Day 127 | Open :: I stared up at the sun
Who: Frederic and anyone else who comes across him moping about
Open: Open
When: Day 127
Where: The lake on the other side of the Dragonfield
What: Frederic really wants his piano, but he's short the shards required for it. This is very distressing for Mr. Chopin.
Format: action
Warnings: Overly dramatic composers
[Composing a song was just one step in many While Frederic was more than happy to find that his skills hadn't atrophied any in the time he had spent in the other world and the time he had been in this new one, he was equally as distressed that he couldn't actually do anything beyond put the notes to paper.
Not getting to play his beloved piano was beginning to become a point of physical duress for him, and he had no idea how to handle it. He had never been away from the keys of his favored instrument for so long.
To say as much to anyone, though, was a wretched thought he didn't want to entertain. How weak he must appear to them all, finding something as petty as the lack of a musical instrument to moan and whine over when they were living on the edges of a ruined world!
But that didn't stop him from withdrawing himself from others to go find a place to sulk about it, because what else could he do?
Some survivors might hear an odd occasional sigh coming from the small lake that led in to the river that bordered the Dragonfield, and if they cared to investigate it the would find a certain composer lying on his back, staring at the odd colored sky above.]

A well dressed blob but still a blob.]
Hm?
[Oops he was probably totally in some one's way, wasn't he? Frederic sits up, looking a bit sheepish.]
I'm sorry, I'm not in your way am I?
no subject
I just wanted to make sure you were okay.
no subject
[Her, on the other hand...]
I feel as though I should be asking you that question, though.
no subject
I guess I was just going a little stir crazy…
no subject
[Frederic offers a sympathetic chuckle with that.]

I'm used to moving around all over, so even being confined to a world takes some getting used to ... I guess it's a bit fortunate that the world I was in before this one was kind of the same way in terms of confinement.
[ Talking about Vatheon made her sad, though ... and her home world, too. She tried not to show it. She'd gotten most of her emotional crap about it out at this point. ]

[He lets out a wistful sigh.]
I suppose not everyone is capable of sharing my experience, nor would they want to. And you're young yet! To have such freedom must have been exhilarating.

[ Let's not talk about being cooped up anymore, because that's not something either of them seem to enjoy. ]
You play piano?
no subject
Yes. I am a composer, actually. Quite famous where I came from, in fact.
no subject
[ Yep, she's impressed. Her eyes are wide and she has a huge smile. She's pretty famous where she comes from at this point too, but she won't talk about that. It's embarrassing. ]
I would really like to hear you play sometime!
[ If this place has a Piano at all. ]
no subject
There is no piano here yet, but I would like to work towards getting one. I was considering someplace out doors, so my pieces could be heard by others.

[ .... huh. that's. something. ]
I only just got here recently, and I've kind of been in the hospital since then, so ... I haven't had a lot of time to really get to know the place.

[ MIND BLOWN. ]

[ That is a strange concept that she is pretty glad she won't have to deal with in this place, no offense. ]

That said, I do hope you're not straining yourself by being out here.
no subject
Well ... I don't feel any worse now than I did before? I have a feeling my boyfriend might get a bit worried if he comes back to the hospital room and finds me gone ...
[ ... Whoops. That might not be a good thing. She also has a feeling N will understand, though, knowing how restless she had been lately. ]
no subject
Shouldn't you return before he does then? Would you like me to escort you back?
no subject
[ She wants to stay out a little longer, though, and it's pretty obvious. ]
I should be fine getting back on my own.
[ Though if you don't escort her, she might not go directly back to the hospital. ]
no subject
Are you certain? You wouldn't want to have something happen and find yourself alone and unable to call for help.
