Let the Festival Begin [Day 143 | Day 144]
Who: EVERYONE
Open: Open
When: Day 143 & 144
Where: All over the Bastion
What: The first two days of the Harvest Festival
Format Any
Warnings: None
For the past week or so, it may feel like to some that the Bastion is gearing up for something. And not anything bad, either. Something good and oh so needed. It's not just the people, the Caels and the Ura that are aware of what the coming days would mean if the world was still intact. It's like the very Bastion itself has suddenly gained new life, and there's a power over it that's greater than any person, creature or Core.
Anyone who is still awake as dawn breaks over the Bastion may find themselves inexplicably tired for no reason at all, and unable to give in to an intense need to close their eyes, just for a moment.
When everyone wakes, and I do mean everyone, the Bastion will be transformed. Decorations, lights strung across every angle, wreaths, tables with colorful cloths over them, streamers and banners and so much stuff just seemingly out of nowhere! The entire Bastion, suddenly a vibrant, beautiful place for a celebration. And not just any celebration.

[He's the smuggest thing since smug came to Smug-town]

[That's it. She just throws her hands up and goes to check on the crust.
Nope, not gonna do this anymore Colin.]

[There's another smirk, and he goes back to his spot on the wall.]

[Back to square one.]

[Teasing is all well and good, but they've got a job to do. Time to serious the heck up.]

[No mockery there, he's quite serious. When he's following someone else's orders, he can show subordinance with ease. Colin moves to the counter with her, and looks over the ingredients. He ponders their placement on the sandwich, and awaits the presentation of the crusts.]

Alright... what've we got for this?

Mammoth steaks, Paarth's staple meat. If we're doing a sandwich, I figure start with what he knows.
Roast turkey, all purpose dinner fowl, I figured we couldn't go wrong.
Pulled pork, barbeque flavor that Paarth seemed to enjoy.
Lettuce, tomatoes, and several whole onions. I'm not sure which veggies go with which meats, so I just grabbed the big three for sandwich fixings.
Two blocks of cheese, one mammoth-type that I don't know the name of, one cheddar. Cheese and meat go together.
And for spreads... I brought mustard and barbeque sauce, and we should have a little gravy somewhere.
[He sounds a little uncertain about what he's brought. He doesn't eat meat often, and macro-scale sandwiches aren't something he usually prepares.]

The meat should be fun, actually. I know some carnivores who'd kill for a sandwich like this.

I don't think I've ever met a... carnivore- that's a meat eater, right? that would want a sandwich. At least not any from the demon world.
no subject
And that's their loss, really. About the only thing that could make this better for a pure carnivore would be organ meat. .... For nutrition, not sure at all about taste.

I've never had any luck with organs. I tried a liver pate once and it just came out awful. I don't get how people can eat that shit, honestly...
