[Day 205] It's the end of the world, get drunk
Who: Georges and anyone about
Open: Open
When: 205 sometime in the afternoon
Where: Around the Monument
What: The Cael way of celebrating everyone not dying involves booze, so drink up! (Fun fact: the Cael way of mourning may also involve booze.)
Format: Any
Warnings: Drunken shenanigans, likely. Also feel free to treat this like a mingle thread and not just talking to Georges! (Although he'll try to chat with everyone if he can)
So, just to double check: A cure has been found? Everyone's recovered? No one's dead? It's safe to leave the house now? Excellent.
With this fact well known, one can find Georges starting off his morning not hanging about the bar (as is his custom as the only bartender in the Bastion) but in fact setting up something in front of the Monument. Tables, chairs, some blankets to sit on when those inevitably run out... There's also something of a makeshift bar area, a variety of liquor in fascinating bottles set up along with some glasses.
Everything is all finished up around the afternoon, and Georges goes behind his little makeshift table-bar to cup his hands around his mouth so he can yell-
"DRINKS ON THE HOUSE!"
...What do you mean he technically never makes anyone pay for booze at the end of the world? Just come up and have a drink, Georges will be happy to recommend something. Or maybe bother someone else having a drink?

Re: Open to All!
Ippo! Are you alright?
[Good thing this is a fake table bar, so Georges can just duck under it instead of having to vault it. Might damage precious, precious booze that way.]

I'm fine Georges, a little roughed up, but I'll live. At the very least I feel a little clearer in the head than I did before. Have you been holding up okay?
no subject
[Georges doesn't look so much himself, but he'll let it go for now. Plenty of other people who'll fuss and yell at the guy, probably. He'll grab a bottle of Hearty Punch, glass still hot in his palms, and hand it over. Yeah, just, have the whole bottle, Ippo. You look like you need it.]
Just managed to avoid something pretty nasty, actually. Nate and a group went to go get a radio tower for one of his projects, but it brought back something nasty and ended up spreading. Thanks to that Ura fella, Zahi, we managed to get by alright 'tho.
no subject
Ahhhhh~ Thanks for that! I'm glad to hear everyone pulled through okay...but honestly, everyone here is pretty amazing, so I'm not surprised.
[With all the bright minds they had to pull together, Ippo was confident that now more than ever, they could accomplish anything.]

[Let him just... shuffle back underneath the table to his spot, then.]
Although sounds like the group that went to get the cure ran into a bit of trouble.

[Ippo took another swig of the alcohol, but kept his gaze on Georges. What kind of trouble could they have gotten tossed into this time? If someone was bringing it up...well that just couldn't be good at all.]
no subject
[Georges' face sinks into a worried expression once again as he rests his elbows on the table surface.]
Apparently they got attacked. Ahime- the blonde lady, the one who helped drag off Kelly when we learned about the Calamity? I hear she got hurt real bad.

[Ippo's grip tightened on the neck of the bottle so hard there was the sound of crunching glass, and the boy was off in such a panic that all that was left behind was a knocked over stool, a bottle of hearty punch now missing its neck, and a few drops of blood. Ippo had to get to the hospital and fast!]
no subject
Ippo, hold on!
no subject
What? I gotta get to where Ahime is right away! If there's anything I can do to help...I owe her that much!
no subject
She's already being taken care of, trust me! Unless you have medical expertise and you never told anybody.
no subject
[He knew what he wanted to do...but Georges was right in all of this. Him going flying into the hospital was probably the worst thing he could do; he was a boxer, not a doctor, he'd just be in the way. He stopped jogging and let his shoulders slump, looking rather helpless for someone of his stature.]
Well...is it still possible for her to have visitors? I'd like to at least see her...
no subject
Besides, I... think you could use the trip there yourself.
[Just gonna. Point at your bleeding hands there.]
no subject
Sorry...I kinda got ahead of myself there. Thanks for reeling me in, I appreciate it.
[He might look more imposing now than he did when you first met the wee lad, but he still was the same old Ippo he'd always been. Some things truly never did change.]
no subject
I'll just make you pay for the bottle you broke later, heh!
[That's probably a joke, judging by the way Georges is smiling. Probably.]
no subject
[Joke or not...he was probably going to pay you back some way or another Georges, such is the way of Ippo. And with that, he was off again to the hospital, now much calmer rather than taking off like a rocket.]
