Let the Festival Begin [Day 143 | Day 144]

Who: EVERYONE
Open: Open
When: Day 143 & 144
Where: All over the Bastion
What: The first two days of the Harvest Festival
Format Any
Warnings: None

For the past week or so, it may feel like to some that the Bastion is gearing up for something. And not anything bad, either. Something good and oh so needed. It's not just the people, the Caels and the Ura that are aware of what the coming days would mean if the world was still intact. It's like the very Bastion itself has suddenly gained new life, and there's a power over it that's greater than any person, creature or Core.

Anyone who is still awake as dawn breaks over the Bastion may find themselves inexplicably tired for no reason at all, and unable to give in to an intense need to close their eyes, just for a moment.

When everyone wakes, and I do mean everyone, the Bastion will be transformed. Decorations, lights strung across every angle, wreaths, tables with colorful cloths over them, streamers and banners and so much stuff just seemingly out of nowhere! The entire Bastion, suddenly a vibrant, beautiful place for a celebration. And not just any celebration.

The Harvest Festival!

[A small huff.] The Tazal Terminals were plenty cold, so I'm quite adjusted to that.

Perhaps another time I'll feel ridiculous enough to try, but certainly not right now.

Haha, I'll see you in that pit before the week's done! I'm positive! Like, a hundred percent! [There's a determined glint in her eye that's almost scary.]

Mhmmm, the Tazal Terminals, huh? Tell me about 'em! Besides that they're cold enough to keep you from getting soft.

...I'm no worried.

[He might get in just to avoid having to deal with her now.]

Well, they're the home of the Ura- my people. We were here before the city of Caelondia was made, as a matter of fact, although the Tazal Terminals are far off to the East. You'd have difficulty making your way there even before the Calamity- most of it was underground.

Oh, so you were from near here! [Right, sometimes she forgets that this was an actual place once, and not just a space that came to be for all the wanderers without a world to go back to.]

Are there more people from there here? Ura, right? There's a girl here who looks like she could be your cousin or something... And, uhh... Oh! The two people who came back from that one mission—"Ura," that might have been it? [Her face scrunches up as she tries as hard as she can to remember something that just isn't coming—names, from whom in passing she heard the word from or if it was something else entirely; something like that.]

[This isn't Traverse Town, Aoi, different canon]

Ah... Are you talking about Zia? [The two of them had used the cover of 'cousins' in Caelondia...] She's the one with flower pins in her hair. Anna and her father Stuart are both Ura, although Anna was raised in Caelondia. I imagine you're talking about Zanya and her father for that mission.

[SHE'S TRYING HER BEST, OKAY]

M...maaaaybe? I'm no good with names... I remember the girl with flower pins, buuuuut...

[She purses her lips in a look of intense concentration, trying to match names to faces. Anna is almost definitely the little girl, but there are too many men she doesn't know well for her to match any of them to the name Stuart—or Zahi, for that matter. But she...might know who Zanya is? Maybe? No, probably not.

Jeez, she's hopeless.

Instead, she tries focusing on other features.
]

Oh! Are the rest of them wearing red, too?

[It's her favorite color, so she took notice when she passed by flower-pins-girl (Zia? Zia), Anna (probably?), Zulf here in front of her, and a few others and saw bright new armband accessories.]

[That makes him pause, his hand going up to his throat where the red string tie is. A more somber look passes over his face.]

...Some of them might be. I wouldn't be surprised. It's... an Ura tradition. It has to do with the fact that this is Micia's festival, overall.
