Let the Festival Begin [Day 143 | Day 144]
Who: EVERYONE
Open: Open
When: Day 143 & 144
Where: All over the Bastion
What: The first two days of the Harvest Festival
Format Any
Warnings: None
For the past week or so, it may feel like to some that the Bastion is gearing up for something. And not anything bad, either. Something good and oh so needed. It's not just the people, the Caels and the Ura that are aware of what the coming days would mean if the world was still intact. It's like the very Bastion itself has suddenly gained new life, and there's a power over it that's greater than any person, creature or Core.
Anyone who is still awake as dawn breaks over the Bastion may find themselves inexplicably tired for no reason at all, and unable to give in to an intense need to close their eyes, just for a moment.
When everyone wakes, and I do mean everyone, the Bastion will be transformed. Decorations, lights strung across every angle, wreaths, tables with colorful cloths over them, streamers and banners and so much stuff just seemingly out of nowhere! The entire Bastion, suddenly a vibrant, beautiful place for a celebration. And not just any celebration.

As she IS one of the older ones, though, she's going to take Rin's stance and also help the younger ones out if they come to ask her for help, too. In the meantime, she's looking around for any sign of these gears. ]

[That sure is a curious dragon glancing by at all the commotion, curled up after eating a great deal.]

fuckin'dragon. ]Gears! It's a game they have for the kids here. I'm not too terribly young, but they're letting me participate anyway ...

If I lifted you up upon my neck, would this aid in your search?

[ But then again, she really doesn't know what old looks like in Dragon Culture. ]
I don't know ... I assume they're hiding under things. It's worth a try, though!

[Mostly tattered wings and more old scars than you can shake a stick at. Paarthurnax has had to weather some tough times, but he's fine with that. At her agreement, he lowers his head so that she can seat herself just right behind it- better hold there since that's where his horns are. She won't slide down his long neck so long as she holds onto those.]
Then come.

[ She does as he asks her to, climbing up onto his head and taking hold of his horns. This is exciting! She is rarely ever up this high! ]

[With that, he starts to adjust himself. First it's to rest on his haunches, and then his wings are used to proper himself up so that he sits straight enough. Then his long neck carries Polka up and up until she can easily look over some of the smaller buildings.]

I think I see a few of them!
