Day 90 - Open - Runog's Fire
Who: Tris, THE REST OF BASTION
Status: OPEN like that blue sky-
When: Day 90
Where: Out by the monument.
What: Tris takes personal insult from the weather, and wants to know if there are objections. She provides cookies to lure you in-
Format: Action
Warnings:Very unlikely to be needed.
That's it.
[ This is one Trisana Chandler, plump redhead with a bunch of braids all tied in a knot at the back of her head, glaring at the sky from behind her glasses. ]
I've had enough of you. You have absolutely no variation. There's wind here, there has to be some sort of system that can moved in, but nothing is changing!
[ Why yes, there is a reason she's scowling at the sky. In fact, its why there's a chair from the kitchen with a stacked plate of cookies on it. She is trying to lure people over with those, yes she is. ]
Does anyone object to me making a weather system? A couple days of sunny, a couple sort-of cloudy days, maybe a rainy day, then it'd clear up. I'd be using the river, but it shouldn't take much. Or, I guess I could mix that with pulling clouds in every ... twelve hours, or whatever you all them, to give us a light difference for when we go to sleep.

[ Well, this is an awkward conversation. But she isn't sparking yet, so clearly she isn't terribly bothered by it. Whatever it is acts quite a bit like a very rude boy and a child at the same time.
Its just a bit of awkward tone change between focusing on Ragnarok and the other. ]
Yes. My brother likes them a lot, so I learned how to make them.

[Ragnarok punches Crona in the head again, angry. Crona's head dips, embarrassment coloring pale cheeks with a blush that's dark gray rather than pink.
Time to change the subject away from immature, bullying weapons.]
I... Is your brother here?
no subject
[ Sorry, Crona, for discovering Tris' acid tongue second hand. She purses her lips a little at Ragnarok's behavior, but... ]
Yes. He's quite a bit younger than he ought to be, but he is. If you find someone flirting with the plants, that's him.
no subject
[Thin shoulders go up, hunched in a vain attempt at keeping Ragnarok from punching again.]
.... w-with the plants? That's strange, isn't it? People don't flirt with plants.
no subject
[ Tris just repeats that, and she doesn't put a hand to those thin braids tucked behind her ears because there's a glint of glass in the sky and a glass dragon is circling to land on her shoulder. ]
He isn't actually flirting, the way humans flirt to get kisses and company, but it sounds just about the same. He has magic with plants; he can talk to them and so his complements sound more like he's complementing people.
no subject
.... If... you ignore him, he'll get bored. He'll get bored and go away.
[And then the dragon lands. Crona's eyes go wide, fascinated, and the meister takes another step forward.
Dragons... Crona knows dragons. If Crona had been born a witch, Crona's totem animal would have been the dragon. (When Crona was small, Crona's mother had forced Crona to kill a dragon. That had been what broke that child for good).]
T-that little one, does it have a name?
no subject
[ Tris knows that tactic well. She's used that on people older than her.
The dragon stretches her neck out toward Crona, watching. ]
Chime. I was told something so beautiful couldn't be anything but a she, so that's what I use. I don't really think she cares either way.
no subject
Crona steps forward with careful movements, eyes fixed on the dragon.]
Chime.
H-hello, Chime. I'm Crona.
no subject
Clearly, by the way the dragon stretches a wing out, she expects some flattering for how pretty she is. ]
no subject
C-chime's really pretty. I... I've never seen a dragon like that.
no subject
As far as I'm aware, there aren't other dragons like her. A glass-mage didn't realize what he was doing, and his glass got up and flew about the room. Of course, my teacher was rather sure there was no such thing as dragons.
no subject
Some places don't have dragons.
no subject
[ A little tiny bit of pain. Tris has only one of three siblings here. ]
I'm fairly sure Chime will be happy to be dragon enough for this world.
no subject
Ragnarok has by now gotten tired of being ignored, and vanishes back into his meister's back. That is enough to get Crona back on the earlier subject of conversation.]
Um... the cookies. Why did you make them?
no subject
I have an idea involving that constant clear sky, and want to make sure no one would be terribly upset for changing it.
no subject
You can change the weather?
no subject
I don't do it often, because if you move or make weather out of nothing, you disturb everything about, but... there isn't anything about.
no subject
In Crona's world, magic is evil, with barely any exceptions. Chaos is evil, order is good, and magic is an input of energy into a system that did not originally contain it. Uncontrolled energy creates disorder, and chaos is evil.]
Y-y-y- [And Crona gets stuck on the first sound of "you're a witch" and can't manage to move forward.]
no subject
[ And there is the fear, even if Tris hasn't even done anything. It will come, eventually. Even if she avoids having anything to do with those Skyway expeditions. ]
no subject
A witch.
Crona had hoped there would be no witches here. No witches, no magic, no one to fear.
There is so much outside the Bastion to fear, there doesn't need to be anyone inside it too.]
W-why are you here?
no subject
[ The option she isn't thinking about. ]

[ She goes silent for a moment. ]
My only plan, back home, was to go to school so I could learn how to heal.
[ Healing didn't get people to make faces like Crona was making at her now. ]
I don't know how it works in your world, but in mine, there are lots of kinds of magic users. Some do that - they hurt people for power, or because they can. Because they were hurt and want to hurt others. I do my best to avoid those kinds.

no subject
[ Granted, magic also caused that plague. ]
Yes. Some people use magic to enslave others. Pirates, usually.
[ She still has occasional nightmares about what she did with those pirates. ]
