Day 90 - Open - Runog's Fire
Who: Tris, THE REST OF BASTION
Status: OPEN like that blue sky-
When: Day 90
Where: Out by the monument.
What: Tris takes personal insult from the weather, and wants to know if there are objections. She provides cookies to lure you in-
Format: Action
Warnings:Very unlikely to be needed.
That's it.
[ This is one Trisana Chandler, plump redhead with a bunch of braids all tied in a knot at the back of her head, glaring at the sky from behind her glasses. ]
I've had enough of you. You have absolutely no variation. There's wind here, there has to be some sort of system that can moved in, but nothing is changing!
[ Why yes, there is a reason she's scowling at the sky. In fact, its why there's a chair from the kitchen with a stacked plate of cookies on it. She is trying to lure people over with those, yes she is. ]
Does anyone object to me making a weather system? A couple days of sunny, a couple sort-of cloudy days, maybe a rainy day, then it'd clear up. I'd be using the river, but it shouldn't take much. Or, I guess I could mix that with pulling clouds in every ... twelve hours, or whatever you all them, to give us a light difference for when we go to sleep.

[...What kind of cookies are those, anyway? No matter what they are, he's taking a handful, but it'd be nice to know.]
I wouldn't mind, but you already know that.
[It'd make this place feel less like a greenhouse, and he's all for that. Greenhouses have their uses, but like Rosethorn, he doesn't like them that much. This would be easy enough for her to do too, so there's no worry there.
He pops one of the cookies into his mouth, chewing for a moment.]
I like the light difference idea.

[ Spice cookies, Briar. Even if no one else wanted them, she knew you would. ]
Give your plants a sense of rest, right? Even if the light wouldn't completely go away.
no subject
[It's just fun to see if she'll still spark at some things. She has changed at least a little.
Yes good, spice cookies...]
Some plants need shade, and some bloom at night too, you know. So far they all look and sound fine, but it's better to be safe.
[He likes spice cookies, sure. They're his favorite, but that's a lot of cookies.]
You didn't mean for me to eat all of these, right?
no subject
[ Because her other ways of getting attention wouldn't be terribly friendly. ]
I figure if there's food, I can at least talk at someone while they're eating.
no subject
[Who is/was still in Zenadia's place when he showed up here...He doesn't want her or any of the others to be dead.
Well...]
Before she was my student, anyway.
no subject
[ Before you went to the Living Circle temple and all that mess with that emperor. ]
no subject
Really? I don't remember...
[He'd been planning on doing that after he got her back from Zenadia's place. Best get her safe before writing any letters to the girls about her.]
no subject
[ Tris pauses, then looks at him again. ]
Do you want catching up?
no subject
[He'd already pulled the walls around the place down, but the actual house had still been more or less okay. Well, there was that cloud of dust right before he found himself here...]
I'm curious as to what happened on your end, Coppercurls. My stuff didn't happen for me so it's not that important.
[His nightmares have been about the people the mute killed instead of the war she's aware of...]

But now, Crona steps out of the shadows and takes cautious steps closer to the chair and the plate of cookies.]

Tris takes a step away from the chair, and leans against the monument. There, she's not going to touch you unless you really want it, shy someone. ]
They're called spice-cookies.
no subject
Hell yes I want some! Move it, idiot!
[Crona looks annoyed, but steps forward.]
Um. ... Ragnarok wants some.
no subject
[ If the black-magic thing had just popped out, she wouldn't have said that. But it is acting like a child, so Tris will treat it like a child. ]
You can have more if you like, if you can avoid losing them to... Ragnarok.
[ That's directed to the ... well, Tris will settle with human of the two. Tris will just avoid pronouns for now. ]
no subject
[Crona sighs.]
He doesn't know how to ask politely. ... did you make the cookies?
no subject
[ Well, this is an awkward conversation. But she isn't sparking yet, so clearly she isn't terribly bothered by it. Whatever it is acts quite a bit like a very rude boy and a child at the same time.
Its just a bit of awkward tone change between focusing on Ragnarok and the other. ]
Yes. My brother likes them a lot, so I learned how to make them.
no subject
[Ragnarok punches Crona in the head again, angry. Crona's head dips, embarrassment coloring pale cheeks with a blush that's dark gray rather than pink.
Time to change the subject away from immature, bullying weapons.]
I... Is your brother here?
no subject
[ Sorry, Crona, for discovering Tris' acid tongue second hand. She purses her lips a little at Ragnarok's behavior, but... ]
Yes. He's quite a bit younger than he ought to be, but he is. If you find someone flirting with the plants, that's him.
no subject
[Thin shoulders go up, hunched in a vain attempt at keeping Ragnarok from punching again.]
.... w-with the plants? That's strange, isn't it? People don't flirt with plants.

Spice cookies.

Is there some occasion I was unaware of?
[Sorry, he was a bit far away to hear the question when it was asked. He has good hearing, but in this form it's still well within the capability of humans.]
no subject
[ She's luring people out to talk their ears off. ]
I don't like this constant clear sky, and I can do something about it. A bit of a weather cycle - some sunny days, some cloudy days, a rainy day, repeat - or just some cloud cover on a generally accepted "half a day" amount. Or some combination, to give something like a day and night cycle. I just don't want to do it and upset everyone.
no subject
I can only speak for myself, but I too find the constant sunlight unsettling. [And the constant risk of a nasty sunburn is unpleasant as well.] At the very least, I would certainly be very appreciative of cloud cover at regular intervals.
[Does he... actually seem slightly happy about this entire idea? Yes, that might be a slight tinge of excitement you may be witnessing, Tris.]
no subject
[ Tris nods emphatically. ]
It can't be good for anything. I'm thinking... 10, 11 hours of cover? Maybe. It wouldn't be quite half, at least.
