For the past week or so, it may feel like to some that the Bastion is gearing up for something. And not anything bad, either. Something good and oh so needed. It's not just the people, the Caels and the Ura that are aware of what the coming days would mean if the world was still intact. It's like the very Bastion itself has suddenly gained new life, and there's a power over it that's greater than any person, creature or Core.

Anyone who is still awake as dawn breaks over the Bastion may find themselves inexplicably tired for no reason at all, and unable to give in to an intense need to close their eyes, just for a moment.

When everyone wakes, and I do mean everyone, the Bastion will be transformed. Decorations, lights strung across every angle, wreaths, tables with colorful cloths over them, streamers and banners and so much stuff just seemingly out of nowhere! The entire Bastion, suddenly a vibrant, beautiful place for a celebration. And not just any celebration.

You know how people talk about "them" doing stuff or saying stuff, but they don't mean anybody really?

[This is a surprisingly difficult concept to articulate, isn't there a word for it?]

Because Crona wasn't supposed to break completely. Because Crona was supposed to bend under the abuse, twist into something that viewed the world exactly as Medusa intended.

Instead, Crona's mind and soul snapped clean in half.

"Why the hell wouldn't I?"

"Ah, but I asked first, graarvokun." Paarthurnax pulls his head back somewhat as if to inspect him. "Do you not know?"

"Cause I can, moron!"

Ragnarok doesn't even have to punch Crona in the head this time for the meister to flinch.

[wayofvoice]

"You are also capable of not doing so to your partner, are you not?"

[blackblooded]

"So what? I feel like hitting Crona, and you can't stop me!"

Yeah, like that.

Everybody can be a jerk sometimes. Even Sora.

[wayofvoice]

"I have not tried." He gives a thoughtful rumble. "I suppose it could be done, but Vokunsumah must put away the bag. I would not want my student go hold such a thing for much longer."

That's not something I would expect to hear from you.

[Zia has been lingering a decent distance from the table for a while now, just sort of...watching. Mostly she's trying to figure out how, exactly, to deal with that...giant...hungry thing???? in order to talk to Crona.

Eventually she decides to just...walk over and take a seat next to them as casually as she can manage. It's tough, but she's doing her best.]

'course I do, he's my brother. But I know him better than anybody, and- he's really awesome, but he's not perfect.

[Frederic isn't eager to lose what's left of his shards, but he'd be lying if he said he wasn't at least curious to see how far he could get this to go.
