Day 117 :: After the Core Hunt [open]
Who: everyone, get in here
Open: Open
When: late in the day on Day 117
Where: all around the Bastion
What: There is a new building in the Bastion, and all the buildings now have power
Format: action
Warnings: some of the PCs are a bit broken
[Once again, it was a difficult hunt for the core. Though there was less physical damage this time, the mental damage is very apparent: four residents of the Bastion come back in far worse shape than they left in, and many others are possibly affected as well.
But not all is bad. With the return of a core, new life springs into the Bastion. All around, lights flicker into existence. Light fixtures and electrical sockets spring out of walls and ceilings. Stoves change to become more modern, and refrigerators suddenly appear in all of the apartments.
There is now free, unlimited electricity in the Bastion.
In addition, a new building springs up on the southern side of the Bastion. This apartment building is eight stories tall, and contains both a laundry room and several three-bedroom apartments. While the first apartment building is by no means full, this gives everyone more places to choose to live.]

The Greedy Man shouted, "Who are you that would come to my house" and Aevar called back in turn-
"I am Aevar of the Skaal. I am not warrior, shaman, or elder. If I do not return, I will not be missed. But I have returned the Oceans and the Earth, the Trees, the Beasts, and the Sun, and I will return the Winds to my people, that we may feel the spirit of the All-Maker in our souls again."
With that said, Aevar used his quick and clever hands to snatch the bag of the Greedy man. When he tore it open, the Winds rushed out like in a storm and sweeped the Greedy Man up to take him very far away from the island of the Skaal. Aevar breathed in the Winds, and was glad. The All-Maker spoke to him one last time.
"You have done well, Aevar. You, the least of the Skaal, have returned my gifts to them. The Greedy Man is gone for now, and should not trouble your people again in your lifetime. Your All-Maker is pleased. Go now, and live according to your Nature."
So Aevar started the long journey back to his village.
[Paarthurnax rolls his neck a bit and falls silent, wings shifting.]

[It might also be, perhaps, more than a bit on purpose. His is the only voice that he's been able to hear which speaks his language, with all of the other dov having been silent for so many years.]

Greh, very good. Are you familiar with the rock by the riverside?

Magic in my world, it.... when you have energy, and the energy is used to change things, it makes disorder. Chaos.

[His large form starts to shift, talons working at the ground. When he's done, he moves back a bit so that the symbols he's made are clear. His talon-made marks are all lines and sharp corners, but hopefully the ideas are clear. A tree with half barren and half full leaves, a strange kind of upside down 'u', a kind of flame design, three 'circles' in one line, and a bird of sorts.]
Mages throughout the land know of five schools of magic. Many dedicate themselves to only one. Alteration, Conjuration, Destruction, Illusion, and Restoration... Those are the schools they know.

Witches learn all the magic, but each witch has something they're talented at. The tanuki, she has healing magic, but it's strange. Magic isn't supposted to heal.
Every witch has magic from their totem. Lady Medusa's w-were snakes.
And each witch has magic from their symbol. Lady Medusa used arrows.
