Let the Festival Begin [Day 143 | Day 144]

For the past week or so, it may feel like to some that the Bastion is gearing up for something. And not anything bad, either. Something good and oh so needed. It's not just the people, the Caels and the Ura that are aware of what the coming days would mean if the world was still intact. It's like the very Bastion itself has suddenly gained new life, and there's a power over it that's greater than any person, creature or Core.

Anyone who is still awake as dawn breaks over the Bastion may find themselves inexplicably tired for no reason at all, and unable to give in to an intense need to close their eyes, just for a moment.

When everyone wakes, and I do mean everyone, the Bastion will be transformed. Decorations, lights strung across every angle, wreaths, tables with colorful cloths over them, streamers and banners and so much stuff just seemingly out of nowhere! The entire Bastion, suddenly a vibrant, beautiful place for a celebration. And not just any celebration.

[Well, only way to find out! Saix takes Roxas' hand and tugs him through.]

[Hey, that's his hand. In Saix's hand. Oh never mind we're going through. But wait...]

This isn't our apartment...

[Although at least it looks to be an apartment. Complete with--]

Pillows!

[croceamors]

I thought it was yours. Because. It's not mine.

[Oh well, that doesn't matter because yes! Pillows! Mission accomplished, good job team. With more wobbling, Saix reaches over to grab some.]

Got one.

It's not mine either.

[Wait, we already established that. But yeah who cares, pillows. Roxas grabs one and thwacks Saix with it.]

[croceamors]

Grk-

[Clever boy, going for a sudden attack. That makes Saix falls back a bit, flailing. He nearly kicks him just out of instinct before thankfully remembering what they're supposed to do. So, just... grabbing a pillow and flinging it at Roxas' head.]

[coolerthansora]

Oof!

[His ability to dodge or even realize he should dodge seems somewhat lessened. He shakes his head and hoists his pillow up for an overhand blow!]

[croceamors]

[Right in the head, earning an awkward noise while Saix just goes for the random swinging approach.]

[coolerthansora]

[Random swinging seems just as effective. Roxas takes a pillow to the stomach and stumbles back against the couch from which they stole them, almost falling over.]

[croceamors]

[Roxas has more grace than Saix right now, who does fall over the couch when he tries to follow after. Oh fuck.]

[coolerthansora]

[Roxas soon joins him, trying to swing at him again while still unbalanced and unfortunately following the momentum of the pillow.]

[Hopefully whoever owns this apartment doesn't come back soon, because these two are embarrassments right now. Saix tries to hit him but instead just kind of ends up halfway off the couch.]

[This is such a failure of a pillow fight, but it might at least have that "falling on each other" component if Roxas's next wallop succeeds in knocking Saix the rest of the way off the couch. And then. falling.]

[It's honestly an embarrassment of a pillow fight, but at least they're... having fun??? Considering they're intoxicated, 'tho, probably anything is fun.]

[Saix's legs go kicking a bit, and he gives a grunt as Roxas comes tumbling down on top of him. His own pillow smacks against the back of Roxas' head weakly before Saix stops moving.]

Still not sexy... I think.

[Roxas manages to push himself up a little bit, enough to look at Saix and consider this.]

Mmm, no.

But maybe if one of us was Axel.

[croceamors]

But Axel cheats. Because of those hips.

[How are the hips cheating? Because they're there.]

But... your hair is nearly spiky enough. Like his. And mine's long enough...

They're- they are really nice hips.

[Okay. We have spiky hair and long hair, but these hairs combined...]

Yellow and blue don't make red.

They are.

[But wait... They've run into a problem.]

No. That's green. You make red out of... red.

Green goes with red... Like Christmas.

Is that good enough?

Doesn't that just mean... we go with Axel?

We'd need to find Axel.

[coolerthansora]

Good idea.

[Oh. That probably means he should get off of you.

The quickest and easiest way to do that seems to be to roll sideways so they're both lying on the floor.]

[croceamors]

[They are such elegant drunks.]

Where do you think we'll find him?

Maybe he's at the party. Lots of people were there. And ice cream.

[Because let's face it, Axel is more likely to be drawn in by the ice cream.]

He does like ice cream. We should go there- again. Keep the pillow. It might be important.
