, hunching a bit while one hand goes to his head. There's a strange kind of loss accompanying the pain, something that makes him think of separation, but there's no time to ponder on it much now. Gritting his teeth, he peers up from between his fingers and beneath his hair. They're somewhere else now... The whimpering catches his attention and he looks to the side.
Awaking had meant his grip had loosened on the two things he had grabbed. On one side of him is a small suitcase. On the other, a golden retriever, curled up tight and nervously squeezing down on a light up starfish plush. When he notices Saix is awake, New Moon immediately presses up against him, still whimpering. "Good boy," Saix mutters, his other hand going to rest on the dog's head as he takes a deep breath. Something had happened to them, that much was obvious. Had the scientists had one last trick up their sleeve to ruin them? One thing's for certain- he can't think straight with his head in this much pain. Hadn't he had some painkillers?
Five minutes later and three popped painkillers later, and Saix forces open the door of his transport. Oh... He observes the strange area warily, fingers tightening around his suitcase and New Moon's leash. This isn't Vatheon. He tosses his suitcase down to the actual ground from atop this particular pile of scrap, just to free up a hand to wield Lunatic. He doesn't want to yell, but...
"Axel! Maka! Is there anyone else here?"
And now his head hurts worse. Fantastic.

This isn't the ocean. It isn't Vatheon, and it doesn't look like any place he's been to before. It just looks like a huge pile of junk, and nothing familiar in sight beyond it. The sky is strange. How did he get here? Is this even real?
The shout of a familiar voice snaps his focus around, though it's not as familiar a voice as he would have liked. "Saix?" His reply isn't particularly loud, but probably noticeable enough in the stillness. He gets to his feet, looking around, but not for the owner of the voice. Where is Axel? He should have been right by him. They were together before this happened, weren't they?
no subject
So it's a bit annoying to see just the keyblade wielder on his own. Still- they should all be close enough. Shouldn't they? Mismatched eyes focus on the blood in that blond hair. "How injured are you?" All business, as usual.

But then there was the light, and the sudden shaking. It didn't take much for N to instinctively grab on to Hilda, pulling her close in order to protect her from whatever might have been happen.
And then everything went black.
Waking found his head in incredible pain, and Zoroark out of his Pokeball which had fallen off his belt was licking at his cheek with a worried whine. His voice in N's head stirred him even further awake, but with it came a cry of pain as he curled in on himself, clutching at his head.
That only served to make Zoroark more worried, and he started nuzzling up underneath his friend, trying to get him to sit up so he could see if there was any injury to N.
There wasn't, but that didn't stop the absolute sharp stabbing pain in his head.]
I-I... I'm alright... Zoroark...
[A shaky hand reached out to touch the fox, rubbing an ear as much as he could. Ignoring the pain, he pulled himself back out from his curled up position, feeling a sudden panic grip his heart as all he could see was dim light and... something not the ocean beyond the windshield of the transport.
Where was Hilda... ?]
... Hilda? Hilda?!
no subject
It was only when she heard Zoroark and N that she left Hilda's side, moving hurriedly toward the two of them still in the remains of the transport vehicle. She knew she had to lead them to her injured trainer. ]
no subject
His frantic yelling for Hilda made Zoroark start to pull him towards the broken windshield, his words not completely understandable. The fox wasn't entirely sure what happened to Hilda or why she was leaking red stuff from her head, but all it took was a glance at the shattered window to tell N what he needed to know.
Lilil returning to the transport and crying out that Hilda wasn't moving made him move even faster, scrambling over the wreckage inside the transport to get out of it through the windshield with no mind paid to the shattered, jagged class that cut at his pant legs and skin.]
HILDA!
[He dropped out of the transport in a crouch before stumble-running the rest of the way towards her, lifting her as carefully as he could in to his arms and pressing a hand to the wound at her head. Zoroark and Lilil were at their side a moment later, worried whines and noises showing their concern for the other trainer.
N had never felt so frantic in his entire life. Fear was clutching at her his heart, forcing the unfamiliar sting of tears to his eyes. Whatever had happened, they were no longer with the other residents of Vatheon, and they were a very, very long way from home.
What would happen, if he were to lose her now... ?]
Hilda! Hilda, can you hear me? I... is there anyone out there?! Please, we need help!

Nanaki and Devit
Nanaki had decided to go looking over one of the piles of scrap to see if there were any other pods beyond the mountains of trash. Anyone want to go searching with her?]

Took him a few minutes to collect himself and shove that stuff off him. ]
THIS IS SUCH FUCKING BULLSHIT!

Part 2 : Open to new arrivals and current survivors
Re: Part 2 : Open to new arrivals and current survivors
[He'd set out with Paarthurnax earlier in the day, and he'd been grateful for the dragon's assistance. There were a lot more monsters out today than there had been in the past week, and the giant dragon was proving to be a good deterrence to getting attacked. The few monsters that had attempted bravery rather than prudence had not lasted long... At least so far.]
[He hadn't asked Paarth if he could ride on his back, but as the exhaustion set in, it was starting to get sorely tempting. Still, he was not at that point yet. He was quite content to keep walking, and keep surveying for anything, ANYTHING he could use in his rebuilding efforts.]
Hey... Paarthurnax. My scanner's registering a lot of metals and some life signs that don't seem to be Windbags or Peckers.
How're your eyes? Can you see anything worthwhile in that direction?
[He points off towards the scrap yard, all the while mentally adjusting his equipment to try and get better readings at this distance.]
no subject
[At Collin's words, Paarthurnax looks to where he is pointing. His long neck stretches and he stays silent for a moment.]
It is a new mass of land... Nii los ni riinur wah zey. I have not seen it before in my flights.
no subject
[Colin sighs, and squints.]
I wanna get over there. Something's agitating the monsters today. And I'm reading a LOT of metals and plastics that way. Maybe we've got a storage yard or something. It's worth checking out, I'd rather not come back with no salvage if we can help it.
He gives Paarthurnax a smile then.]
If you're agreeable, that is.

Roxas doesn't respond right away. The boy ahead of them... he doesn't seem like he means them any harm. Actually, he almost seems a little familiar. Hesitantly, Roxas raises his free hand and waves.]

This is why, after Nanaki goes to the next transport, Anna stays there. There was a little bit of clear space from the crashing and skidding, and she had to find out.
Anyone approaching this odd transport crash zone will see one small white haired girl, staring intently at something(s) shiny and red moving on the ground. ]
no subject
Led by Soul Perception, he traces through the rubble to find a partially-unearthed transport with a survivor inside. She seems none too worse for wear, intently fixated upon a tiny object moving before her. He quirks a brow at it, but really, he's seen far more unusual things in his time.]
Are you okay?
no subject
[ She had been going to look up, but she recognized the voice. She'd only talked to the man once, but she still remembered how he sounded.
The object she's looking at are a quartet of red glass marbles, spinning in a neat circle on the floor before her. ]
... and I hurt a little.

[ So she was cautious in approaching the hulking pile of scrap and parts that greeted her on the Skyway, but curious nonetheless. Compared to everything else she had seen so far, this looked particularly out of place. ]
[ She held out her bow defensively as she approached the rubble. ] Hey-- monster things! You're not sneaking up on me this time!
[ Of course, shouting wasn't going to give Viola any more of an edge over the monsters this time than it had before, but she reasoned that it was worth a try. ]

Viola, wait!
