First Word :: Day 114

When: Day 114, towards the 'evening'
Where: The Bastion
What: Two new arrivals make their way in. One of them is a cute teenage girl. The other is a giant dragon.

[Sometime towards the end of Day 114, a few people watching the Skyway might notice something very big making its way towards the Bastion. Big and airborne, for that matter. It's upon the Bastion in very little time, an enormous wyvern if you want to be technical and simply dragon if you don't. When it lands at the entrance to the Bastion, the earth shakes a bit and it lowers its head...]

[Huh, that sure is a cute teenage girl seated on its neck.]

[Anyone particularly close might be able to hear a brief exchange between the two of them.]

Now we part ways. They would react better to you, I believe. Zu'u fen pek het. I will wait here.

Guess so, huh... Okay! We'll meet up later, then!

[With that, the girl sets off to investigate while the dragon waits near the Skyway as he observes from a distance.]

[Who do you approach?]

[It really says something about Alucard that when given the option of talking to the harmless-looking teenage girl or the dragon first, he doesn't spend more than a second weighing his options before opting to approach the dragon.

Clearly he has the best priorities.]

[Yep. Just greeting a dragon as if it's the most normal thing in the world.]



[Some time later, he strategically crosses paths with the girl who had entered with the dragon so that she may initiate conversation if she wishes it. Yes, it's a bit odd that he'd start talking to a dragon himself but not a perfectly normal human, but he's a bit of an oddity himself.]

[Clearly perfect priorities.]

[Paarthurnax takes in and releases a deep breath through his nose as the man approaches. Ah. Not human, or, at least, not quite. Interesting. Still, he dips his head in a bow for politeness.]

Drem yol lok. I am Paarthurnax. What of you, sosnaak?

[Paarthurnax smells quite a lot more like snow and ice than Alucard would have expected. He's not terribly sure what sosnaak means either, but given the tone and bow, he's just going to assume it was a polite term for vampire and give a small bow back.]

I am called Alucard. Have the others explained what this place is?

I have indeed spoken with a few who have passed me by. Now, I believe I understand... the basic of this strange place.

[More or less, at any rate.]

However, I am a curious creature by nature. If you would indulge me, I have other questions which I seek the answers to.

Koganii. [He shifts to make himself more comfortable.] In our journey to get to this place, we encountered flying beasts. When we forced them to retreat or perish, a few dropped strange stones in their place. Are you familiar with such things?

[And initiate conversation she does! When he passes by she's a little distracted by the scenery, but then she catches him in the corner of her eye and realizes oh! People! And she hustles over, waving and calling.]

Oh, good! Then I could use some help if you can. Y'see, I just showed up here...
