For the past week or so, it may feel like to some that the Bastion is gearing up for something. And not anything bad, either. Something good and oh so needed. It's not just the people, the Caels and the Ura that are aware of what the coming days would mean if the world was still intact. It's like the very Bastion itself has suddenly gained new life, and there's a power over it that's greater than any person, creature or Core.

Anyone who is still awake as dawn breaks over the Bastion may find themselves inexplicably tired for no reason at all, and unable to give in to an intense need to close their eyes, just for a moment.

When everyone wakes, and I do mean everyone, the Bastion will be transformed. Decorations, lights strung across every angle, wreaths, tables with colorful cloths over them, streamers and banners and so much stuff just seemingly out of nowhere! The entire Bastion, suddenly a vibrant, beautiful place for a celebration. And not just any celebration.

Are you serious? [He scoffs and as he leans back a grin creeps onto Axel's face.] Since when are you so competitive?

...I don't like having such a ridiculous weakpoint. It's pathetic.

So long as you're not drinking before you fight, then, hey, it's not really a bad thing, is it?

And if I'm drinking but unexpectedly get involved in a fight?

[He thinks for a moment... Hm. This is an issue, isn't it.]

Then there's always the option of running away, I guess.

[Saix stops himself with a frown and a furrow of his eyebrows.]

...Nevermind. I don't want to start a fight.

[Tend to--? He wants to ask... but figures that starting an argument over something so dumb would be a terrible idea, especially when they're supposed to be having fun. So he lets the topic go and starts to absently swish the liquid around inside of the bottle he's holding.]

... Well, at least you're getting better at that.

I am trying.. At least with you. It's easiest to remember then.

[The two of them have such a history together, after all. It makes Saix remember a lot of things, especially now that he's tentatively letting himself.]

[... Oh. He blinks at that then with a small grin and a laugh looks away.]

[...Why do you never make any sense, Axel?]

What was cute?

[Because he's Axel]

What you just said, obviously.

[... And now he's gonna try and take a taste of this stuff--AUGH.]

Yikes. That's... different.

[Of course. Abandoning the dice, Saix comes over closer and tilts his head to the side.]

What are you trying, then?

[The bottle in his hand gets a very nasty glare from Axel before he holds it out to Saix. He supposes he should have expected such a weird taste from something called "Doomshine."]

Ugh. Whatever the hell this is.

[That sure is a slow eyebrow raise.]

Why would you choose something named that?

[He gives Saix a very displeased look at that.]

What's it to you? I can drink whatever I want, thank you very much.

You always do what you want, that's no surprise. I can still judge your bad decisions.

[Huff! Axel places both hands on his hips at that.]

Judge all you want. Won't change a thing.

[... Reaching for that bottle again. He'll show you.]

Now gimme that back.

[Just holding it away from him.]

Do you plan on getting ridiculously drunk on it?

[He pouts.]

So what if I am?

Do you even remember what we did the last time we got drunk together?

[Saix sure doesn't. And yes, he knows they're not drinking together ~~that'll come later on his own and with Roxas~~, but still.]
