First Word :: Day 114
Who: Paarthurnax OR Aoi, and you!
Status: Open
When: Day 114, towards the 'evening'
Where: The Bastion
What: Two new arrivals make their way in. One of them is a cute teenage girl. The other is a giant dragon.
[Sometime towards the end of Day 114, a few people watching the Skyway might notice something very big making its way towards the Bastion. Big and airborne, for that matter. It's upon the Bastion in very little time, an enormous wyvern if you want to be technical and simply dragon if you don't. When it lands at the entrance to the Bastion, the earth shakes a bit and it lowers its head...]
[Huh, that sure is a cute teenage girl seated on its neck.]
[Anyone particularly close might be able to hear a brief exchange between the two of them.]
Now we part ways. They would react better to you, I believe. Zu'u fen pek het. I will wait here.
Guess so, huh... Okay! We'll meet up later, then!
[With that, the girl sets off to investigate while the dragon waits near the Skyway as he observes from a distance.]
[Who do you approach?]

Paarthurnax
She had to blink a few times, because that was definitely not something she ever thought to see, and when wrangling a second breeze didn't provide her with any more sights on the wind, she resettled her glasses, collected Chime, and went to see. ]
.... So are you what dragons ought to look like?
[ She's short, a bit fat, and that sure is a tiny dragon the size of a cat made of glass peering up with her. ]
no subject
It is how I have always been. [Something in his tone hints he is faintly amused by the question.] Many other of my kind are similar.
[He doesn't move his head very much, but it's clear he's not speaking to Tris with his next words.]
Dreh hi lost faal Thu'um?
no subject
My world didn't have dragons.
[ Probably a little unneccessarily, given her question.
Chime climbs atop Tris' braided hair, peering up.
Her reply is a mix of clinking chiming noises - like glass shards falling together. Its a very curious noise, at least. ]

You may be better for it. Before we continue further, however, introductions should be made. I am Paarthurnax.

The meister has never seen a dragon that big.]

[It's only when Crona is close enough that he finally decides to speak, deep voice rumbling forth.]
Drem yol lok, human. I mean no harm to you.
no subject
But Crona doesn't run, and then steps forward again. Scared, but hopeful.]
H-hello.

And a girl. But the dragon catches Bon's attention first.
He sort of just stands there staring for a moment, not sure what to do. But hey, they are new, he might as well say hello.
So he will approach the girl first, and then the dragon.]
Hello.

Unfortunately, Bon is not so great at talking with excitable people, so he might look a little frazzled by the end of this conversation.]
Er, sure, what do you need?

Drem yol lok. I saw that you were speaking to my companion.
Aoi
She kind of... could use more human friends, but she's still not entirely sure how to approach others most of the time, unless it's for something a bit more businesslike. Starting a conversation seems to be kind of a pain in the neck for her. So she awkwardly lingers in front of Aoi for a second.]
Hello. [Hm... she needs something to talk about. Actually, that was easy, so it didn't take long to think of one.] Have you just arrived?
no subject
Heheh, yeah... It's real obvious, huh? I'm still trying to find my way around... So you've been here a while?
no subject
Well... somewhat.
I've been here... well, not too long. Maybe a few weeks, I believe.

Though busy wasn't something she could really complain about either, since busy kept her out of trouble, and kept her more or less out of her own head, which was a bad place to be lately.
So the girl arriving wasn't all that surprising, but the dragon on the other hand...
Well, the heavy crate that Rin had been hauling from one place to the other when they arrived wasn't about to be in her arms much longer.
She had stopped dead in her tracks upon seeing him, staring with wide blue eyes up, up, up at him from where she stood. Her fingers went slack, and the wooden crate hit the ground with a dull thud. Nothing inside broke, thankfully, but it was going to be a pain to get all those jars to the Distillery one by one now.
Not that she cared because motherfucking dragon.]
Holy fuck...
no subject
[There's barely a twitch as the sound of the crate thudding goes through the air, just a blink if anything as Paarthurnax keeps a careful eye on the girl. Surprise and fear can often lead to attacks. Just because things have gone well doesn't mean he's going to let his guard up just yet.]
My apologies for startling you, yet I am afraid there is little I can do to change my appearance.
no subject
If anything her reaction is more of 'things I never thought I'd see' surprise, and it shows more when the corners of her mouth start to twitch up and she lets out a nervous sounding laugh.]
N-no that's okay! Just-- ... wow... wow. Y-you're like... a real live dragon, aren't you?

Clearly he has the best priorities.]
Good day to you.
[Yep. Just greeting a dragon as if it's the most normal thing in the world.]
[Some time later, he strategically crosses paths with the girl who had entered with the dragon so that she may initiate conversation if she wishes it. Yes, it's a bit odd that he'd start talking to a dragon himself but not a perfectly normal human, but he's a bit of an oddity himself.]

[Paarthurnax takes in and releases a deep breath through his nose as the man approaches. Ah. Not human, or, at least, not quite. Interesting. Still, he dips his head in a bow for politeness.]
Drem yol lok. I am Paarthurnax. What of you, sosnaak?

She shifts the strap holding a long, red bag over her shoulder and looks up at the dragon and its rider with a curious tilt of the head.]

Drem yol lok. My name is Paarthurnax. May I know your name?
[There's no reason to shirk on common courtesy, after all.]
