For the past week or so, it may feel like to some that the Bastion is gearing up for something. And not anything bad, either. Something good and oh so needed. It's not just the people, the Caels and the Ura that are aware of what the coming days would mean if the world was still intact. It's like the very Bastion itself has suddenly gained new life, and there's a power over it that's greater than any person, creature or Core.

Anyone who is still awake as dawn breaks over the Bastion may find themselves inexplicably tired for no reason at all, and unable to give in to an intense need to close their eyes, just for a moment.

When everyone wakes, and I do mean everyone, the Bastion will be transformed. Decorations, lights strung across every angle, wreaths, tables with colorful cloths over them, streamers and banners and so much stuff just seemingly out of nowhere! The entire Bastion, suddenly a vibrant, beautiful place for a celebration. And not just any celebration.

"Ragnarok." This is probably one of the few times Paarthurnax addresses the weapon. Usually, it's him and Crona who have the most conversations, it seems. "Why do you not listen to Crona, then?"

[blackblooded]

Ragnarok isn't exactly the easiest to talk to. When conversations don't involve him, things that directly benefit him, food, or opportunities to kill someone, his attention span is practically nonexistent.

"Why the hell should I listen to this moron, huh?"

"... I'm your partner. We're supposed to listen to each other."

[wayofvoice]

"Do you not think it would be easier for both of you if you did so? Crona is correct, after all. A partnership is equal."

[blackblooded]

"Tch, after all I do for this kid? Crona wouldn't even be alive if it weren't for me!"

[wayofvoice]

"Would you not have a place to be if it were not for Crona?"

[blackblooded]

Crona flinches, curling slightly inwards. Ragnarok punches his meister in the head.

"A demon sword like me? Hell no! Lady Medusa was gonna give me a meister no matter what. This idiot was just easy to get!"

[wayofvoice]

That little display of violence earns a hard snuff of breath from Paarthurnax's nostrils, right at Rangarok. Stop that, don't make him somehow put you in time out. "You sound certain of this."

[blackblooded]

Another punch. Another flinch from Crona.

"Of course I'm certain!"

[wayofvoice]

"Why do you hit Crona everytime you speak?"

[blackblooded]

Because Crona wasn't supposed to break completely. Because Crona was supposed to bend under the abuse, twist into something that viewed the world exactly as Medusa intended.

Instead, Crona's mind and soul snapped clean in half.

"Why the hell wouldn't I?"

[wayofvoice]

"Ah, but I asked first, graarvokun." Paarthurnax pulls his head back somewhat as if to inspect him. "Do you not know?"

[blackblooded]

"Cause I can, moron!"

Ragnarok doesn't even have to punch Crona in the head this time for the meister to flinch.

[wayofvoice]

"You are also capable of not doing so to your partner, are you not?"

[blackblooded]

"So what? I feel like hitting Crona, and you can't stop me!"

[wayofvoice]

"I have not tried." He gives a thoughtful rumble. "I suppose it could be done, but Vokunsumah must put away the bag. I would not want my student go hold such a thing for much longer."

[blackblooded]

Crona shifts awkwardly, trying not to let the bag drop. Ragnarok (surprise, surprise) punches his meister in the head.

"Let's go! If you drop that I'll break your nose! Twice!"

[wayofvoice]

"You have a very stubborn partner, Vokunsumah. I hope that you find some manner to enjoy this time despite him."

[blackblooded]

"It's fine. I'm more stubborn."

"Yeah, a stubborn loser!"

[wayofvoice]

"Good. Bring as much to him as he does to you, then."
