Let the Festival Begin [Day 143 | Day 144]
Who: EVERYONE
Open: Open
When: Day 143 & 144
Where: All over the Bastion
What: The first two days of the Harvest Festival
Format Any
Warnings: None
For the past week or so, it may feel like to some that the Bastion is gearing up for something. And not anything bad, either. Something good and oh so needed. It's not just the people, the Caels and the Ura that are aware of what the coming days would mean if the world was still intact. It's like the very Bastion itself has suddenly gained new life, and there's a power over it that's greater than any person, creature or Core.
Anyone who is still awake as dawn breaks over the Bastion may find themselves inexplicably tired for no reason at all, and unable to give in to an intense need to close their eyes, just for a moment.
When everyone wakes, and I do mean everyone, the Bastion will be transformed. Decorations, lights strung across every angle, wreaths, tables with colorful cloths over them, streamers and banners and so much stuff just seemingly out of nowhere! The entire Bastion, suddenly a vibrant, beautiful place for a celebration. And not just any celebration.

[He should probably change this conversation.]
Ah, have you tried any of the drinks yet? Caelondia has quite a reputation for them, apparently.

Oh, uhm. I sniffed a couple but the alcohol was pretty strong in 'em. I figure if I'm gonna go up against Pyth again later I should probably not be plastered off my ass.

There's actually some food I'm not familiar with on here... I assume it's from your home?

[Yeaaah she's sort of already planning on having something after the day winds down.]
Uhm, some of it's familiar. I think there's some Western and Eastern food in here, but I really only know Japanese and some American. Like uhm...
[Oh hey those are some sushi rolls in there. There was just so much food she didn't see them at first.]
Here! This is Japanese!

What is it?
[Zulf has never really had fish, you see, not particularly often and not like this.]

It's that one, the brown sauce.

[Okay... He picks one at random, some salmon, and lightly dips it in before awkwardly taking a bite out of it. A few chews, and he blinks. Excuse him, need to swallow first-]
That's rather good.

See? Fish is really, really popular where I'm from. A good fish is just so delicious!
[Don't mind her snagging one for herself.]

[Necessity and all that, not that Rin knows the word.]

[She smiled wistfully, nudging another roll with her finger]
I used to make bento-- little boxed lunches for my sister, so she didn't have to stand in line at the cheap food stall every day. I'd put rice and sashimi and all sorts of other stuff in it and her box would always be empty when she got home...

Perhaps after the festival is over, we can see about that.

I'd really like that!
