For the past week or so, it may feel like to some that the Bastion is gearing up for something. And not anything bad, either. Something good and oh so needed. It's not just the people, the Caels and the Ura that are aware of what the coming days would mean if the world was still intact. It's like the very Bastion itself has suddenly gained new life, and there's a power over it that's greater than any person, creature or Core.

Anyone who is still awake as dawn breaks over the Bastion may find themselves inexplicably tired for no reason at all, and unable to give in to an intense need to close their eyes, just for a moment.

When everyone wakes, and I do mean everyone, the Bastion will be transformed. Decorations, lights strung across every angle, wreaths, tables with colorful cloths over them, streamers and banners and so much stuff just seemingly out of nowhere! The entire Bastion, suddenly a vibrant, beautiful place for a celebration. And not just any celebration.

[Not having experienced this before, Roxas gets up a little too quickly and has to grab for the table. Or possibly Saix. One of those is closer than the other.]

I did bad things, I died, and I ended up in an underwater bubble. You never can tell with these things.

I would really like to delude myself into believing that is not the reason, but he might very well be that insane...

[Drunken portaling is clearly a good idea. Roxas manages to open one up. Hopefully it goes to the right place?]

[Well, only way to find out! Saix takes Roxas' hand and tugs him through.]

I know. It's just weird. "RinRin" [said closer to "LinLin" this time] sounds like an idol from a pop group and that's... really not me, y'know?

'course Rin-chan is weird too cause no one ever calls me that. Back home all the boys just called me Okumura.

[Oh well, that doesn't matter because yes! Pillows! Mission accomplished, good job team. With more wobbling, Saix reaches over to grab some.]

[And Frederic takes it over. Several shards and pulls later, he has actually managed to win a few back, though hardly the number he put in.]

Hm. That wasn't as bad as I had pictured it to be. Not great, but not terrible.

The longer I was in that world, the less I was able to guess what was coming next. What I thought was a predicable dream began to change on me. I began to doubt myself, my thoughts and even my own motivations.

Regardless... I clung to the idea of Polka being some one I could protect and save... even it if meant I would do so to the detriment of the relationships I had gained there, and my own life.

[A move in the wrong direction made her wince, but while her ribs remained injured her head was clearing up. The bleeding had stopped, though the gash would still need to be bandaged before long.]
