[Day 205] It's the end of the world, get drunk
Who: Georges and anyone about
Open: Open
When: 205 sometime in the afternoon
Where: Around the Monument
What: The Cael way of celebrating everyone not dying involves booze, so drink up! (Fun fact: the Cael way of mourning may also involve booze.)
Format: Any
Warnings: Drunken shenanigans, likely. Also feel free to treat this like a mingle thread and not just talking to Georges! (Although he'll try to chat with everyone if he can)
So, just to double check: A cure has been found? Everyone's recovered? No one's dead? It's safe to leave the house now? Excellent.
With this fact well known, one can find Georges starting off his morning not hanging about the bar (as is his custom as the only bartender in the Bastion) but in fact setting up something in front of the Monument. Tables, chairs, some blankets to sit on when those inevitably run out... There's also something of a makeshift bar area, a variety of liquor in fascinating bottles set up along with some glasses.
Everything is all finished up around the afternoon, and Georges goes behind his little makeshift table-bar to cup his hands around his mouth so he can yell-
"DRINKS ON THE HOUSE!"
...What do you mean he technically never makes anyone pay for booze at the end of the world? Just come up and have a drink, Georges will be happy to recommend something. Or maybe bother someone else having a drink?

[It's just a preference.]

[Raile held up his bottle to his large friend, something of Cael tradition. It wasn't unusual to swap drinks with a friend, just a way of passing around the fun and getting a taste for new things.]
Trade?
no subject
Might as well.
[They're both half-gone, pretty much. So it's a good time to switch.]

Good stuff, nice pick.

[He relaxes a little, or tries to. ... There's suddenly a tiny Pokemon on his head looking down at Raile.]
Floette!
[She swoops down, trying to fix his hair. Stay still, child. Mama Floette is here.]
no subject
Uh...a friend o'yers?
no subject
Floette and I have known each other... well. My mother gave her to me when I was young and she was freshly caught. We were together for many years, before spending... quite a long time apart. We were reunited just before the Calamity.

[Just be careful up there Floette, you wouldn't be the first thing to get tangled up in that mess and he didn't fancy having to get an impromptu cut.]
What exactly is she?
[No one's given him the PokeTalk yet, so Raile has no idea.]

Floette is a Pokemon. They're creatures native to my world, and the world of a few others here. Some people train them for battles, some people breed them, and some people work alongside them.
They grow and change depending on how much experience they get or sometimes with the aid of special stones or devices. Floette was once a Flabébé. She could evolve to a Florges if I had a Shiny Stone, but I like her the way she is and she does, too.
Her evolutionary line always carries a flower - or in the case of Florges, has partially merged with a flower. The flower Floette carries - my Floette, that is - is of a flower species that no longer exists in my world. Her markings are a different color than modern Floette, too.

So...these Pokermans are yer friends.
[He didn't know what all this "Evolution" stuff was, but he'd reach out a hand and try to give Floette a few gentle pats on the head in thanks for trying to straighten his hair out. A worthy effort, but not even a knifebark comb would get those knots out.]

They are. I have a few others from home... and then Eevee was born here. We've gathered a fair few eggs and Pokemon from the Skyway. The ones who haven't found tr - people to go with live at the house with the fenced-in yard. Most of us from that world live there, too.

[Well, he seemed interested enough in Floette, so maybe it wouldn't be so bad to go get a feel for some of the other Pokemon that were here now that they were.]
Maybe I'll go give the place a look.

[Golurk has gotten good about breaking up fights. It's nice not to have to worry about it.]

[Sounds like a watered down version of the Wilds, but hey, at least it was something to do in between work and booze.]
