For the past week or so, it may feel like to some that the Bastion is gearing up for something. And not anything bad, either. Something good and oh so needed. It's not just the people, the Caels and the Ura that are aware of what the coming days would mean if the world was still intact. It's like the very Bastion itself has suddenly gained new life, and there's a power over it that's greater than any person, creature or Core.

Anyone who is still awake as dawn breaks over the Bastion may find themselves inexplicably tired for no reason at all, and unable to give in to an intense need to close their eyes, just for a moment.

When everyone wakes, and I do mean everyone, the Bastion will be transformed. Decorations, lights strung across every angle, wreaths, tables with colorful cloths over them, streamers and banners and so much stuff just seemingly out of nowhere! The entire Bastion, suddenly a vibrant, beautiful place for a celebration. And not just any celebration.

Then at least one more awkward question, before I wander off and hopefully don't make a fool of myself. Is there a difference between Ura and Caeldonian.. people? Honestly, almost everyone here looks more or less what I would call 'human'....

You know, we had a gambler back with the group that I formerly worked with. From what I understand from the other members' complaints, they claimed he was a cheater.

"I've called 'em worse," Colin replied, his expression the picture of innocence. "Still haven't been struck by lightning out of the blue or anything!"

Colin looked toward the pit again, and he chuckled to himself. "If you could get a spell off, I think it would be fair game. Pyth seems to not want to give any quarter."

Oh yes. For us, opposing elements are more similar than one would normally think. Two sides of the same coin, you could say. Let's see... [He pauses to think for a moment, looking through the various stalls about for red of some sort.]

Micia is the head of the Pantheon, the God of Loss and Longing. Pyth, as I said, the God of Commotion and Order. Lemain is Hope and Despair, while the steed Yudrig is Bravery and Impulse. Garmuth lays claim to Purpose and Folly, while Jevel rules over both Health and Atrophy and Roathus is of Thirst and Plenty. Pain and Pleasure for Hense, while there is Oath and Abandon for Acobi. Olak is the youngest, and rules over Chance and Whim.

[He nods to Zelda, pausing to briefly speak to the priestess Serena who goes to get something, before mentioning-]

They have other titles, and rule over a few other things, but those are what they are most known for.

[Yeaaah she's sort of already planning on having something after the day winds down.]

Uhm, some of it's familiar. I think there's some Western and Eastern food in here, but I really only know Japanese and some American. Like uhm...

[Oh hey those are some sushi rolls in there. There was just so much food she didn't see them at first.]

[Though his face might have looked impassive at best, on the inside the sight of the young girl enjoying her Vineapple made him happy. Sometimes, it was the simplest things that kept him going on. He reached over for a Vineapple of his own and bit into it; feeling the juice on his tongue before the piece in his mouth popped into spice...he too might smile after the pop, but only if one was paying careful attention.]

[Rin returns the gesture as much as she can while not falling over.]

...Yes, let's get that out of the way quickly before someone becomes violent as they could very well see that as an insult, Cael or Ura.

From a physical stand point, Ura tend to have very dark hair and extremely pale skin- I imagine I'm only darker because I've tanned a bit from living in Caelondia for a short while. We tend to live underground instead of above it. Caels are of darker skin, and they tend to have either brown or blond hair. On occasion, you might see white. My friend is a good example of white hair.

While we are the same... species, 'race' is something a bit different in this context. There's also the culture, too..

[Zulf has never really had fish, you see, not particularly often and not like this.]

[The Kid held the Bull aloft for a few moments, keeping his eyes locked with it as it shook and shuddered as if attempting to escape; though finally it came to a calm rest. With a groan, he set Pyth down gently and respectfully; he'd proven his strength to the God of Commotion and Order, that was all he needed and that was all Pyth seemed to need. The Kid rested a hand on its snout and whispered a small apology for bashing him one across the face before he walked over to retrieve his gun; holstering it with a sigh.

He felt calm now, he'd gotten his feelings out and felt those feelings in something else; however alive he could call a mechanical avatar of Pyth. It was good enough for them both, and with a nod, The Kid walked over to the wall and hopped up and over, taking a seat next to Zulf. He didn't speak, not yet...he just wanted to relish the feelings lifted off his shoulders for the moment.]

[She's not really sure what to say to that. She's grateful to hear it, yes, but it contradicts everything everyone has been telling her for the past year. It contradicts the Gregori's standing on her, Angel's opinion of her and what she is, Shura's treatment of her as a student and a person and most importantly it contradicts Yuki's constant nagging that she needs to be far more in control of herself if she's ever going to become Paladin.

Rin lets out a soft laugh at that and shakes her head slowly.]

You'd get laughed out of the Order with an attitude like that...

[And the smile fades in to another pained expression, eyes burning faintly as she stares at the floor.]
