Day 127 | Open :: I stared up at the sun
Who: Frederic and anyone else who comes across him moping about
Open: Open
When: Day 127
Where: The lake on the other side of the Dragonfield
What: Frederic really wants his piano, but he's short the shards required for it. This is very distressing for Mr. Chopin.
Format: action
Warnings: Overly dramatic composers
[Composing a song was just one step in many While Frederic was more than happy to find that his skills hadn't atrophied any in the time he had spent in the other world and the time he had been in this new one, he was equally as distressed that he couldn't actually do anything beyond put the notes to paper.
Not getting to play his beloved piano was beginning to become a point of physical duress for him, and he had no idea how to handle it. He had never been away from the keys of his favored instrument for so long.
To say as much to anyone, though, was a wretched thought he didn't want to entertain. How weak he must appear to them all, finding something as petty as the lack of a musical instrument to moan and whine over when they were living on the edges of a ruined world!
But that didn't stop him from withdrawing himself from others to go find a place to sulk about it, because what else could he do?
Some survivors might hear an odd occasional sigh coming from the small lake that led in to the river that bordered the Dragonfield, and if they cared to investigate it the would find a certain composer lying on his back, staring at the odd colored sky above.]

[Who's this asshole?]
[Well, it's an asshole with a dog. A very cheery golden retriever, in fact, who contrasts so hard with Saix's serious and black-clad form that it might be kind of funny. He just wanted to take his dog on a walk before it went mad from inactivity, and he comes across this. Tch.]
[Also of not is a Berserker Nobody lurking some meters behind its master. Just. Y'know. To make sure he was okay. Listen, it needs something to do, okay? Rather similar to its master in that regard...]

The tone did make him scowl, though it was a soft scowl that didn't denote any real anger, just a mild upset that he was being called out on his behavior.
The dog was a nice sight, but the Nobody also earned a slight eyebrow raise. What in the world...]
I wasn't aware I was making any sort of noise that was "wallowing in misery".

The sighing. Once, it's dismissible enough, but a series of them is pathetic to the highest degree. I have certainly dealt with enough dramatic types to pick up on that.
[For the record, he didn't like any of them, either.]
no subject
I'm not sure who you are to judge my actions so, but I assure you I am not being pathetic, sir.

Absolutely not! What a ridiculous notion!

Really, though, she doesn't have much to say, but that doesn't stop her turning and staring at him as he sighs. She may look curious, but to be honest, she's probably just going to make fun of him for anything he tells her.]
no subject
Ironic considering this is actually how he met Polka, only it was the other way around.]
... hello.

[Honestly, she's really not good at this -- and asking very specific things would probably just seem strange.]
no subject
[Kind of a lie. It's not wrong per se but he's not terribly pleased at the moment either.]
I'm merely lamenting something that can't really be helped right now.

[She doesn't show it, but she misses her library very badly.]

[If he knew he would echo similar sentiments.]

Yep. Just. Sneaked right on outta there.
Her arm was still in a cast, and she had her sling with her to make extra sure she wouldn't be using it. Since coming here and being badly injured on arrival, she hadn't gotten much of a chance to explore. Granted, she had also suffered some pretty bad emotional injuries as well, when she and N had been told where this place was and what had become of Vatheon ... and that had put quite the damper on things, too. She was feeling a little more like herself now, though.
Her explorations brought here to the area Frederic was currently sitting in. Hilda noticed him, but she didn't say anything. Not yet. No, for now she was focused on looking around at where she was. ]
/shhh
He's just going to lay there. Staring.
Yup.]

She felt compelled to go over and check on him. You know, make sure he's alive and whatnot. ]
... Sir?
[ Wow that sounds awkward. ]
no subject
A well dressed blob but still a blob.]
Hm?
[Oops he was probably totally in some one's way, wasn't he? Frederic sits up, looking a bit sheepish.]
I'm sorry, I'm not in your way am I?
no subject
I just wanted to make sure you were okay.

[Her, on the other hand...]
I feel as though I should be asking you that question, though.

When she pinpoints the source of these sad sighs, she walks over to where Frederic is lying and looks down, half-hovering over him.] Hi there! Can I join you?

I don't see why you can't.
