For the past week or so, it may feel like to some that the Bastion is gearing up for something. And not anything bad, either. Something good and oh so needed. It's not just the people, the Caels and the Ura that are aware of what the coming days would mean if the world was still intact. It's like the very Bastion itself has suddenly gained new life, and there's a power over it that's greater than any person, creature or Core.

Anyone who is still awake as dawn breaks over the Bastion may find themselves inexplicably tired for no reason at all, and unable to give in to an intense need to close their eyes, just for a moment.

When everyone wakes, and I do mean everyone, the Bastion will be transformed. Decorations, lights strung across every angle, wreaths, tables with colorful cloths over them, streamers and banners and so much stuff just seemingly out of nowhere! The entire Bastion, suddenly a vibrant, beautiful place for a celebration. And not just any celebration.

Were I at home, I would have my hands full with a piano, entertaining the masses. I enjoy attention, but conversely I am not terribly gifted at being social for long periods of time. I prefer to let my piano do the talking for me.

I was just over with Paarthurnax, helping him enjoy the feast, when I realized something.

The guy has probably NEVER had a sandwich, or decently prepared meal in his size, in his life.

Do you know how to make pizza crust? I wanna make him a sandwich, and two deep dish pizza crusts would be PERFECT for the bread.

[ SOOOO after retrieving Pyth the mechanical bull, she is feeling more than a bit sore and bruised up. Thus, her judgment isn't the greatest because she's tiiiiired.

That might be why she's got a glass of alcohol in her hand instead of the juice she thought she had. She's so tired she can't even taste the difference.

Aaaaand she might be getting pretty tipsy right about now.

Someone either stop her, drink with her, or idk something, just bug her! ]

Sorry, sorry, I'm rambling. I've never actually studied the logistics of dragon-sized meals before. I'm having to think of things that I know are in the right scale.

From there, it just becomes a matter of preparing them properly. ... You're gonna want Rin to do that. I can do many things, but cooking is NOT among them.

Then do other things. There is a bull. You at least don't seem completely hopeless on your feet, so you might not end up gored.

[ She's falling on the higher end of the children age limit herself, so she's looking for gears, too!

As she IS one of the older ones, though, she's going to take Rin's stance and also help the younger ones out if they come to ask her for help, too. In the meantime, she's looking around for any sign of these gears. ]

[Her tail is wagging pretty happily, too. This reminds her a lot of Japanese-style festivals back home, and when she thinks of it like that it makes it easier to feel a little more like home here.]

Well, it's both a Harvest Festival, and one that's considered the end of the current year. Thus, it is considered Micia's festival- and Pyth's as well, but he doesn't have anything to do with the color red.

Micia is considered the Mother of all Gods here along with all of us, and she is considered the God of Loss and Longing. She welcomes all the dead to her when they leave the land of the living.

Unlike the Caelondians, we don't like to keep the dead here for too long. We burn the bodies and keep our mourning somewhat quiet after the funeral. If you bother the dead, after all, then they might find themselves too attached to this world to move on. The one exception to this is Micia's festival. For these next five days, her light burns brightest and the dead can travel freely between here and there without losing their way. If they wish to check on those they care for in the living world, they look for the color red on that of their loved ones.

It is the funerary color in the Tazal Terminals, you see.

Colin sees the two of them, and he is not going to waste any time in going to visit them.

"Hey there, Tris, Chime!" he says as he approaches. "Mind if I join you for a bit?"

It'll be an adventure! [Jeez, Aoi, could you be any less perturbed.] I dunno about comparing it to a real bull, but turning it off might not be so easy if it's on and bucking, y'know?

[ Somehow. When Viola did it, they had a whole group. One on one looks a liiiittle more tough than that. ]

I doubt we'll be able to turn it off. Not easily, anyway. I suspect there's going to be running involved.

[He sounds like he's looking forward to it. Yes, Colin is WEIRD. Of course, he seems to be of a simlar mind as Aoi.]

If we're just dealing with a basic bull analog, though, I imagine the fun part will be slapping it on the flank and then getting out of the way.
