Day 77:: Event - return home
Who: everyone and anyone
Open: Open
When: Day 77, late in the afternoon, after both groups have returned to the Bastion
Where: by the monument
What: With another core retrieved, it's time to choose what will be added to the Bastion. Also, other threads with NPCs will happen here.
Format: action
Warnings: none
[Even though today's mission was a success, it hardly felt like one. Marie had not been found, and two others- Shion and Nezumi- had gone missing during the mission. The NPCs by and large are upset at this turn of events: while finding a Core is good, losing people is not.
When everyone returns from the Skyway, the NPCs are gathered around the Monument, waiting for everyone there. After some time for discussions, Nathaniel steps forward.]
I know it's kinda hard to talk about now, but we gotta do something about this core right away. After we do that, we can worry about the others.
After working with the Bastion a bit, I think I figured out how it prioritizes what gets fixed and when. I don't have it completely done yet, but I managed to isolate three of the high-priority items, so we can choose which of the three to fix next.
One of the things is electricity. I know living without power hasn't been easy, so with this we can start automating a lot of our daily tasks like washing and stuff, which would free up a lot of time for exploring the Skyway.
Another thing we could do is get a hospital built. We haven't had much trouble with it yet, thankfully, but a hospital would be really handy for when someone gets hurt. Even without a doctor here, just having the supplies would be great.
The last thing we can do is get a ranch built. Since we've got chickens 'n cows now, a ranch might be a good idea, since it'll give 'em a place to live, and all the stuff for taking care of 'em will be right there. We won't have to go out hunting for food or other stuff for the animals then.
Any of the three would be a good addition to what we've got now, so I'll leave it up to you guys to decide what to do.
((OOC: There are two threads below: one for voting on which improvement to get, and one for talking to NPCs. Besides that, you can have your characters respond to the post itself to talk to each other about what to do.
the voting thread will be open for 24 hours. At that time, we'll be closing the voting thread and whichever upgrade has the most votes will be the one chosen.))

≪A "ranch" would have land associated with it?≫
[Because if there's one thing an Andalite needs, it's an open field.]
≪I have been able to find temporary means of acquiring nutrients, but my species requires open fields for grazing.≫
[Ax would rather not continue to barely get by when it comes to food requirements.]

Sighing tiredly, she drags a hand through her messy hair, wincing at the twinge of pain from where the Scumbag had gotten her with it's acidic sludge.
Right, she was going to have to take care of that later.]
He's right... a-and the next time we find a Core we can add somethin' else. I mean, there's more out there...

[ Again, just scratching the side of the head, then tugging once on long hair in irritation. Dammit, this is something the knight would rather not deal with. ]
I can't do anything for actual illnesses, but ... [ An awkward shrug. ]
Feeding everyone is fairly important. We can keep a spot penned off for the cows, so you don't have to share.
[ And move it every so often, so the grass can grow and they keep healthy cows and what-not.
Also Duke sees that tug of pain. Rin, do you want healing? ]

I agree. Trained doctors were rather difficult to find outside of cities in my world - and hospitals even moreso - but humanity lived on regardless. Given that we have some measure of magic for healing, I believe keeping everyone properly fed is a higher priority than medical supplies at the moment.
[He's aware that he probably sounds a bit unconcerned with the plight of the man that arrived injured or any that might become injured, but a community cannot survive forever on what they currently eat, and they have someone with special dietary needs among them. If anyone wants to hate him for this decision, fine. At least then they'd dislike him for who and not what he is.]

Quietly, she got up and left, saying nothing to anyone. She would talk to Nathaniel, and find somewhere to think for a while after that.]
