Day 127 | Open :: I stared up at the sun
Who: Frederic and anyone else who comes across him moping about
Open: Open
When: Day 127
Where: The lake on the other side of the Dragonfield
What: Frederic really wants his piano, but he's short the shards required for it. This is very distressing for Mr. Chopin.
Format: action
Warnings: Overly dramatic composers
[Composing a song was just one step in many While Frederic was more than happy to find that his skills hadn't atrophied any in the time he had spent in the other world and the time he had been in this new one, he was equally as distressed that he couldn't actually do anything beyond put the notes to paper.
Not getting to play his beloved piano was beginning to become a point of physical duress for him, and he had no idea how to handle it. He had never been away from the keys of his favored instrument for so long.
To say as much to anyone, though, was a wretched thought he didn't want to entertain. How weak he must appear to them all, finding something as petty as the lack of a musical instrument to moan and whine over when they were living on the edges of a ruined world!
But that didn't stop him from withdrawing himself from others to go find a place to sulk about it, because what else could he do?
Some survivors might hear an odd occasional sigh coming from the small lake that led in to the river that bordered the Dragonfield, and if they cared to investigate it the would find a certain composer lying on his back, staring at the odd colored sky above.]

[Frederic thought to his own friends, and the things he had done to them in desperation to change his situation.
Ah... I suppose that would make me quite detestable then, wouldn't it?
Like her, he didn't want to burden anyone else with the thoughts in his head, and he simply returned his attention to petting Frillish.]

N says the same thing. He says it's the reason he took an interest in me to begin with.

[Have a curious headtilt at that, Hilda.]

Ah ... my boyfriend.
[ She's blushing as she says it. Obviously he hasn't been her boyfriend for very long. ]

[It would be quite sad if he wasn't.]

[ She looks to the side sheepishly. ]
We ... didn't exactly come here from our home world. We were headed back there when the shuttle crashed here.

It ... happened. There's nothing we can do about it now. All we can really do is keep moving forward, right?
[ Even though she says that, though, it's obvious she's far from over it all. ]

[ she smiles again. ]
It wouldn't be the first time I've had to make the best of a situation.

[ She thinks about it. ]
I know change can be really hard to get used to ...
[ She's been dealing with it since she was young ... er. Though most of her major changes have been in the last year. ]
... It's something we really have to roll with. Things are going to happen that are beyond our control, right? Sometimes we have to deal with what we're given, for as long as we have the means to.

[Frederic offered her a smile then, though. A small one that was far too sad for the expression it resided on.]
Knowing that some one of your youth and vigor has such a promising start on their life... even here, it brings me hope for what this place may some day be.

I hope you'll continue to find more of that hope here, Mr. Frederic.

I'm sure I will. Thank you.
